He probably doesn't realize how lucky he was getting out of North Korea alive and in good shape. Otto Warmbier, an American civilian, was tortured in captivity and died soon after his release.
I am sorry for Otto's death, but he was a cocky kid in a country where you do not get away with stealing or being insulting. He should have known better.
Otto was literally looking for what he got 😂 completely different situations
This guy was completely useless. Otto was useful for a reason
👀
When the North Korean don’t want you, you have a problem.
Treason when you go over to the enemy. Use to be a firing squad offense. Now he'll just be scolded
Scolded? Bro is going to Leavenworth 😂
Genius that has not been the penalty, since WW2.
to be fair this man clearly has mental health issues
Best believe if it was war time they wouldn’t even bother with a trial 🤣 but during peacetimes appearance need to be kept up
Okay tough guy 😂
We should have made N. Korea, keep him.
even they didn't want him...
No one want culture
Oh, because the USA can make North Korea do what they want.
That's not a nice thing to say
There are actually a couple of stories of American's being treated well in North Korea. I watched a little documentary here that talked about how these three Americans were just used in North Korean films (playing the bad guys, of course) and then they lived a life of relatively status. Certainly better than how most North Korean citizens lived. Of course this was quite some time ago.
A mental examination should be required to join all branches of the Millitary.
They would have no one in their ranks then 😂
So bad the North Koreans didn't want him
Can you blame them😂
They cant swim .
Ол қара болғандықтан құндылығы жоқ.
@@emmy4537north korea has several black deserters, but they didnt want this wack job.
@@emmy4537 Tobarish 😆🫡
"Non-Commissioned Officer" you cant even get basic information correct and expect to be a source of information?
I saw that, too. Must've been an autocorrect.
In some countries, desertion’s punishment is death by firing squad.
during wartime, in peacetime right now won’t happen…
The Korean war is still on going and hasn't technically ended.
Don't trust people with eyebrows like that
My new criminal theory
😂
And grown men with bowl cuts.
Kim Jong Un told him "Sorry we're all out of crazy here...go home."
North Korean Gulag is full, go home.
Why not keep the crazy instead? North Korea seems like it could gain pr points wit US soldiers....
A non commercial officer? Lolol
I remember when one of the reasons he gave was that the "Army was racist." What a loser.
The Army itself isn't, but it has a lot if racist members.
Why does that offend you that's the real question 😊
People are allowed to share there bad experience he's is allowed you know
@@madmarx1983 There are many Black racists in the Army. Agreed.
A lot of them people are racist tho, whether u like it or not, they produce those types of storm front guys🤷🏾♀️
It's Non Commissioned Officer, not Non Commercial Officer.
What a fool...
He brings no honor to America and his family
Not many people in America do.
*His life is over.*
Not really theres way worse thing , disgraced absolutely he is , but hes life isnt over , and if he goes to prison it wont be more than 5 years
Doubt that.
Kamel toe will get him out in 6 months tops
Such a deeply troubled young man and so unfortunate that now he won’t get any help
Forgot this guy…
North Korea obviously saw no value in keeping him. He’s lucky to be alive. No amount of punishment from the American/military compares to what can happen to you in NK.
I feel bad for him. Those guys probably bullied him in the military and he couldn’t take it.. there lucky he didn’t snap and shoot them…
What an embarrassment to this country and our military
And to the recruiter who signed him up...
Usual suspook
Is he still gonna vote for Harris
Kim can’t vote in the US.
Harris will pardon him once she's elected president, join the Army again.
Wow, just a few months in jail for dessertion, assult in korea, assult after he was rescued, vandalizing a south korean police car. This whole event cost taxpayers millions. Wild stuff! Voting started yesterday so this is why. Equity is in full effect.
He needs to sell his movie rights
Former soldier
What is as he thinking? He’s so lucky to be alive.
Even Hezbolla wouldn’t want him
I spent time on the Korean DMZ in 1976 and again in 1993. I was at Camp Howze during the DMZ axe murders incident. The victims were in my Battalion. That was a dumb thing that this soldier did, running into North Korea to avoid Court Martial for what would have been a minor offense. North Korea likes to have American deserters for propaganda purposes but he must have impressed them with his history and obviously antisocial personality that he was no good for them. I hope he gets the mental health help he needs. It's unlikely he will get any substantial prison time at this Court Martial. He will get a Dishonorable Discharge and the Army will be rid of him.
He abandoned his country, why do they want him back ? Leave him over there
How come no mention of his charges regarding possession of CP?
He's only getting 2 yr? He should get 5-15 yrs
Wow, so what did he tell North Korea while he was in their custody?
Usual suspect!
? Do tell
@@ABCDEFGHIJK4097 Black people are known for defecting to North Korea apparently.

