Isn't removing watermarks from an image an unethical or even illegal use of someone's work? I've seen several programs that do this and think if I used someone's image to generate income or for any reason, it would be a lawsuit waiting to happen. There are plenty of free images out there to use without watermarks. Am I missing something here?
There would be no changes because the most important thing is to have some kind of strategy (mine is using a bit of Famester), and to give people the content they want to see. It's always going to be like that, just like people buy products/services from companies that they need and want in their life. That's how life works in general, we tend to like something we desire and we don't have in our life.

Yes I am one of the worried ones. Unfortunately, I get discouraged when wanting to start a faceless TH-cam channel. Most people say it is ok using a particular strategy but I have heard one or two negative stories. I hope I am not worrying any one.
I think it will be ok and don't worry too much 🙂 I think it's similar to how movies have a disclaimer saying something along the lines of "all the characters/events are fictional" so as not to confuse an audience and to protect the creators of the movie. I could be wrong but it's the overall picture I'm getting. The label doesn't mean bad it just seems to be necessary at this time for TH-cam to utilize perhaps? The newness of it might just need some catching up for people and myself included because I could be reading it all wrong too 🙃
Thats quite some statement to say people ignoring AI will be left behind. Although I use AI for scripting and voiceovers, I still believe firmly that authenticity is perhaps more important now than ever before.
AI Assistants and AI productivity tools multiply time. All else being equal … the creative professional using AI will have a speed advantage. How could the creative professional that isn’t using AI keep up? You could walk to your destination or buy a plane ticket and fly.

When Sean refers to "...the creative professional using AI will have a speed advantage", as I understand it, he's talking about the labor/tools part of the process, which is different than ideating, polishing, thinking of thumbnails, etc. If I have an idea for a animated video, and I ideate the whole concept, decide what characters, scenery, type of music, etc. that I want to have, but a tool auto transcribes, creates captions, or removes silences and umms & ahhs for me, that hasn't diminished my creativity at all. That's different than someone who's going to use AI tools to intentionally be lazy about content creation and just schlock out some garbage. There will always be those people, just as there were before generative AI tools were publicly available.

I'm already using AI in my visual effect work flow such as creating digital motion backgrounds. Soon, I won't have to spend a lot of money for 3D models. I can just type in what I want and it will generate it for me.

@@lbrowning2543 actually robots have been deciding who gets paid on what for healthcare for a couple of years now based on algorithms. Two people in the same company one can get approved and one can get disapproved for a medication. I know I've experienced it. The higher your title, the more likely to get approved. Also/people who have PPO's and it says that it's like a Blue Cross PPO… There's a good chance someone in your company who swipes a time card in your company is the one deciding those things, and if they like you, or don't like you can be the deciding factor of whether or not you approved again, I work in healthcare, I've seen it happen our own healthcare system manages our own PPO, and we have our own employees who do not have masters degree by the way they are just hired off the street deciding whether or not someone gets approved for a medication or service.
I dont use AI. Even more, when a channel is a robovoice documentary, I clock off. If you cant pronounce Ford Mustang or Camaro right. Im out. Im tired and feels like Im getting duped.
I wish I could check a box and see NO AI channels. There are so many of these channels where you can tell the entire script is made by AI because the ideas frequently loop and it's just someone saying the same 3 things 26 different ways and a bunch of clip art.. And they just spam these videos out 3 a day. Or they give out shit dietary advice and have a fake woman in the background telling everyone that beets are dangerous..
I'm not against AI and use it quite a bit myself, but I really hope that one day TH-cam will auto-flag all videos that use AI in any form with a non-obtrusive (but visible) stat somewhere that just shows 'this video likely uses AI' or at least put it into the stats for nerds information screen with more detailed info like image/visual content AI checking and music/sound/voice separately checked. There's an absolute ton of channels out there right now making money and fooling people with extreme low-effort videos, while the people putting in the real effort struggle and don't get the respect they deserve.
It's because most people are stupid! AI content makes mistake that real content doesn't. AI photo can't use simple words. It doesn't understand it. So it spots out anything. AI voice make simple mistakes as well.

