+Frankie You mean the oldest...Back in the 90s, OK but nowadays Matt does the job much better, and he also sprinkles some fun with it. And this new guy isn't bad either.
I agree, I'm downgrading from a ford mustang and need an suv for my 3 daughters so this thing looks amazing for an suv, beautiful front end, don't care about mpg, was averaging 35mpg in my mustang ecoboost to work and back, so guaranteed if i get this nice looking tucson i get more mpg, either that or get the diesels they have about 60mpg 👍
I have the 1.7se diesel and it's got great features including reversing sensors and a solid fabric interior (matt plastics rather than shiny cheap looking fingerprint magnets in the nissan'). Also worth noting certain professions get a substantial discount off new with the hyundai affinity scheme, around 2.5k off base models. I'm averaging 40-45mpg which isn't up there with nissan diesel engine but the mpg is increasing with mileage from new. not sure if it is covered in the review but the front 'eyebrow' sidelights are immense.
Still wonder why manufacturers dont just fit a Sat Nav Mount area so people can use their own preferred updatable/ replacable satnav, some may want a better quality Garmin device. Also change from bulky 12V cigar to 5V USB connections or standardise on a universal 5V and 12V connection system. Great review Ginny
The car is surprisingly beautiful! Where is James the Goth? No just kidding, great review and great to see you review cars again! I do have one suggestion: when you specify the engines it would be great if you also could include a torque / horse power figure or 0-60 for example. Thanks very much! :D
At last, the long-waited review on Tucson. I test drove this car for about half hour and I was really impressed by its refinement, space, quality and how well composed it was. Only downside was the 155bhp diesel engine which was a bit slow on acceleration. My only question is why they assigned the interior design to the Americans instead of letting Schreyer finish the job.
This may seem late but I have found this a fantastic option as a used car, the one I just purchased had only 30k on it 2017 with the nav pack and I am mroe than impressed coming from a Renault, the quality is far above renault.
@@sunitkaul Yes, one of the best cars we have ever had. Fantastic airport car for luggage, huge boot. We’ve used it for everything from bikes to Paddleboard’s. Short and long trips it’s been fantastic. Heated seats are some of the best out there, they are quick and go high on the chair. It runs very well and it still looks good.
High-un-die? We pronounce it Hun-day here in the US (rhymes with Sunday) and is actually closer to the correct Korean pronunciation which is He-on-deh. Hyundai (hun-day) have outdone themselves with the new Tucson. Very good looking vehicle.
+lostincamelot We'll it's just my opinion. looks are subjective after all and although the Bentley is premium car with a lush interior however the exterior just doesn't do it for me. perhaps if I see it in person I might think differently but from seeing it online...nah, which is why I say the hyundai looks prettier
Hyundai is next to Japanese cars when it comes to reliability. They are better and better every year. When you are sure about the quality, then you offer 5 year warranty.
Just coming to the end of 3 years with an Audi Q3. Pick up a Tucson Premium SE in 2 weeks. Spec of Tucson comes in around £30,000 GBP An Audi Q3 in nearly the same spec £41,000GBP!!!! No brainer
My parents test drove this and I sat in the back and felt really uncomfortable. The rear windows are far too small and made me feel travel sick, something I've never been, on the small journey we made. I also felt it was cheap inside compared to other rivals, so overall I was very disappointed with it.
Several comments on here about the way Hyundai is pronounced here in the UK. You need to know the pronunciation used in this review is the way Hyundai presents itself in the UK (see their UK adverts on youtube). Obviously not correct way to pronounce a Korean name BUT this is the way Hyundai advertises itself in this country.
you do realise, the reason why the back opens so slow, right?! Can you imagine that thing opened instantly, the amount of nose bleeds you get will become quite a lot more.
12 thousands pounds. With high spec panoramic roof and power boot. Is cheap!! In Malaysia this tucson with high spec cost around RM 143k (26k pounds). With no power boot or panoramic roof.
the cockpit looks old from the beginning, too little design, cause there are no alu, pianolack or wood trims, so the style is actually boring and naked, which does not fit the stylish outfit at all.
Why do so many cars have such huge front grills now. Most of it is blanked off behind so it isn't that big for a reason just a over styling. Also lay off the acres of chrome.
After analysing this car specs here's my criticism , it weights like a Bus . I mean most people don't care about 0- 60mph , I don't care either , but when the 0-60 mph times are 14 Sec , its bad , it mean's this car wouldn't be able to Keep up with Vauxhall corsa with a 1.2cc engine , if you Pick the £30 Road tax version the sport version ( 2.0 crdi 185hp ) is barely able to Keep up with 1.6dci 130 on the Kadjar/Quashcai . Why weight is a Issue for me , It affects , acceleration , Breaking , fuel consumption & reliability by putting additional strain on Clutches and gearbox's
i have Tucson 1.7 crdi premium and real 0 to 60 (try few times) just over 11 second, however if you search on you tube "Hyundai tucson 1.7 crdi" guy with white tucson manage 0-60 well under 11 second.
You will never ever in your life floor a daily car and care about 0-60times ( non petrolheads who just drive for getting point a to b ) , how old are you?
SupraJDM "You will never care about 0-60 times" says the person with a tuned Supra doing burnouts and 1000hp Skylines on his Google + profile ??? . 14 sec from 0- 60 mph is worse than a Transit Van most people like me , don't want racing cars however when we go on family trips , we want a car we can overtake safely and enter motorways , without putting others road users at risk . 14 sec while empty , Imagine with a full fuel tank 5 people and luggage's , how long would it take to reach motorway speeds of 70 mph ???
How/why has it taken Car Buyer this long to do this review? Even the reg plate is a 15! There is a segment about prem price being 12k more but she never stated the base price? And MPG being relatively bad on the 2litre D model but never said if that motorway mileage, useful buying information for us potential customers.
Ginny has been doing car reviews for 20 years, she was smoking hot, still looking good btw. What surprised me is that she always has always been very articulated. Maybe that's the brand pronunciation from another country, brands are pronounced differently from country to country. Not sure why some were so hard on her, probably envious.
Hooray!! An excellent, professional and informative review. THANK YOU Carbuyer for listening to the comments from your viewers!
The best presenter carbuyer have ever had.
+Frankie Who payed you to say this mate?
+matuskuchalik your mom
totally agree! she have improved so much over the years
Get out
+Frankie You mean the oldest...Back in the 90s, OK but nowadays Matt does the job much better, and he also sprinkles some fun with it. And this new guy isn't bad either.
It looks stunnig every time I see it on the road
Your profile picture is a Pagani Huayra and you think a Hyundai looks good enough to literally stun you when you lay your eyes upon it? Fucking weirdo
Christopher O'Grady Lol I dont see Huayra very often in this looks stunnig for a SUV
5:46.... that side profile is pretty sweet!...... they have got the styling spot on with this....Hyundai have come on a long way!!
SHES BACK! Thank god!
She isn't it's pre-recorded look at the license plates it's from the first half of 2015
+Chatta290 or they were just given a car registered in the first half of 2015
+Chatta290 you do realise they don't always get fully new cars to review?
When I first saw that car on a mauritian road, I fell in love with it !
honestly fantastic review. She is one of the best
wtf is she saying "high-und-die"? it's hyundai......"heun-die"....jesus
@@fu1644 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's funny how everyone hated her at start but when mat n rebecca left leaving that other guy everyone loves her now lol
+Mr Moses Exactly
+Scott Webb lol
+Firemarioflower True, Rebecca was the best.
+Firemarioflower Yeah and now both of em are gone which is sad :(

