After 37 Years, Woman Who Founded Sushi Deli Restaurants Retires

Back in 1983, there weren’t many places to get sushi in San Diego… most San Diegans probably didn’t even know what it was. But that changed thanks to one woman… a recent transplant from Japan at that point. Now, 37-years later, the woman who began the Sushi Deli restaurants is retiring. KPBS reporter John Carroll explains why customers and employees alike will miss her.
