You guys make a very fun interview. You are both my idols.
I have been with Dr. Gundry 8 years and I found Jessie a couple years ago and I thank you both for one (maybe top of my list) of my most rewarding days in my life.
I am announcing to the world my first day off metformin.
I have been diabetic for more than 40 years and if I had known years ago, what I have learned over the past 8 years it might have happened a lot sooner. But it has happened now.
I am 85 and have left only one family member and a couple of friends -- only one diabetic -- so since I have nobody to tell, I thought I may as well tell everyone. I am so happy to see the two of you now, every timer I turn around. It really helps make my day. And I think I learn something new with each encounter.
I am very grateful for everything I have gained just from having the two of you available to me. Thank you, thank you so very much.

Great podcast on how to manage glucose spike and insulin sensitivity. A savoury breakfast is a fantastic idea to start off your meal. A smoothie breakfast with a combination of the following ingredients may also control sugar spike:
    1) walnuts and pumpkin seeds
    2) pomegranate and mixed berries
    3) matcha, moringa and spirulina powder
    4) psyllium husk with Ceylon cinnamon powder and ginger powder

Wow, 2 health genius together. I followed both of your advices . I drink either balsamic vinegar or ACV after a heavy carb meal like eating rice in a day. Also I eat vege first before anything else. Anyways, I can't eat a meal in a day without a vinegar dip and hot chillies, that's my kind of appetizer. I also do intermittent fasting 16/8 or more daily except for a week prior my period as I followed Doc Mindy Pelz as well. You're one of the great health experts I really admire and religiously followed. Since I do IF, my system simply discard sweet things and sweet cravings. I don't feel hungry even for longer hours. Thank you both. I learned so much even after being type 2 diabetic and doing a lot of research. Have been eating a savory breakfast for quite awhile without knowing it. I have breakfast between 9 and 11am. Dinner around 6pm which is vegetable for half the plate and lean chicken or grass fed beef. Starch recently changed to farro/bulgar/hemp seeds/flax ground, etc. and maybe a bite of dark chocolate with berries or half of an apple (granny smith). Hoping this leads to better health. Now starting to incorporate a 20-30 minute walk. Any comments?

I had diabetes 10 years ago, caught it early, it took me 3,5-4 months to reverse it, never came back after that. I check my blood every year, all diabetes markers in optimal range. I eat anything I want but of course now I understand that I can’t have huge amounts of carbs without resting and generally I don’t eat junk foods/processed etc. It’s all about the insulin. You must give it time to come down. I had 3 meals with no snacks in between. Then it became too much and I cut down to 2, then 1 meal a day as my body switched to burning fat. I wasn’t hungry at all, 1 meal a day was plenty. I excluded all fruit except for limes, lemons, avocados and green kiwi once a week as a dessert. Or raspberries 100g as dessert once a week. All drinks - soda, soft drinks, juices no matter if they’re fresh or not. I drank only water and herbal teas such as green tea, chamomile tea and peppermint tea. Apple cider vinegar, lemon water with mint. Rarely used stevia drops without alcohol when I felt like sweets.(first two weeks were tough!) I had no processed foods, no candy, no sweets, no breads, no pastas or anything made from flour. I had veggies and a protein with healthy fats. You have to add healthy fats! Don’t go for lean meats like chicken breast, it will make you hungry, it will be hard to sustain the diet especially in the first couple of weeks. I had organic grass fed butter, but no dairy. My sugars from food were minimal. I had 1-2 cubes of dark chocolate and almond milk which had some naturally occurring sugars. I did have potato a couple of times a week, usually baked then cooled down then warmed up again with butter. So, very simple - veggies on a plate + protein (meat, chicken, fish, eggs, etc). Maybe a bit of organic mayo, fermented veggies like kimchi or sauerkraut. Spices are ok to use. + I took supplements to make the cells sensitive to insulin again. I took berberine, zinc, magnesium. My insulin was pretty bad, despite my strict diet, I had no changes in weight or symptoms for first 6 weeks. My sleep improved around week 4, but that was pretty much it. I was about to give up, then saw Jason Fungs lecture where he mentioned that some cases may take a while before there are any results. I decided to give it a few more weeks and on week 6, I just woke up one day feeling better and so much lighter. I felt like I lost a lot of weight just overnight. The next day I woke up feeling like I had lost more weight. I started losing so much weight so quickly that I actually added extra carbs into my diet because it was extreme and I needed it to slow down, I literally felt like I was deflating. 4 months later I had lost 26kg, my skin cleared up, my vision went back to normal, no more blurry vision even tho doctors told me it was ageing and there was nothing I could do, I had no idea it was the insulin resistance/diabetes side effect, so that was a nice surprise, my anxiety went away, I slept well, no more water retention and swollen feet/ankles, no more feeling hungry all the time, no more getting dizzy when trying to exercise (I did not exercise during my diet as I used to get too dizzy and felt like I was about to faint anytime I’d do any exercise even yoga). So you’re definitely on the right track! Don’t give up!

I'm really, really taken by our difference in cultures. We ARE more rushed here; we DO use seed oils & processed foods with infinite shelf-life. We DO eat rapidly...and it's messing us (U.S.) up! The French are SO in tune with health...above and beyond the food, which they eat fresh. Ninety minutes for a lunch break for children IS appropriate. No wonder I'm often a nervous wreck...it's bred into our system. SLOW DOWN, AMERICA.

So I had to "survive" without eating sweet food ; TH-cam helped me a lot...now my TG level is ok, but I stil need to be careful. Thank you Jessie for this helpful video and all the advices ❤

Doctor you are so delightfully refreshing interviewer. The way you talk slowly, clearly, mindfuĺly, respectfully… It was fun hearing you two talk! And Jesse… I love you, this is like a 15th interview I’ve listened with you :D I can’t get enough of your view of the world. And by now I now very well what glucose is… but I still like hearing you talk about it xD❤🎉

I appreciate this woman that speaking because she said. We've been blast it with the Toxic messages about we came from an 8 or something just exploded in the air, and here we all are period but in reality Jesus Christ came and walked this Earth, he died, he took our sin on the cross. He Rose again and he is alive the great exchange. He came to lay down his life and give us the great exchange of eternal life. And he took our toxic life. What a wonderful message not like what they tell us. In schools that I came from an ape give me a break

Some dentists say, if our mouth bacteria is healthy, our saliva recovers our tooth enamel during fasting. And constantly eating snacks and taking sips from our drinks prevents this process. Basically eating removes some protective surface minerals etc. and our teeth needs to rest to recover from eating anything.

In Sweden we always had strawberries in summer that taste great when grown locally. I don't know anybody still that eat them there in winter. I think the diet here in America is very strange. I am sad that most of the food here is so poor in quality. Any small neighborhood grocery store in Sweden carry health food products and fresh seasonal produce as well as organic choices and wonderful cheeses in huge pieces that are superb and much more affordable than here in the US.

I will remember the calf raising for my next turbulent flight. I was on one 4 days ago. Terrifying in this case even though I have flown many times. In the mountains, bad weather, but this is normal in this location not that knowing this helped my terror. Everything else I heard here is also very interesting. Thank you. What a surprise to see Jessie and Dr. G talking Glucose and Insulin resistance. I like the banana / chihuahua analogy except that chihuahuas were bred from foxes, not the grey wolf. But, I get the point. I am in the process of practicing the eating sequencing hack she speaks of with regards to eating savory breakfasts, veggie starter, movement etc. I also enjoy Dr. G’s fake coke hack. I follow Dr. Mindy Pelz’ advice on fasting and eating ketobiotic foods. So, cute them both doing calf raises!. Ha ha ha!