@monicarenee7949 another made up one by white people
@@monicarenee7949sub-Saharans are known for desertion and treason, look at their history in the sub-Saharan tribal wars.
What’s the jail time for those charges?
He’s definitely going to military prison, not sure for how long though.
@@Manwithaplan2021 in your opinion, is military prison better or worst than normal civilian prison?
@@darrennunes1078 Idk I don’t serve in the armed forces. I’m guessing it’s probably a little better than a regular prison. But imprisonment sucks regardless.
@darrennunes1078 civilian prison is better then military prison
Isn’t desertion death penalty?
When I was in the army and stationed overseas some guys would get a 30 day pass, go home to the US and never return. I never heard what happened to these guys. The young men who comprise the military were all levels of maturity and intelligence. Some could not think ahead and were impulsive which is what I think is the issue with this guy. He now has a dishonorable discharge. It will not effect his life that much but he will not want people to know.
What you mean a discharge effects his employeers....
He should face criminal charges in both US and NK. Entering NK the way he did should commit him to NK. Absolutely mental.
Bo Bergdahl and Robert Garwood both got handed back too. Too much of a nuisance keeping those troublesome Americans for long.
Well...Kim treats Rodman so great he thought he would give it a go on the other side of Korea.
Isn't desertion a capital offence?💀
Wish North Korea would have kept him for hard labor, but I’m sure North Korea knew/didn’t want to face the consequences of keeping a U.S. soldier. Keeping him would have been nothing but trouble as a headache for them
False Information. Its Non Commissioned Officer not Non Commerical Officer
Well his future looks bright.
I think it's pretty funny that not even the DPRK wanted him.
Some people can not survive in military service
He forgot north korea or korea is a very racist country
I FORGOT WHAT HE DID, BUT DIDNT HE HURT SOMEONE, THEY COULDVE KEPT HIM AS WELL
The battles of North and South. Its time to hear these men when they bring cocerns over being mistreated.
731 is an Area code for Memphis TN.
Seems weird to split and head to NK
He think he is James Dresnok but to my surprise he is rejected.
Soldiers like him get preferential treatment. Certainly not the army it was 20 years ago
Loser, runs away when things get tough
Unless a giant bird picked him up and flew over there, how can he be not guilty?
Those arent that serious only one that is is the desertion the rest are all njp
he decided to get himself on fire
Same with Bo with the Taliban, same kind of story. thankfully no one got killed trying to get him back smh
I like how people sitting on there couch fat eating nachos or food roasting a army officer who could have a illness or something😂😂
In these comments💀
Kinda sad north korea didn't keep it ,they would showed him some manners😅
What about his Child Corn collection??? We are just going let that slide? 😂 UCMJ at it's finest.
Treason more like.

Quiet, Putin shill. Take your racist comments elsewhere.
Non commercial officer lol....this for real?
He Made History 🤣
He's the first person get kicced outta North Korea
I love all the people taking this so seriously in the comments. Our military has been nothing but a welfare program for several decades. Stop acting like there’s any inherent “honor” involved with it.
And your plan was...? 🙄
he thought he was good G
Another DEI hire
He will be fine. He’s still young 😊
Yea he'll own a mansion and a yacht.
Dishonorable discharge? 🙄
After his prison sentence he can reenlist back to the Army.
good night

If you want to quit you should be able to we live in a free country how is it only a crim to quit the army thats insane
the army invests 100,000s of $ into training and housing and paying them under a contract with a time stamp on it, signed in advance. You cant just go get free training and living expenses etc for a couple years then be like "oh no thank you i QUIT" thats why.
@@falsename2285 so if you sign a contract with a company and it pays for your training and for your housing they should be able to put you in jail if you quit again thats insane what country are you from my guy, I am from the usa our men and women fought and died so you can have the right to quit a job and not be persecuted, it's mind boggling that those some men and women aren't given the rights they are protecting for others
@@onekingzoro8813 Thats what serving in the military is about, personal sacrifice for the greater good. And when you join you already know you will be giving up a lot of your personal rights and freedoms for that period of time. Soldiers dont get overtime pay, soldiers dont have the freedom to choose where they are or what they are doing. Soldiers dont get holidays with the family, or holiday pay. If youre day shift one week, you can be ordered onto night shift the next, and back the next, its not your choice. You lay down a LOT, hoping it will all be for the greater good in the end.
Back in the day you could get drafted, and if deserted you could get a firing squad.
Dishonorable discharge + time is light.
