My unpopular opinoin is that Indian Tv industry also take risk & do experiment but due to low budget, popularity all ended as daily soap or weirdly. Who's fault is that ??

On Nostalgia baiting, i remember Art Guy Rob from Pogo M.A.D said in a podcast, "Millennials keep telling me, we miss you and your show. Why dont you bring it back? But i tell them that they dont miss me, but their childhood"
Man, I loved that show and art attack. I don't think Rob is just nostalgia bait coz I still watch his yt videos from time to time and it still makes me excited.
Hope so the comeback of Priyadarshan does not end up like a Nostalgia bait, I feel no as Priyettan was not a flop star like Fardeen and Imraan and actually got public love and even he is not making masterpieces but atleast making watchable films like Corona Papers. Now the goodwill depends on his documentary.

I feel that the TV industry does justice to such epics just cause it's more open and has long telecasting time.
One of those is MAHABHARAT (2014) on star plus. I remember watching it as a kid and it's still one of my favourites.
I remember watching ramanand sagar's Ramayan and B.R Chopra's Mahabharat and Vishnupuran in lockdown.
That was something pure and seemed realistic.
Also I don't hate 2014 Mahabharat because its amazing too.

Even Prabhas need a reality check after bahubali
In my opinion, Geetanjali from "Animal" was a really strong character. She never tolerated his nonsense and consistently held up a mirror to him. Those slaps were incredibly satisfying to watch. Even at the end, she was on the verge of leaving but stayed, possibly because there's a part 2. I hope her character remains just as strong in the sequel. Rashmika performed incredibly well in that confrontational scene; it stayed with me for a long time, and my heart went out to her.

Absolutely agree, especially with Rashmika's performance in Animal. Though I really wish she didn't do films like Varisu, but i somewhere get why she did those. Really looking forward for her upcoming projects, she is having a great lineup
I am looking forward to The Girlfriend. She is quite talented. I do think she has done enough movies to demonstrate her commericial viability so perhaps we will see her do more movies that allow her to demonstrate her range viz. Animal, Geeta Govindam, Dear Comrade ...

The one movie where I actually rooted for Rashmika was Animal. Her character and that bedroom argument scene was so impactful, it literally felt connected with real couples who have their own share of bedroom arguments.
I have to literally console my partner who was sobbing for her and hating Ranbir's character to core.
Vijay shouldn't try to be the next pan india star.... But choose interesting characters and give us what we loved when we first saw him..... The rawness of a brilliant performer 🤞🤞

you could say lottery. but that man gave away 5 years of his career to make one movie which is an extremely bold move. and transformed his body and maintained it for years which requires a whole lot of working out and diet restrictions.
we can easily say bahubali now.but the budget that was put on bahubali is waaaayyy above any industries box office. the whole team went through so much physical and mental stress .
sure he made shit movies after that and has got 3 disasters in a row. but people talk about prabhas as if he didn't have a career before bahubali. he got a hit with saaho, kalki looks promising.

@@anandam1 I will give Prabhas a little credit for trying different genres at least. All his films post Bahubali are different genres. So I think he still has it in him to choose good scripts. But he needs to put in effort, and I agree that he isn't putting in effort at all . Kalki seems interesting, let's see.

They are changed every five years and may play mother to previous co star. What should he talk about. The never shortening gap between characters aged or the fact what they're not considered bankable but just pretty faces. In that respect south has many actresses who have been bankable😊and encouraged.

I was just about to say this! There has been a rise of female directors and actors: Alankrita, Konkana, Shefali Shah, Tilottama... there's no mention of any of them. Kiran Rao's Laapata Ladies is getting admiration from everywhere and he has the nerve to say "Bollywood, represented by all these men, is in crisis". This deep seated preconception that Bollywood is defined by its male actors... ab iske baare mein hum kya hi bolien...
To be very honest, Rashmika was the saving grace in a movie where all the other actors were unidimensional.

Indians should stop thinking we are the worst in the world. We are audience that make hit every kind of genre of movies, music, dance.
Indian actors want demi god status but don't want cons that come along with it. If you make statements about religion, country etc and expect all people to still support them? There are pros and cons for that just accept it. Or just talk only about your craft.

