- Here's the NEW WLtoys 144002, is it as good as the WLtoys 144001? I speed run it, Bash it at a Skate park, Speed Run it on 3s... oh, and turn it in to a Squatted Truck (Whistlin Diesel would love it)

Since we all have decent oil shocks on all the budgets now. Let's all get on these company's asses to give us some spur and pinion mesh adjustment! I mean then their speed claims would be true...
I think every buget rc needs to pass a top speed into brick wall, brick curb, and steel street signs! As every kid will do
Then it would be so tough it would break the kid when it inevitably smacks them in the face. It's a catch 22 situation mate, can't have it both ways, better have it smash up than kill someone.
A heavy hard projectile would make it too tough and bones will get broken. Then the problems really start, the woke zombie mother invasion will ensue, heads will get bashed in with handbags and frying pans, cats and dogs will live together while plotting to take over the world from those filthy warring humans....... So the Internet keeps telling me. lol

Besides that, nice little truck. Especially the battery is much nicer then the old blue once WLToys have as well.

I has 2 days ago the 12402a arrived from aliexpress. It was just arround €65,- shipped from spain. A really good deal in my opinion. Put a brushed Hobbywing 60A ESC in it and a DumboRC receiver. Sadly the 3 pin servo did not just arrived. But i has convert the stock servo from 4 pin to three pin by place over the PCB from a 17g Surpass servo and it works great. The stock ESC did the full controll of the servo but by 3 pin servo's the pcb in the servo does it. Simply good looking to the origjnal connections in the pcb of the Surpass and connect it to the 4 pin. :)

I like the new body and the bumpers, the bigger wheels will strip the diffs faster than diarrhea runnig down your leg.
Those metal hubs can do the journey as well rather have all round plastic. Great video and can't believe you landed that twist flip over the ramp.

I have the 144001 and love it I thought this was a different RC but it's just a different body I love that you put a 3s battery into it even though you didn't think it could handle it LOL

Would that body fit on the original ?? Just thinking the lights are a nice feature, and one of the few things lacking from the original (which i have 2 of)
I'm big fan of Wltoys, but they should change servo for 3 wires...

I guess if they haven't changed the shocks from the 144001 and having bigger wheels, the chassis doesn't ground so when landing big jumps the shocks take all the force

Squatted trucks look to me like a cross between a lowrider and a stadium truck.
Get it brushless converted! You can fit a 28mm can motor in the smaller holes and run the 19?t 0.7 mod pinion drilled out to 1/8". This could also solve the cogging on the 016 & 017.

I quite like the lime green on the wheels and body, but those hubs looks like they're made of 'monkey metal' (compressed metal filings for those not old enough to remember, of not from the UK (I've no idea if it's a phrase used elsewhere?!)). Having seen a few videos of this now, it looks to have less issues than some of the other WLToys recent releases. What state are the diffs in? Any grease? Nice test though. 😎👍🏻
We call it pot metal here in the states. Just usually a menagerie of whatever scrap metals thrown into a pot and used for casting. Cheap and low quality.

Look likenthe cheap with cast metal hub's that just used to snap as soon as you hit them back in the day!
Kmart in Australia must have started selling WLtoys, I noticed the same transmitter in one of their catalogues recently.
What!!!! You guys still have Kmart!?!? I'm jealous, Kmart was one of my favorite stores growing up now they are all gone in the US.
It's rubbish compared to what it was 10 years ago.

That's not a 550 motor. It might be a 550 sized can, but it contains a 540 rotor/stator and a fan.

I'd guess the motor won't pull the taller tires with the same gearing. Possibly faster with smaller tires or go down in gearing. Hence the baby 1500 mAh batteries, doesn't give it a chance to get smoldering hot before you are forced to give it a break, lol.

The box is universal that’s why it says 60 for other cars. Saves money
The box has this car printed on it though… so would be easy to change
I broke my gear case and I also broke my shock in the exact same place your broke at on my 144001 buggy.
My i know this car have low voltage protection or not on stock integrated esc..

The price difference of $30 is a lot. Here in China it's not that much, which makes it the better option of the two.