Such a pleasure to listen to her after videos of that person...
Oh Ginny, you're back! Don't go away ever again! No holidays, not even when you're ill! We love you! Best Car Buyer reviewer ever!
I've seen some of them on the road and it's true this one looks pretty and perfect size, not too big not too small...
Good to see you back presenting! so much easier to understand than the new guy. please please do more videos. JB please stick to writing. thank you.
I picked up a black Premium on Thursday, so far I'm very impressed.
It's BETTER LOOKING THAN THE KIA. I'LL TELL YOU THAT

One of the best looking cars around

Hyundai surprised me. They made this time very good car in mine opinion. Nice design, nice interior, good engine...

by far one of the best looking cars now avalaible
My parents bought one, was not a fan at all but when we got it i fell in love within 5 minuts!
What model did you get?
+James Gordon 1.6, but we put it on lpg.
+animalcopWOT Ah ok, but did you get S, SE, SE Nav trim?
+James Gordon And if you got the trim with Sat Nav, would you say that the built in navigation is worth it?
+James Gordon Because my parents are interested in buying the Tucson
Beautiful car! hyundai is really stepping up the game.
+iron stark better than german trouble cars that break down every 6 months.
Ginny, you have improved so much! One of the best presented reviews :) (All be it not my fave car)
This may seem late but I have found this a fantastic option as a used car, the one I just purchased had only 30k on it 2017 with the nav pack and I am mroe than impressed coming from a Renault, the quality is far above renault.
I agree had a Renault Kadjar but the Hyundai is far better build quality
Would you still recommend the car now that you've spent more time with it?
@@sunitkaul Yes, one of the best cars we have ever had. Fantastic airport car for luggage, huge boot. We’ve used it for everything from bikes to Paddleboard’s. Why is the 4 wheel drive version slightly smaller ??
One quesstion though. Does this car drive as well on the 19-inch wheels as on the 17?
2:13 - why does the reversing camera show the sky?
The boot was open (very late response, i know 😅)
In your closing commentsnit looks like your head was touchingnthe roof. The pano twkes up head room.
How do you get the satnav working
The best car buyer Ever.
I´ve got a Tucson 2.0 crdi. Great car! Recomanded!

Most of Europe calls it High-un-die. Americans say "nitch" instead of niche though, which is just terrible.

Lol, that's true most folks here pronounce "Niche" wrong.
100 times better looking than the bentley bentayga
Have you gone mad???

R.I.P. Matt. She is the presenter to watch now.
you do know that mat has gone to another channel, don't you?
+James Gordon which one ?
+James Gordon He's gone to carwow
+James Gordon so what? they get fame in one place then betray it by going elsewhere.
I don't think Ginny is back, this is pre recorded just like Mats videos were and slowly uploaded to ease the presenters out.
I like this car, it is more pretty like Sportage. And welcome back Ginny👍😀.
Funny isn't back this is pre-recorded the 15 plate is the first half of 2015
How is the AC quality?
I've never been a fan of Hyundai, but this one actually looks good.

Its size is between x1 and x3
Great Review !!!

Firemarioflower You're wrong there. I have two daughters, my life is nowhere near over. Having kids is the greatest thing ever.
Firemarioflower My wife might have something to say about it too!
Firemarioflower Get a life. It's all in jest, now you're just trolling.
Does uk have Hyundai creta?
+ketan bafna Yes we do, it's named the Hyundai 'ix25' in here, and not 'Creta' - but identical in all other respects.
Great presenter, great voice.
can you test the peugeot 508

how they always still advise again automatics blows my mind 🤷♂
The most handsome car ever made for budding family😙
it's the most depressing thing a Dad could ever own, it's nothing more then a school run bus, no dad would be proud to call this his car.
