  • Looking for the cheapest room to stay in on your Las Vegas vacation? Many people like to save money on vacation to get the best bang for their buck. However, there can be a point where being cheap can go too far, particularly when it comes to how you choose what hotel or motel you will be staying at. This video is about some of the worst reviewed hotels and motels on the Las Vegas strip. Many of these places have bad reviews for things like dirty rooms, hair in the shower, stains on the carpet, bed bugs, cockroaches, terrible customer service, etc. Aside from possibly having roaches sleeping with you at night, some people mention that they feel the places are more dangerous to stay at than other properties, making them feel unsafe about the level of crime.
Las Vegas does have some of the best hotels in the world. World class rooms, suites, spas, pools, shopping, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, strip clubs, shows, free things to do, hiking Red Rock, Mount Charleston, Hoover Dam, and the list goes on. Although opinions do vary, some places are generally considered better to stay at than others.

Hey !!!! I use to travel for a living as a portrait photographer doing dept stores. My companies gave me a perdium for lodging and food. My philosophy was to sleep cheap and eat good . I now work as a security patrol officer. There's a motel 6 in ft worth that I've been run off from 3 times. The clerks were fronting rooms to drug dealers under phoney names. They got mad at me because I was running off all their customers. Not all management is like that . Most motels back me up . But back when I was traveling I never saw any correlation between quality and price . Some of the cheapest motels I stayed at were the nicest. And some of the most expensive motel's were the worst. The price of the motel is determined by 3 things LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.

Went to hang clothes...no hangers. Desk could only locate 2. Went for ice...found plumbing connections where the machine used to be. Tried to shower...no shower head. Desk had none. They had an awesome free full breakfast, so we went to eat and the manager came to us as we ate and let us know that they will be emptying the building to wire and detonate,, to build a brand new hotel and stuff there. He gave us free bathrobes and a whole bunch of stuff because obviously we were the ONLY people who had no idea.

Jacob, as a Las Vegas local, thank you for exposing these disgusting, filthy properties which should have their certificate of occupancy permits revoked by the city. That would render them unable to generate revenue, making fire sales the only option.
The major strip resorts should demand the city take action against these worthless properties. They are a black eye for Las Vegas and have no business operating within the Las Vegas Strip Corridor.

Many coworkers and friends have asked me to suggest things to do or see when they go to Vegas for a vacation. I tell all of them to sign up for the players card program at whatever casino they walk into and play a few dollars in the slots. They will send you offers for comp rooms here and there, most of which still expect you to pay a resort fee so still gonna run average $40 a night, but it still works better than staying at the Motel Sketchy. For example, I have played very little at the Venetian...don't even think lost $100 in the slots there last year...and I get offers all the time for 3 free nights. Now I've been a Diamond player with Caesars for the last 3-4 years and haven't directly paid for a room out there in some time lol. But yeah, just sign up for the players card, put a few dollars in a slot machine, and you'll get room offers for somewhere that doesn't come with bed bugs or bodily fluids.

So, being a decent person, I decided to choose the limited cleaning room attendant option. Don't do it unless you really enjoy your privacy. Every personal cleaning item including towels, soup and toilet paper were NOT Well Managed for more than 1 day even though the reservations were made in advance for two individuals. When I requested more soap and shampoo, they sent it to us in a huge plastic bag. No effort taken at all to set them up. The extra toilet paper was left next to the plastic too. No effort taken at all by cleaning staff. The toilet paper was the worst/Something you would purchase from a Walmart at 1 U.S Dollar/The kind that irritates you in places you don't appreciate/Not even Angel Soft quality. On a positive note, I do like the South Point and have stayed there every time for TAT and USBC Bowling Tournaments. I hope last year's stay was just a Fluke. Even after last year's stay, I would still rate the South Point at 4 Stars. If you don't like long Buffet Lines there are a lot very pleasant restaurants in the area. Even McDonalds, Seven Elevens, Black Bear Diners (amazing menu and awesome tasting food), Del Taco too. Although for me, the smoothies in the South Point are a must for my hunger cravings.
