- Bristol Dragway is INCREDIBLE! - Day 4 CARNAGE! Entering day 4 of this exhausting competition, we bring you coverage of the racers whom have fallen victim to the trials of being a TRUE street car! Fortunately pulling into the BEAUTIFUL Bristol Dragway made the struggles of the week feel a little more worth it seeing cars roaring down the strip of THUNDER VALLEY! Hot Rod Magazine’s “Drag Week” 2018 continues to prove that it’s the gold standard in testing the street-ability of any car, as several cars have dropped out due to part failures, accidents due to inclement weather, or full blown catastrophic engine destruction! Day 4 is the pinnacle of the week for some racers and it means they have made it farther than halfway and the end is in sight!

Fanfuckingtastic job covering this years drag week guys! I’m from Bristol, but wasn’t able to make it down to the track for this event. Congrats to all those guys and gals who made their best passes that day, as Bristol tends to be .1-.2 seconds slower than other tracks due to the DA. Watched the live feed though, and already missing it!

As always guys, outstanding video. An observation, the guy driving the white Toyota saying "this is alot harder than I imagined,," We TH-cam watchers most likely hve no idea how hard it must be so cudos to all those guys and gals who have prepared all year to compete in each Drag Week. It surely takes barrels of cash, many many sleepless nights and down and dirty GUTZ to do Drag Week. We applaud each and every one as well as you guys who follow along and document their struggles, their wins, their loss's and their satisfaction for having tried.
I was there by the fence all day in the blue individuality shirt. Top notch cars and top notch coverage 🤘 Well worth my 10 minute drive from home lol.

Awesome job covering drag week. Great considering I broke my clutch foot yesterday when I had to bail out of my Grandfathers Diesel Drag Car that decided it wanted to run away. Best entertainment you can have in a hospital.

i learned from welding that even a perfect weld has defects as so does everything made by people but that oil pump snapping off is crazy od ...
It's just a casting irregularity. You wouldn't notice it on a "normal" engine because the load on the bearings is much less so far less torque is applied to the pump.
Everything going wrong with the US stuff, but the australian charger that does 7's was going fine all day every day till the auto had problems but got it fixed and no more problems at all, that's how good the AU team is. :)
I bet a mobile machine shop could make some money following this event.

I disagree with you there. Each car is so different and uses different parts I think it would be almost impossible to find the part you need. A machine shop however is very versatile.
Custom fab a trailer to have a mill and lathe in it aswell as other assorted power tools. You’d make a killing making custom parts for people
No, you wouldn't. You would have to have a program written for every part needed. And you couldn't write the program and mill a part in enough time for them to make it to the next race. I don't guess you've ever seen how the cnc process works. And it would have to be cnc, as conventional is accurate but only useful using a lathe. Like turning down a push rod. They don't make conventional 5 axis mills. And even if you could do it, these people might pay a tad more than retail to get it made. Otherwise it would not be worth it. So your not going to make a fortune. Plus someone might break down, then 100 miles up the road someone else has broke down....
