I think Arjun kapoor would have been a better choice for the role. Shahid was looking very obvious acting and there was no realism to it. The effect was more for Arjun reddy because it was surprising and interesting to see a new guy in powerful edgy character. Arjun kapoor body and expressions in 2 states also looks similar to Vijay in Arjun reddy. And I think only Arjun kapoor and ranbir kapoor have the body and jaw line and bone structure of a rich guy. Shahid looks pale and thin and short and doesn’t look like rich guy like the demands.

IMHO, Choosing Rashmika over Parineeti had more to do with catering the audience of southern India than the character. As the casting was done long before the PAN India explosion during COVID maybe Sandeep reconsidering his casting decision and chose Rashmika.

Salman Khan was going through a very bad phase during the 2000s. The same period was SRK's absolute prime. Salman's confidence in experimental cinema was broken forever after Phir Milenge, Luck and Marigold's failure. Years later he took the risk again with Tubelight and fate again went against his gamble... I'm sure he will never experiment again because of this unfortunate track record.. and will stick to the 'Bhai' brand of cinema.
He actually confesses during the same interview that he benefited and had some relief with Partner doing well. But of course it was nowhere close to the success SRK was revelling in. It took Wanted to really propel him!
When aamir and shahrukh can go both physical and emotional prepared for roles, even beyond their haydays it would be a game changer, but salman lacks short behind such efforts and commitment, his name itself is a biggest pullback for audience, he wants to playsafe on that name

Mujhe to katai ordinary film lagi thi. Un dino i used to be a great huge fan of Aamir Khan, and there was uncertainty whether that film would get released or not because of Aamir Khan's anti Narmada Dam statements. Finally it got released, I watched it, and found it dull. For people like me who were already aware about issues like dyslexia etc there wasn't much the film had to offer. May be for the aam janta who bothers only seeing daily soaps or cricket matches it was eye opening etc. Or may be those students who performed poorly in school, it was a sweet revenge/redemption.

Deepak Tijori was supposed to be in Baazigar. Abbas-Mustan stole his idea, took SRK and sold the film to Venus... not SRK's fault (because he didn't know about this). Abbas-Mustan betrayed their friend and SRK became one of the biggest sensations of the era..

The director duo agreed, and Pooja Bhatt was supposed to be the heroine. After just few days, Deepak got to know that Abbas-Mustan took the script to Venus with SRK as the hero and sold the rights.
When Deepak confronted Abbas-Mustan with the help of his big producer friend (Rikku Rakesh Nath).. the duo requested him to let go because their career was just starting and stakes were there. Deepak was generous and let it go.. but he was betrayed and robbed.

Actually sukumar said in a interview that he had a different version of the Pushpa story for Mahesh babu along with his sensibilities and mannerisms and then had made several changes to the final script and narrated it to allu arjun
That Hrithik Karan scene was so good, i was rewatching Luck by chance a few months back and realised how good that scene truly was cos it felt so real. Zoya clearly potrayed the insecurities that actors feel through Hrithik in that scene brilliantly. Also the background score was really good.

Many Are Throwing Criticism Towards Prabhas Acting Nowadays Where I Also Think Prabhas Is More Of A Commercial Movie Star Like Rajinikanth And Less Of A Natural Actor Like Nani, Surya, Prithviraj, Hrithik, Etc. But Having Said This You Cannot Seperate Bahubali From Prabhas, He Is Bahubali Through & Through. Prabhas Is So Perfect As Bahubali That Imagining Any Other Actor In That Role Is Like War Crime Because Prabhas Embodies The Character Of Bahubali, He Himself Is Shy, Honest, Loyal And Helpful As Bahubali. Actually You Can Still See Bahubali In Prabhas Even If He Last Played The Character Almost 7-8 Years Ago.
Even though there has been a lot of new Bollywood actors in last couple of years, I can't substitute anyone with Ranbir Kapoor in most of his roles. His eyes are mesmerizing. He is one of the most good looking guy in Bollywood regardless his reputation.

@ArsalanAFG-fo1yx what? Did you just put srk and salman in the same league? It's not a matter of opinion. It's an objective fact that srk is miles ahead and has a range that salman doesn't. Salman was decent when he started, but he got worse as he got lazy, but srk was good from the start and improved and continued to push his own boundaries. I am not saying srk is the greatest actor in the world but he is def way ahead, amg all the khans. He doesn't need a strong script and best direction to shine. Salman needs an extremely good director and a good script to cover up his flaws and perform decently. There is no movie in salman's filmography that someone else couldn't have done it better. He has money, star power and screen presence, and that is why he survived for so long.

Ranvir singh as kabir singh would have been an obvious choice, so obvious that it would have backfired as ranvir would bring his quirks to the already portrayed (telugu) role. Shahid kapoor is a completely unexpected choice, and it was a pleasant surprise which worked majorly for the movie.

John in Rockstar the first thing that came to my mind was Kun Faya Kun song especially the part Sajna Savera Mera Tan Barse the way Ranbir acted in the song itself man no can replace him in Rockstar.
Choosing deepika for both bajirao mastani and padmavaat is wise considering she was at the top of her game infront of someone like rs who was yet to prove his stardom ! Also aish has done something similar to mastani in jodha akbar and it would be repeated so i guess it landed for the best choice and ppl still till today dance to ghoomar and deewani 🙌

Ok here is a throwback but really interesting one:
BR Chopra liked Mithun Chakraborty and mentioned him to Yash Chopra when the story for Vijay (1988) was being made. The role of Arjun was meant to be for Mithun. Mithun was also considered because the last release of Yash Raj, Faasle, had under performed and by having Mithun, who was giving a lot of hits at the time of conception, I think the Chopra's were hedging their bets (to get the masses to the theatre).
Unfortunately, once the film was ready to be made Mithun did not have the dates required to be booked, so Anil Kapoor was brought in.
If you watch the film the inflection Anil Kapoor uses and even his wardrobe is all a bit long in length. All because it was written and made with Mithun in mind.
Also, when they were starting to film Chandni, they were debating on having Mithun Chakraborty as Lalit, but the supposed real life relationship of Sridevi and Mithun made the Chopras go with Vinod Khanna.
i don't think mithun would have be able to save the movie it was ridiculous retelling of trishul only good thing was the huge star cast
@@homermontana2392 It was probably because Yash Chopra was trying to get his mojo back, so you go with what you know worked. Looking back at the mid to late 80s Anil Kapoor was solid as well and some of those films, his acting has held up. Had the movie been a hit with Mithun, considering how Yash Chopra worked, he would have been loyal to Mithun, as he was to Anil and SRK later on.

Sukumar narrated a very different story in Pushpa's Red sandalwood smuggling backdrop to Mahesh. Mahesh was supposed to play a "Cop" more like a Forest officer in the story narrated by Sukku. Sukku changed the characters in the same backdrop & built another for Allu Arjun. Also SRV was supposed to do "Devil" with Mahesh but MB post failure of few of his experiments like 1:Nenokkadine has completely shut off risky projects, irony is that Mahesh was the biggest risk taker back in the day with new scripts. Also Baahubali is not possible without Prabhas because its not just abt acting but about physically of Gods like Rajamouli quoted, Prabhas embodies that Royalty, righteousness but also brings that relatability which is the very reason Bahubali character became so tangible for masses. 😑

Kamal Hassan and Mamooty were considered for Prakash Raj's role in Iruvar. Prakash Raj did a very good job and it is one of Mani Ratnam's best works , but I wonder how the movie would have turned out with that casting.
