    i literally thought Sharmin was playing a blind girl for few minutes then i realized nah the girl can't act to save her life. No expression, zero dialouge delivery, no command over the dialouge like she was a dead fish. Taha Shah was looking so charming & he captivated the screen everytime he appeared too bad this girl ruined the romance & chemistry that could have been a nice added touch to this show. Tanya Mantikla as Alamzeb would have killed it.

    Arjun Kapoor is such a strange option that bollywood keeps pushing. He has never improved in a decade. He can't emote, can't dance, lacks charisma, doesn't seem very hardworking, doesn't have some distinct looks, the guy barely even cares about his fitness unlike the other nepos. Yet he keeps getting leading man roles and those films keep being flops. The audience has never really connected to him ever and I have never heard anyone say 'I want to really watch that film because Arjun Kapoor is there'. Arjun Kapoor really is a mystery to me. Must be among the worst nepo products bollywood ever churned out because he keeps getting backed by big production houses.

    • @Maadhara
      @Maadhara 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +94

      Stars pull more numbers than a random, so it’s a safe bet. Movies are a business after all. Not to mention, their family might be involved in the production costs, so it’s basically upto them. It’s their wish as they are the ones taking the risk.

    • @Pkourmmabd
      @Pkourmmabd 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +213

      @Maadhara Bollywood can try to pretend like Arjun Kapoor is a star. He has never shown any star qualities and he isn't some box office pull either. He is a guaranteed loss of investment. I mean he has been in industry since what 12 years now? What exactly does he brings to the table? How is he bankable in any way? I'm thinking this has something to do with money laundering.

    • @Maadhara
      @Maadhara 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +28

      @@Pkourmmabd bro, they aren't making movies to please people 😅, they make movies to benefit themselves. Whether people accept or not, that's the way it is. People may hate it, but like I said, they aren't there to prove anything, profit or loss, it's upto them. Yup, the money laundering could also definitely be a reason. So basically expecting them to pick people based on talent is pointless in a industry that's there to make money.

    I really felt irritated when I saw the announcement of Dharma productions Sunny Sanskari ki tulsi kumari, where female lead is Janhvi Kapoor and a supporting role is for Sanya Malhotra. Consider all the required attributes for a female lead and Sanya would outscore Janhvi by miles. And yet not considered for a major role. And then when Karan Johar will be criticized for nepotism then he will just start playing the victim card and would bring all absurd logic in justifying all this.

Im usually against generation bashing (as i feel everyone has their own dunderheads) but its undeniable that Ananya Pandey, Janhvi Kapoor, Suhana Khan and so many more come off as unpolished entertainers who should have waited a year or 2 more at least, in prep or training, before making their debuts. Although some like Pandey and Sonakshi Sinha became better subsequently, we as an audience deserve a better class of moviegoing experience. Why should we compromise on our expectations?

I really miss the the time when outsiders like Priyanka, Kangana, Deepika, Anushka came and totally took over the mainstream commercial movies. the place where caste system and mere business pe baad me beta/ beti baithega differs from film industry is that its a bigger business, and shops that dont run automatically divert the consumer to other shops. but when the head owner of all shops is 5/6 big people they will shove the same products in the shop instead of checking if better products or better salespeople are possible. variation happens when everyone can produce a film, but when talented scriptwriters, big budget funders only support certain people as kinda bankable, then their value increases even if they're not worthy or talented. it creates the illusion that this actor is successful. while talented actors are left aside or work as second leads to worthless trashy actors.

    Only thing that ruined it was Alamzeb's performance. Also Richa Chaddha's expression of blushing were so artificial... May be because the relationship of her character was artificial.

    Wakima gabi could have played Alamzeb or any other role in heeramandi.. how expressive her eyes are uff.. i hope actors with non filmy backgrounds get more opportunities and all these nepo kids just get boycotted in near future.. bollywood is doomed otherwise

    If a person is talented then even nepotism is not a problem. But the problem is that these opportunities are given to non talented and non serious nepo kids. This is killing the Hindi film industry which we grew up watching and were so proud of.

    Bollywood's brand has egregiously declined since the nepotism system took over.. We can consider ourselves lucky to witness the golden era spearheaded by amazing actors like SRK, Akshay,Ayushman, Priyanka, Bipasha and more.. It's getting depressing and frustrating witnessing such catastrophic performances...

    Tamil and Malyalam movie nepotism makes sness they do get chances but if their movies fail twice or thrice in a row (they are done for )
    Look at fahad in his first innings (he had 2 failed movies ) and was cast out for seven years but came back with a second innings that he made too much impact ,we are lucky to see this second innings 😍 especially in mollywood we are lucky we have some nepotism

      This is very important and I am glad you noticed it. The critics themselves do not have any consistency! Sometimes they may praise a great Anurag Kashyap or Sriram Raghavan movie and allot it 3 stars and then they may like a Rohit Shetty movie in which Tata or Toyota SUV's keep somersaulting 100 time and give it a 4 star rating. Essentially praising a totally wooden and expressionless lead pair! I mean, are you movie critics or what? You are the ones who need to have knowledge of the craft and help us, the audience, keep some standards in our minds!

  • @samarth900
    @samarth900 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I believe problem is not with creators problem is marketability of an actor or actress. Unknown actor/actress are not simply marketable (according to producers). Having known family connection actor/actress can help you market a movie or series pretty effectively. One starkid can promote another starkids movie/show and that creates word around social media. If it’s not a box office number then producers will show numbers of social media reach to investors in order to get backing for next project until one day actor/actress will get box office return or desired ott watching and cycle will continue. Having social media reach helps them with brand endorsements so they bring back production money before the release. As long as people following celebrities, watching their content, sharing their content, interacting with their content and watching their fims/series it’ll keep on happening.

      True! Great movies are there but the fact is not many like heavy movies made by Kashyap or Raghavan! Most prefer to go to the multiplex for weekend entertainment with popcorn and watching something that has a Kapoor/Johar/Bhansali label on it, irrespective of talent! So who are we blaming? We have been traditionally always wanting the fluffy stuff coming out of Chopra/Kapoor stables! Even many years ago, who wanted to watch Shyam Benegal, who went for a Ketan Mehta movie? So who are we blaming now? Popcorn and fluff is what we always wanted to pass the time on a weekend!!

    If the future of INDIAN CINEMA is Janvi, sara, ananya, suhana and specially shanaya then oh my god this is so sad! Bollywood is going to and should have a downfall if these people are going to be handed the reign of Indian Cinema.
    It’s diabolical that ananya gives one hit with mediocre acting and she’s praised so much for it.
    Yes the Producers are to be blamed for this but the biggest culprit is still the Indian Audience who loves to see these so called star kids. Stop buying tickets to their films, stop trending them on Netflix and slowly but surely things will change(well hopefully)🤞🏽

    The 1 who comes from a privileged family knows that he or she will get chances because of there families contacts
    Its only be because there parents can call any director,producer, production house and inform that my child needs work and they get chance after chance
    Even roshan was given a chance by his father and his father built such a platform that he roshan was chosen over the khans and the people wait for his work
    Even kumar made a place for himself but as he does not give his 110% in a movie the people have now rejected him .
    The craft itself makes you a superstar not the backing of your family
    Privilege will get you more and more work
    But you will never enjoy the love the affection thay great craftsman will get
