One commentor identified it as a swingle tree, a less common term for single tree. Your videos are getting better and better, the pics are clear and shots of finds are easy to make out.

Awesome recoveries.The piece of iron with the hook @19:50 is one end of whats called in the south a "Swingle Tree",it was a three foot or so hewn cut of wood with a fitted band and hook on both ends and a middle single eye hook, the middle iron band/eye was attached to the chest harness of the animal while the ends which you have held the reighs and extended just past the shoulders of the animal and served to turn its direction.I have a couple from my grandparents which used mules at the time.I've actually found that they make an excellent hoist for swinging up deer for skinning.Clearly all the fittings were hand forged to fit the dimensions of their wooden blank which was thicker in the middle and narrowed towards the ends.Cool old pieces of history.

Found a lot of rings and blings, clad coins and late silvers. You guys are doing much better. I would trade everything I found for everything you found. I think the big stones were part of what supported the floor of a building, and those coins fell through the spaces in the floor as folks came there to do business with the residents who made their living in that spot.

Looks like there was a couple old places on my sisters place probably was there before 1860. We celebrated the counties 200th anniversary probably 4 or 5 years ago .Was pretty close to the first county seat before they moved it. Might get lucky and find something on my 3 acres i have.

I found the exact same eagle button, looked it up and it seems to be a civil war artillery button.
I think it got dated between 1812-1850 if I’m remembering correctly. That’s of course peoples opinion on a Facebook button group.
