Hi again Martin. You Made me laugh when you said it will damage your camera THEN your eyes. I just ordered a proper made filter for my Skywatcher Startravel 120mm. I have not used it yet as it only arrived today 14/02/2018, would you know it, its bloody raining here in the UK. Anyway Martin, what i would like to know is, do i need any other filter for my eye pieces. The only filter i have and use loads is a Baader Semi Apo filter 1.25 Inch, it kills just about all the CA

Hi Mencegtr. I agree I have said some stupid things on video by mistake, but sometimes I've not noticed it while I'm editing my videos. A Solar filter like in this video.

I would seriously recommend, The Baader film is a great filter but if you don't fancy making it yourself there are other solar filters you can get from good Astro retailers. The Solar filter needs to be the one you attach at the objective lens of your telescope. They will filter out 99.9% of the harmful rays and avoid your losing your eyeshight in the process. Avoid screw in solar filters which attach to eyepieces these are very cheap and they crack easily with intense heat-up build up, they offer no protection to your eyes at all. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
The only useful filter is the Baader Contiumin filter which is reviewed in this video.
Again you MUST ALWAYS!!! use the Solar filter at the objective lens with this Baader filter I mentioned!! th-cam.com/video/tI37nScIqbo/w-d-xo.html
