They did everything well till 3/4 in both battles against W.Whumsars, some kind of rushing occurred after that. Could not believe how they lose. Felt like my hometown football team lose two in a row.
Obsessing over Archers running out of ammo, misses the Macedon General charge in, get surrounded, and die.

I feel like with the strat that Wolf Gang took, they would have needed a couple units of cav. That way you can faint them with infantry once side without have to push, just to force the defenders to spread out, then move the cav to another point of entry attacking the archers in the rear and the main capture point, causing chaos behind the defender's lines.
The Gorilla boys have plot armor at the moment. But can the Chickens work their way up the pecking order to get a chance to take the plot armor? Find out on the next exciting episode of TWL.

Both attacking generals sent in to die, I know they were desperate but still, had so many units outside the walls still
Really liked the no fog of war in the replay.
Iirc scorpions have the ability to area fire, like other artillery, where they can target an area on the ground instead of having to target a specific unit. This can be amazing in siege battles where there are bottle necks and clumped units.
I feel they didn't know what to do at the end. Once they sent that flanking move it should have been pressure everywhere or you're just sending them to die.

Why Wolfgang suicided both of their generals I will never understand. I really hope they win next match, though. It would be great if Crimson Chickens could get into the playoffs.

@Apollo I'm not positive but I think if a unit does not have direct Los on a target, they do take an accuracy penalty. Some1 would have to look at the game files to be sure, but I'm pretty sure it's a thing in certain TW games.

I don't think it's necessarily a waste for archers to hit units like hillman. Their low armor and shield effectiveness means you get more kills per arrow, it reduces their ability to throw javs, and just reduces the enemies numbers in general. Obviously it's better to use that ammo on high value targets, but I'd take kills where I can get them. If a hillman has their back exposed especially I'd be on it.

Everyone is going wide with their formations when there is no need for that. Are compact formations some kind of tech only the Gorilla Boiis have figured out?

Like if thry W.H. have 10 points at the end, and the last battle is between 2 teams with like 5 & 8 point, you can both just take factions that will bring you to 11, and one of you is bound to steal 2nd place.
I loved Shogun 2. I need someone to help me understand the units for Rome 2. I would love to get into Rome 2 and maybe get into this kinda tourneys in the future.

All these tournament battles seem to be about javelin and skirmisher fire. I understand the tactical reasons, but I think the standard battles are more fun to watch when there's more charging, less chess maneuvers. The Thureos Spears suddenly seem OP in this scenario. Be great to watch a battle without them! I've put off playing multiplayer because my micromanaging skills are terrible - watching these high level players makes me even less willing to try! Props to them all though, they're still good battles to watch and I've watched all of them so far .
Hey just so you know, a u-tuber named JoeOnit Productions is covering a land battle tournament.
@@gryphon0468 I know of Joe, watched a few of his videos. He takes things a bit more serious than Apollo but at least he doesn't (sub)consciously copy Apollo's style. Some of these other guys have clearly watched too many of his vids.
I think that the Chrimson Chickens shoul've gone low points defence last time. They would've won and might gain 2 points or one even. Every point MATTERS!😊