I really want you to do a separate video about Vicky kaushal's career graph...bro I think that man is something else... lately I was watching his interviews from the time of masaan and even the recent one. .. it's really amazing how much he has grown over the years and the kind of scripts he is choosing...I love the fact that atleast most of the films he did were not in the category of "masala blockbuster films" but still he did create his place in this industry, became a bankable star and managed to gain the fan following...i am really excited as an audience to see what he will do next ❤

I was controlling myself not to comment on any topic, but OMG !!! you dropped a huge bomb about Sushin vs Anirudh. as non native fan of both industries and having experience both their works specially of Sushin's in his last movies Manjumel Boys and Aavesham, he took the trophy in my leader board, Anirudh can make your blood rush in theaters with his BGM but Sushin can make you sit on the edge of the seat and groove you with his songs later even after coming out. Almost all his songs are in my playist, the range is awesome from Melody, Rap, Rock, even Metal (Theeru Cheepu) 🤩🤩

"Crisis" word was probably used as many of the A-list actors of Bollywood are currently facing a low-point in their career, be it Akshay, Salman, Aamir, Ranveer, Ayushmann. Same with the females like, Deepika & Kangana.

I just wish we could invest more into ANIMATED Hindu films rather than the live action stuff. I grew up on those animated Ramayana and Hanuman. If they got a Pixar-level reproduction, that would be a huge hit for children and families.

What people don't understand is when ranbir and rashmika was fighting in that scene their children were sleeping in the same room. So she can't shout at him and wake them up so that whole forceful whispering is quite on point.
She got more hate on the trailer and for her dialogue delivery because none of us knew where that scene would be placed, they should’ve used another scene to put there in the trailer

Imo, VDK's career choices are a combination of everything. Dear Comrade's failure made him choose Liger ( Commercial mass genre). Liger's failure made him choose feel good romcom films ( Kushi, Family star) which also failed. His offscreen attitude doesn't help either because that attitude requires strong scripts. Mediocre scripts will only bring heavy trolls. Maybe for someone like Nani, Kushi/Family star would have been Average at BO because of his offscreen attitude. VDK saw early fame, continuous hate from a few major star heroes fans, offscreen attitude, over estimation of his BO pull and so on. All these are the reasons for his downfall. Hope he comes back stronger but it is really difficult for him to become a star now. That time is gone.

Agree with you on Rashmika in Animal. This is probably gonna be more controversial but till Animal, I never took Rashmika seriously as an actress. It doesn't help that my first time watching a Rashmika film was Sarileru Neekevaaru(a movie I hate so much I made a drinking game out of it). Even in Pushpa, the movie I enjoy as does my father, we rarely bring up Rashmika as a big plus point. That changed with Animal. A friend of mine was not kidding when she said she roared like a lioness

In that scene, Rashmika's character stripped Vijay naked off all dignity and showed him his place! And because Vijay had no logical answers all he could do as a spoilt man-child was pull out the gun on her

I felt bad for Rashmika because she delivered a fantastic performance in that particular confronting scene in Animal. She deserved more appreciation. Also, both Ranbir and Sai pallavi look fantastic as Ram and Sita. I dont know why people can't welcome and appreciate new ambitious projects when the crew is really trying their best. Oh, and the ruckus that was created before Bhrahmastra for that beef eater controversy is so stupid. Also, Ranbir said he will only eat veg until the schedule of Ramayana gets completed. Bollywood has become an industry where people in social media can dump hate on, notwithstanding the fact they deserve any criticism or not. Everything is anti some religion if we only see everything through the lens of controversy and agenda. This is why I believe, the immense successs of Pathan brought back some positivity in social media. Those stupid boycott trends came to a stop, and positivity won over hate.

About rashmika case is, people started to hate her before animal for various and different reasons and so when she did a fabulous job in animal they just don't want to accept it, they found something in it without knowing the context and bashed for it all around and want to ignore the rest
She got trolled allot for the trailer and her dialogue delivery and in the movie her character was mostly shown standing in the background, she wasn't highlighted as much, only in the confrontational scenes the spotlight was on her, & tripti took the limelight because of the intimate scenes, which is so sad she’s a great actress and she has done so much better work in the past, but she got fame just for doing some intimate scenes.
Vijay deverkonda is the prime example of overconfidence the way speaks reflects that he considers himself as some kind of superstar even while being in flops he needs a more humble approach on screen as well as off screen

i agree recent anirudh music is 90% more about commercial entertainers, However i can never forget music albums like Ethirneechal, 3,Kaththi, Remo(not the movie), Naanum rowdy dhan.. Those films succeeded mostly because of the music than thr film itself..
Also, as a tamizh person, i will always choose ghilli because it was one of our childhood movie that can be watched 1000times and never get bored😁

