Sounds about right. For a car with the E60 M5 Hurricane RR G Power's probable 0.31 drag coefficient, its frontal area of 24.32 sq ft thats 814.56 hp of areo drag and + 35.10 hp of tire drag at 232.5 mph. Thats = 849.66 flywheel HP req'd. 🥝✔️
The drag equation is a variation of the kinetic energy equation. Kinetic energy = 1/2 m v squared But you substitute fluid (air) mass density for mass, and times by drag coefficient x frontal area Force of drag = 1/2 air mass density x v squared x cd x frontal area Force per unit time will give kilowatts required I have no idea about the tire rolling resistance

It's one of the best ///M cars ever. It was the constant reliability issues that made it a failure for many. As far as I'm concerned.. it's a Munich Legend. The sound and performance was and still is absolutely exhilarating.
Mis information from people that does not understand the car and because the car has been switched to multiple owners that they tend to not read the manual, as far as ROD bearings i have yet to see the numbers or percentage of engine that had rod issues. Throttle actuators are more likely to go out. If u look at it All M cars are the best in each model because no M's specially the engine they are completely revamped not tweaked compared to the likes of Porsche, mercedes or audi.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Compared to the previous model, this thing looked chunky…in a not so flattering way. That doesn’t detract from that killer V-10. I almost bought one for cheap about 12 years ago. It only had 40k miles on it. Bought an AMG instead. Loved that Mercedes. But always wondered how awesome it would’ve been to own that M5.
It is the first 5 series that had its looks completely butchered by the new crash and pedestrian safety regulations of the mid 2000s. They're excellent cars though. Extremely well made compared to current BMW's and not expensive to maintain. The non-M5 E60's will run forever if they are looked after. But the E39 is so beautiful that the E60 was a shock when it was released. The infotainment system was extremely annoying also... 10 layer menus controlled by a wheel.
I never knew about any of this. Thank you for putting it all together. I would still take an M5. The sound is incredible. The reliability on the other hand is questionable. But if you’re slapping some super chargers on it with unlimited money in your pocket, go for it.
In fact, if you have space it can reach more than 240mp/h, a friend from Monaco has had a manual with the G-Power kit for over 10 years, over 180,000km there has never been a problem, I love that car!

And driveshaft and axles cause luckily frank at the driveshaft shop liked the car so much he gave us the first prototype runs of their shafts and axles for the e36. Not too damn shabby my friend. If you can do similarly good narrations combined with tastefully selected and edited video content, I highly suspect you will have a pretty successful You Tube channel. Ive personally ride in a G Power supercharged M5. It wasn't built by G Power but it still had their supercharger kit and accompanying fuel and cooling modifications. It was not a dual set up and used Rotrex based supercharger. I want to say it made somewhere in the the very high 600s to the wheels. The combination of the V10's relatively high revving engine and the gearing makes it a top speed car for sure. Its not a stop light to stop light winner. I live in Houston Texas and when my neighbor also a very good friend and I went to our freshman orientation (fish camp) at Texas A&M University, his father let us take the M5. His father was very sick and had just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on top of his early onset Parkinson's. I think he just didn't sweat the small stuff anymore because he NEVER allowed anyone near the car and certainly not 2 asshole kids heading to their first days at College. A&M is out in the Country and for 1/2 the 2 hour trip your on a 75mph limit highway. Everyone does at least 100mph though. Well we hit 195mph in super hot conditions and I remember it like it was yesterday. His dad had an Eisenmann exhaust, I think I spelled that correctly. It was titanium and inconel. The absolute best sounding sedan ever made. His father actually went into remission not long after that, but unfortunately my neighbor and good friend passed away in a motorcycle accident his Junior year. When his dad died about 11 years ago he gave the car to my friends sister, who still has it in the garage to this day. She's married, otherwise I would certainly have tried my luck with her, if for nothing else, to get to drive that car myself.
