As a Marine Veteran instructor I can promise you that the entire leadership knew exactly what was on those training slides. Every year my class materials were reviewed and my classes were monitored. There is no way that the leadership did not know. They left it go because they believed in it

All my classes were attended once a year by leadership and the GAO..The fact the Army knew and approved these slides then leadership tried to pretend it was an uncaught mistake is insulting.

I'm a Marine Corps Vet and I recall many "All hands on deck" meetings relating to the material that's being mentioned.

Why wasn’t the person responsible held accountable for this training of 10,000 soldiers. This training had to be approved by someone in upper management to be added to the Army’s training program. Do they think the American people are stupid.

One reason why I got out was the rot in the officer corps. Over 18 yrs in infantry I could count on my hands the officers I would trust enough to follow. The rot started to infect the NCO corps too.

"The chain of command, the chain of command." Who, or what is "the chain of command"? I was in from 1966 to 1969, and I never heard that phrase used evasively. This stinks. I'm glad I never had to serve under these turkeys. No wonder they can't recruit.
Ultimately falls on the Unit Commander because they are suppose to be responsible for training. Corrective training could have been having them write an essay. So that's pointless. Accountability is key. Today's Army doesn't seem to remember the Army Values.

Modern senior military leaders are not held accountable for their actions (or inactions). The brunt of accountability in today's military is carried by junior members.