I do not know where to start. All of the media we are exposed to is either carefully engineered to evoke specific reactions or thrown at random to evoke any kind of reaction. At this point, it is difficult to say which of the fluff pieces are actually pre-planned and which ones are eventually just lazily drawn out.
Totally agree with your views on Rashmika, VD, and Farhan Akhtar. And I love that you mentioned "Dear Comrade", which is never a movie that comes out of Tollywood- so nuanced, so beautifully thought-out.
About the new Ramayan, I wonder if netizens even consider the fact that raw photos and footage are well, "raw", and that the final outcome is never the same. Do we need to remind ourselves constantly that the final product for ANY film is NEVER like this?
Finally, my two cents on Imran Khan is nothing different from what you have already said: IK is not a striking actor who has ever given groundbreaking performances. It so happens that his limited range fit within the characters and story arcs for most of his films.
As someone who recently revisited Animal with an absolutely open mind and was completely floored by Rashmika in particular -- OH MY GOD YES!!
As for the comebacks, well... I thought rashmika was brilliant in a film like animal eventhough personally I didn't like the film. She was meant to play a southindian hence the dialogue delivery slightly different to what hindi speaking audience are used to. She did full justice to geetanjali.
She has been proving her acting brillance since kirik party geeta govintham dear comrade days. There is definitely a group or campaign against rashmika and vijay. They are highly criticised trolled even before their releases. Especially rashmika God knows why. I hope rashmika mandanna gets her overdue acting credit with her upcoming projects.
My unpopular opinion is that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is just on his high horse he did a lot of unnecessary thing just to show to the reporters how far he can go and it negatively impacted animal story specially the opening animal could have been a lot better of a movie if he focused on the movie and I think he is on the path of self destruction the thing that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is doing could get old pretty fast somebody will come who will be better at making that those kind of movies that person will know what not to do I think he should focus on his movie not try to peace off the reporter just for the sake of it the problem is not violence or the story line problem is that it's affecting his movies in negative way.
Here's my unpopular opinion:- No actor ever will taste success as Khans did. Salman, Shahrukh and Aamir have created such a competition for themselves that today's actors won't find such competition.
Varun, Vijay, Kartik etc will come and go but they cannot establish themselves as Superstar or Megastar.

Yes, it was also a different age and era, the age of the superstar is over everywhere, even in Hollywood, they have very few superstars left and all of them are from bygone era like Cruise, Denzel, Will Smith, etc.
It doesn't actually work like that bro. They are last stars BUT in our generation. I'm malayali so I can only speak in terms of Malayalam industries. During our grandparents time actors like premnasir and jayan where the superstars, the fanbase and craze actors like jayan created then where huge, people then believed they where the last of stars. But then came actors like mohanlal and mammotty.. they are the superstars of our parents and also somewhat our generation too, just like how the khans are for Bollywood. Soon their time will also end, we'll grow old and die. The next generation would know them only through their movies and not stardom. There will be new superstars, could be anyone. We feel like there won't be anyone else because we haven't experienced anything as big as the Khan's stardom. But that won't be the same for our kids and grandkids. The story continues.

I do think Anirudh churns out bangers with hero introductions and massy moments in films, Sushin creates a unique mood for a film through his incredibly versatile scores.
This might be an unpopular take.. but i do think Anirudh's rock induced electronic music have started to become too similar to differentiate nowadays. Maybe that has got to do with the saturation ig.
Also try and check out the band Down Troddence's tracks.. Sushin Shyam is the keyboardist of that band btw.

He said how, finally he can make movies that audiences will watch and hopefully earn money from them.
He's also said how he's trying to move out of his rebellious phase and despite having strong stances on what he likes in the Hindi movie industry and what he doesn't, he is trying to make movies that aren't as much of a *genre film* as his previous works.
So, I think it's fine. He is changing up his work and maybe we won't like it but he's still the guy who gave us bangers after bangers.

Tamanna Bhatia has been in the film industry for along time, yet as graceful, beautiful and popular as she is.. I have only seen 2 notable acting performances... Happy Days (which I saw in 3rd year of college and was genuinely overwhelmed as our BTech years would also be ending soon) and Devi (horror comedy, jokingly dubbed in HIndi as Tutak Tutak Tutiya.. glad I watched the Tamil one with subs). She is part of project after project without the proects or her roles making any sense. A key part of us the Hindi audience learning about acting abilities of South film actresses has been because of Raj & DK - Priyamani, Samantha, Rashi Khanna ... who knew that they could showcase great acting performances too and not be the heroine used for eye candy. Nayanthara and Anushka Shetty have both truly evolved over the years. Sometimes you just need a movie/show maker to evoke a good performance. Look at Varun Dhawan in October, Badlapur, the 2 Dulhaniya movies, Bhediya and look at him in every other project, especially the ones directed by his father - who was a rage when we .. and Varun, were growing up, but his style is very outdated now.
