Beyond disturbing, it actually demonstrates a possibly 'holier than thou' attitude commonly present in the administration of many organizations. Where Administrators view 'the workers' as a nuisance, instead of the reason for the administrator's existence. CEO's should look out for this.

I thought serving under Obama was bad.... this is on another level.
I saw a Lance Corporal get NJP'd and busted down because he broke his NVGs on accident (it was a freak accident, not due to carelessness). Keep in mind, he didn't lose them, they didn't end up in enemy hands, he wasn't negligent... but he still got paperwork.
Meanwhile, flag officers and politicians can get 19 year-olds killed because they trusted the Taliban to guard them (hurts to type), failed to plan for the most-probable contingency, then kill an innocent civilian family for 'optics' (weird strategy, cotton), then leave BILLIONS of dollars of high-tech weapons/vehicles/technology to our adversaries (TO INCLUDE THE SAME NVGs MY BUDDY BROKE AND GOT NJP'D FOR), lied about what happened, then call the troops on the ground liars despite video evidence now and what happens? They get promotions and 7-figure jobs at cooperations and think-tanks.
I used to encourage young Americans to join because it was the best decision I've ever made - I ended up a better man and going to medical school because of it. But now, I don't think I could look a young man in the eye and tell him it's a good idea. Why fight for a government that despises you?

Consider exactly what you are saying. That is true from the individual recruit's perspective, but what is ALSO true is that all this is part of why recruitment is down and has a very direct effect on military readiness.. which is a VERY important consideration for the effectiveness of our ability to defend the country.
Military readiness is THE statistic that MUST be met to have an effective military that can defend the USA.

@rbarnes4076 WW3 is fought with nukes. It's not fought in the WW2 trenches.
The WW2 lie is what they use to get people to sign up. Today's warfare is very high tech. US marines, US army and alike should know this intimately.
Has nothing to do with the military or the military personel. It's government deception to secure a meat shield. They know perfectly well ground troops are less effective on a nuclear bomb battlefield. But it helps with the PR. "Our boys".
The world has tested about 2100 nukes since 1945. +2. WW3 is about nukes.
I did my service in the airforce. Spyplanes.

Let me explain the flagging process from my experience in the Army. A soldier can fail a PT Test he will be flagged IMMEDIATELY! A flag means he cannot receive any positive actions, can’t flake leave, no promotions, no schools, nothing. The speed and efficiency that the army moves to flag a soldier is incredible. It is probably the most streamlined and proficient thing that they do. I have seen soldiers allegedly fail, a PT test, but not really fail because the test was incorrectly administered and scored before the soldier came back to work from the PT test. That soldier was already flagged. Once the error was found it took months for that flag to be lifted, in the meantime, the soldier wasn’t eligible for any military schools, the promotions that would’ve taken place in that timeframe and was not able to leave an administrative made by a clerk, and then a failure of the chain of command to exercise with the same diligence they had in placing the flag to ensure the flag was properly removed The army uses flags as punitive punishment because all soldiers how slow and effective they are and removing the flag. The flag is simply meant to be an administrative process, but it is used in a punitive manner to subvert the uniform code of military Justice.

Extremism, for wanting the US to be kick ass, it's insane. You don't see the Russian govenment holding a conference about their people in how they want Russia to be kick ass or China in how they want China to be kickass. So what country are we supposed to want to be kickass since we live in the US and that's an extreme idea to want your country to be kickass, what country are we suppose to believe to be kickass if we can't claim that about the country we live in, or that makes us a domestic terrorist. How ignorant, how ignorant noone told us what country we're suppose to see as kickass, since its domestic terrorism to want the best for our country, which is the United States of America, what country are we suppose to believe that should be kickass?

3 Star General without a clue. Clearly, his career ascension is based on who he knows and not what he knows, which is typical of government and the military. Sad, embarrassing, and preventable!