What is allowed? - use of ai for content ideas - use of ai for content research - use of ai for video title generation - use of ai for thumbnail generation (not Clickbait or get community guidelines strike) - use of ai to make your script professional or fix grammatical or spelling mistakes - upscaling or enchacing and human made image or video which should be real - ai voiceover allowed only if doesn't sound robotic or poor script and should only licensed voices like elevan labs or any other professional softwares (if you do content like gaming presidents then must disclose or get fcked by yt) Inshort minor stuff is ok but it should be unique not copied like videos script
I can totally see the day when AI is pillaging footage from other TH-cam videos and blending them together. So everything you carefully made yourself over years gets used by AI.
I don't get this push for AI. People aren't going to want to watch crap that was generated in 2 seconds. Think about it. If an AI can generate scripts, do the visuals, even provide the voice over, then where does the human creativity come into play? Because to me, this has all the creativity of typing something into Google and seeing what comes up. I think it's very likely that within 5-10 years, most people will grow tired of looking at photos and videos online not knowing if they can trust what they're seeing and will simply begin spending much more time offline. Going to see music events live. Visiting actual art museums and theatres. And spending more time with their actual loved ones who they know are real and there for them. I think soon we will see academic courses in "AI Prompting." the more research a user puts in the content of the AI video like history, background theme, human emotions, and scripts the more realistic AI video will be with a unique feel

your voice turned out MUCH clearer and natural than mine did. Mine was about 11 minutes of audio using a professional yeti microphone. It kept putting in pauses until I sounded like Chandler on "Friends." Anxious for cloning technology to rapidly improve.
Good. We should ban the lawless chaos of AI-generated content and label it as fake, ban most content. Steeling and unethically generating music. All of this is garbage and it should go away with consequences to the people who develop, research and unleash these technologies. Technology used to isolate, modify vocals or instruments from music, and content used to output such content should be met with gargantuan life-destroying fines and fees with potential jail time. AI should not be allowed to detect voices, human faces for recognition, manipulation or deepfakes and there must be serious consequences for this technology; AI is a cancer to society and that is a fact.
I noticed that it mostly puts disclaimers on VISUAL content, which I wholeheartedly support... But what about the audio/music medium? I think AI generated music should also require disclaimers. A lot of AI generated songs are posted with "leaked new song" in the title. Yes, I am aware of click bait, but the less informed can be duped and eventually led to depression. Personally, music should have a small (AI) tag at the end of the titles.

I don't support this, like many youtubers who do countless hours just on research such as Johnny Harris, who will on average produce a vid 3-4 times a month where as people using GenAI upload a vid on AVG EVERY 12 hours, this will destroy youtube. Even as we speak if I want to view creative, meaningful and usefull content I will use other streaming platforms. So expect youtube then to become bland and boring, youtube is in freefall mode. I am not a content creator, more on the analytics and OSINT side of things so I can clearly see the pattern.

Seems to me, just use AI to create the best value you can, and just check yes. No reason to hide you used AI, or that parts are synthetically generated. Who cares, as long as the video provided value to the audience.
Correction: Are these kind of videos monetizable? Yes, you can upload the video and collect ad revenue, but here's the kicker: SO CAN ANYONE ELSE, because it's uncopyrightable! The US supreme court has ruled that only art generated by a human being can be copyrighted! Art generated by monkeys or A.I. can't. Therefore your video is in the public domain, the instant it is generated. Anyone can use it and try to make money from it, as they see fit. A million+ people can upload the video, and try to make money from it.
YT needs to ban the absolute dog poop AI content farm channels that just pollute everyone suggestions with banal boring AI commentary over someone fixing a roof or something equally boring. You have scroll past so much of this garbage now, shorts is unusable because of it. It will turn people off pretty quickly
I've seen too many Elon Musk and Joe Rogan TH-cam videos and I think that a lot of those are AI generated. I also think that this videos are not the actual thoughts of the speakers. If what is presented in these videos is not the same as the person it is presented then these videos and the channel needs to be banned. I also think there must be a more thorough process of getting a TH-cam channel and not simply just linked to a gmail account.
If you use a program like invideo AI or descript that has an AI generated voiceover using your voice, do you have to check off that it has AI generated content in TH-cam? Do you have to do this if it’s just a voiceover that’s narrating an educational video or only if it’s making something that didn’t happen appear that it actually happened?
Not a fan of A.I. generated content. A lot of times the scripts are meandering and the facts and images included unrelated or flat out wrong. Its a good way to spread false information, especially when the one involved in the creation is not well... involved in the creation. And if all they are concerned with is throwing out a vid to monetize do you really think they care about how correct the content is?
I tried Ai to make music and 4 out of 10 music are really bad. However some music are turns out to be not bad at all. Not gonna lie that's quite an experience I got there.

