Ah, I've tried Underbelly before. I'm always amazed how you can vlog your food before you eat it. I'm usually super hungry, so I just devour it, lol. This video was very well made, & I appreciate your reviews!!
It's not always easy being a food vlogger! I have to quickly capture b-roll on both my camera AND my phone (and I'm stressing cuz food is getting cold), then set up my camera again so I can introduce the food, capture my first bites,... And then I can turn off the camera and enjoy 😋

yay! Glad you liked Menya the most LOL. I worked there for 8 months until almost all the servers got laid off around February 2020, right before Quarantine started. Working there was super fun and I definitely miss it!

this must be a sign for the past week or so I've been craving ramen. I don't have favorite toppings I usually just season it. but after watching this video I think next time I will probably add garlic, egg green onions and some kind of meat.

Hachi ramen was my favorite but it still hasn't reopened. Nishiki's Gyoukai is my favorite for the pandemic.
I do not know Hachi ramen as I am not from SD! Sad they haven't reopened.

I've never had ramen soup. I've eaten lots of Pho soup and I love it. San Diego has lots of good pho soup. My question is Ramon soup similar to Pho soup? Or is it a way different flavor. Also, I like a little spice. Which Ramen place do you recommend and which soup. The choices are a little confusing. Thanks
Great question!! As a Vietnamese person who also happens to be fluent in Japanese, you've asked the right person.
They are VASTLY different soups, different noodles, different histories. When it comes to ramen, there are different kinds of soups (tonkotsu/pork bone, salt broth, miso broth, soy sauce broth are the most common). Usually ramen shops will charge extra for spice.
Are you from SD? I remember really liking Menya Ultra. Though some people really like Tajima or Nishiki.

Good choices (except for Underbelly 😛) Menya ultra was good the first time I tried it but it sucked after the second and third time of visiting. Nishiki and Tajima are my faves. 👌
I happened to end up at underbelly so I included it. Seems experiences will be mixed 😂 Tajima was awesome.
