This iconic #bollywood movie is one of the few tales from the 90s that has aged brilliantly and sheds light on socio political topics that still consume our news channels and politics. Aamir was on par with Naseeruddin shah in the climax scene. His intensity and dialogue delivery was on point thought out the climax.
    Even in 90’s, this guy has given some great performances like Sarfarosh, Ghulaam and Rangeela. Sadly, he didn’t win Filmfare for any of these performances.

      @i.escorpiius3570 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      Filmfare is bogus anyways now but the sad thing is even I don't think I would have chosen Aamir for Sarfarosh in the year that Sanjay Dutt won for Vaastav.
      The snub for Ghulam was so apparent and sad to see, but then again, I think Raja Hindustani is an overhyped movie where Aamir won (imo slightly undeservingly)
      Rangeela vs DDLJ at the Filmfare was such a hard battle. I think both movies are iconic in their own right in all departments. I still feel Urmila deserved it more than Kajol but I also feel Amrish Puri and Jatin-Lalit deserved it more than Jackie Shroff and AR Rahman. I'm torn between SRK and Aamir. Both Munna and Raj have such different but such infectious charm to them.
      I think actors like Aamir, Salman, Ajay understood the bias of Filmfare way before it got apparent but also way before it actually became unfair and worse. Back then, some of the winners were hard to call imo.

    • @omaratbayee6839

    • @deveshkumar7844
      @deveshkumar7844 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@i.escorpiius3570 Reason is quite clear, those days Filmfare mostly used to given actors from most popular movies in that specific year. In 1995, Srk won for DDLJ over Rangeela as DDLJ obviously was way more popular than any other film. Same happened in 1998 as well, Srk again won it for KKHH as it was more hyped and popular as compared to Ghulaam which was made on a moderate budget. Otherwise if only performances were only criterion, he could have been won
      I genuinely feel, Aamir could have been given it for Jo jeeta wahi Sikander in 1992 instead of Anil Kapoor for Beta, same he could have won for Ghajini over Hrithik’s Jodha Akbar and for 3 idiots over Amitabh Bachchan for paa in 2009.

    One wonder how well informed and creative Aamir Khan was all at the age of may be 33-34. In the pre internet era of 1995-2000, to come up with movies as diverse as Rangeela, Ghulam, 1947 the Earth,Sarfarosh and mixing it well with the likes of Raja Hindustani, Ishq, Mela, Mann at the same time...the only Man who was doing the balancing act pretty well...when his peers were only starring in movies of the same genre by same set of makers....the kuch kuch, dil dil, pyar pyar, khiladi wiladi, no.1 no.1 types. Post 2000 Aamir is a different league..Lagaan came and things changed for better for ever.

    The dialogue with Mukesh Rishi is one of the best dialogues ever being written in hindi cinema and I believe aamir's interview at 3:20 with NDTV can be his answer to public who questions his patriotism towards the country. Sadly he is being boycotted for this reason .I can never watch any movie twice no matter how good it is , there are very very few movies which compels me to watch them again and Sarfarosh is definitely one of them .

    The movie worked because it was grounded in appearance and had a well written story. Whereas, today's Bollywood thriller movies are big budget, shot in foreign location with extravagant plot but lack any substance and thats why they are forgettable.
    I still rewatch, Sarfarosh from time to time because of its practical plot and its more realistic nature. It is truly a well made movie and way beyond its time.

    I am so happy you have made this video. I am a pirate of sorts, if you get what I mean. But I bought the original VCR of this and got it converted to pay homage to this beauty. I am telling you none of the blockbusters can touch this. The way Ajay is never shown as the big cop but, a "baccha" and his actual ways of working in the force is something I think no one can replicate. Salim is the voice of all the minorities. The songs and the cinematography. I always watch it. Probably have watched it 500 times. And still adore it. Thanks for making this. Now people will watch this again. And rediscover the best.