The video has gotten decent but the voices are still poor imho although there has been a ridiculous uptick of people saying nearly everything is AI generated.

i just made a A.I video voice for my video its just a gaming video because i got a bad stammer i cant talk on youtube videos, is this ok for youtube
your voice turned out MUCH clearer and natural than mine did. Mine was about 11 minutes of audio using a professional yeti microphone. It kept putting in pauses until I sounded like Chandler on "Friends." Anxious for cloning technology to rapidly improve.
I uploaded a full 15 minutes of voice and the results were a lot better.

Good. We should ban the lawless chaos of AI-generated content and label it as fake, ban most content. Steeling and unethically generating music. All of this is garbage and it should go away with consequences to the people who develop, research and unleash these technologies. Technology used to isolate, modify vocals or instruments from music, and content used to output such content should be met with gargantuan life-destroying fines and fees with potential jail time. AI should not be allowed to detect voices, human faces for recognition, manipulation or deepfakes and there must be serious consequences for this technology; AI is a cancer to society and that is a fact.
I noticed that it mostly puts disclaimers on VISUAL content, which I wholeheartedly support... But what about the audio/music medium? I think AI generated music should also require disclaimers. A lot of AI generated songs are posted with "leaked new song" in the title. Yes, I am aware of click bait, but the less informed can be duped and eventually led to depression. Personally, music should have a small (AI) tag at the end of the titles.

After watching this video, I realized I mistakenly selected 'Yes' for the 'Altered content' declaration, when I should have selected 'No.' I thought I needed to declare the AI-generated image used in the thumbnail since it's not real, but it only serves to depict the idea of the video without misleading or altering the actual content.
Hey, if I upload news clips completely made by Invideo AI - so basically the website makes the whole thing for me - and then I disclose that's it's AI in the video description by checking the AI box - can I still get those kinds of videos monetized or not?

I don't support this, like many youtubers who do countless hours just on research such as Johnny Harris, who will on average produce a vid 3-4 times a month where as people using GenAI upload a vid on AVG EVERY 12 hours, this will destroy youtube. Even as we speak if I want to view creative, meaningful and usefull content I will use other streaming platforms. So expect youtube then to become bland and boring, youtube is in freefall mode.
I am not a content creator, more on the analytics and OSINT side of things so I can clearly see the pattern.

Seems to me, just use AI to create the best value you can, and just check yes. No reason to hide you used AI, or that parts are synthetically generated. Who cares, as long as the video provided value to the audience.
Correction: Are these kind of videos monetizable? Yes, you can upload the video and collect ad revenue, but here's the kicker: SO CAN ANYONE ELSE, because it's uncopyrightable!
The US supreme court has ruled that only art generated by a human being can be copyrighted! Art generated by monkeys or A.I. can't. Therefore your video is in the public domain, the instant it is generated. Anyone can use it and try to make money from it, as they see fit. A million+ people can upload the video, and try to make money from it.
YT needs to ban the absolute dog poop AI content farm channels that just pollute everyone suggestions with banal boring AI commentary over someone fixing a roof or something equally boring. You have scroll past so much of this garbage now, shorts is unusable because of it. It will turn people off pretty quickly

I've seen too many Elon Musk and Joe Rogan TH-cam videos and I think that a lot of those are AI generated. I also think that this videos are not the actual thoughts of the speakers. If what is presented in these videos is not the same as the person it is presented then these videos and the channel needs to be banned. I also think there must be a more thorough process of getting a TH-cam channel and not simply just linked to a gmail account.

If you use a program like invideo AI or descript that has an AI generated voiceover using your voice, do you have to check off that it has AI generated content in TH-cam? Do you have to do this if it’s just a voiceover that’s narrating an educational video or only if it’s making something that didn’t happen appear that it actually happened?
Not a fan of A.I. generated content. A lot of times the scripts are meandering and the facts and images included unrelated or flat out wrong. Its a good way to spread false information, especially when the one involved in the creation is not well... involved in the creation. And if all they are concerned with is throwing out a vid to monetize do you really think they care about how correct the content is?

Most AI-based channels I've seen are simply content farms with low value offerings.
The video has gotten decent but the voices are still poor imho although there has been a ridiculous uptick of people saying nearly everything is AI generated.
