@@PiroKUSS Yes, because the arcade game runs on the NAOMI board. Any arcade game that runs on NAOMI that’s ported to Dreamcast will always have its best home version on SEGA’s system. The GameCube and Xbox versions tried to “fix” things, but made the game less arcade perfect (re-balancing, Groove changes, roll cancelling removed, etc). Out with having a cabinet in your home or emulation, the Dreamcast is the best way to play the game outside the arcade.
That's just crazy! They went extra mile and beyond! Thanks to Derek and the whole ateam for the huge updates and contents And as always thanks to you for telling and reminding us!
I've played CvS2 a lot on my Dreamcast long ago back then & Looking forward to this version with extras. I played this on the OG Xbox even online-vs a few times through Xbox Live, A shame that the netcode in this plus some other games online back then wasn't that good along with the OG Xbox controller wasn't that good for fighting games & When I set up the match I always made sure to turn off the E.O. option where every person who comes in has to already know how to play (without using the E.O. mode like it's Smash Bros). At the end of the day the Dreamcast version of CvS2 is still the best.
That's awesome. I can't wait to play the completed fan localization in the near future. Does anybody know if _Capcom Vs. SNK: Millenium Fight 2000 Pro_ got the same treatment?
CVS2 had crossplay in 2001....japan is always living in the future.
it's ok we still have an active online version on the original xbox :)
Literally the perfect port, since the arcade version was released on the Sega Naomi aka an arcade Dreamcast.
Wayyyy better than the Gamecube port.
Is it better than the Xbox port, though?

Ps2 version is bad?
@@WILKOF-GAMEPLAYSSince there is was crossplay with dreamcast I would presume the gameplay was equal.
Derek and the team have done phenomenal work here. Looking forward to it being finished!
