Here's Hot Head Bop from Donkey Kong Country 2! I usually don't include ambient-type noises in my recordings, but in this case I think the bubble noises were intended to be a part of the composition, so I decided to give 'em a go.
Also, I just noticed a few weeks ago that I surpassed 30,000 subscribers! So thank you all for your support! Your other stuff is brilliant, but I always end up coming back here. There's something you've captured so perfectly here.
It's not just in the instruments and the recreation of ambient sounds, but the mix itself. The levels, the left-right channel mixing, the reverb and echo effects.
This is like the musical equivalent of when people make those drawings that look like photos, and it astounds me.
Same, man. This isn't even my favorite track from the game (that's always been Mining Melancholy), but this is the video I keep coming back to. It's special.

The way you manage to replicate the environmental noises in the David Wise covers is quite astonishing, really. It delights me to see such care and effort into these tracks.

I just noticed this and had to comment. He makes the bubbles "pop" in exactly the same way that the original does.
Even in the stickerbrush symphony, he dials in the high pitch "knob" (I dont know what effect its actually called) in EXACTLY the same way the game did.
Needless to say, i'm beyond impressed with the attention to detail

Mas este cara é o criador das músicas do DKC2 e esta é a música na íntegra, antes de passar para o cartucho de 16 Bits, onde acaba perdendo um pouco de qualidade.

My God, I am absolutely awe-struck. This is the first time I've heard this cover and I am absolutely speach-less. I've listened to the DKC 1 & 2 OST's for literally decades at this point in my life., and this brought tears to my eyes; taking me back to when I was a child playing DKC with my grandmother.
Thank you sir, for giving me that peaceful time in my life back to me once again.

I've listened to many tracks from OCRemix and they don't even come close to the level of care & effort put into this track. I think you're referring to the cajon that he uses for the snare sound. The cajon is more than just a board. It's basically a portable drum kit in a box you sit on.
