I came across your channel a few weeks ago and I am totally enjoying the experience. The videos are really enjoyable and it's great to see a group of people enjoying their detecting. We don't get many US coins here in Ireland, but its exciting to watch you all finding the coins and relics, which brings history to life.
Maybe it's a Goats Knob lol There are a crazy number of Jersey copper variations. Two different guys who had a contract to strike them and they made several sets of does each. Then they were using the obverse of one die set then switched it to the reverse on another set as they kept cracking dies so there's so many different combinations (varieties) to be found. I have 4 Jersey coppers from over the years and not two of them are identical. The shields are big to small and the horse on the other side has many variations one looks like and is called the camel head. Some varieties are pretty rare and valuable
Decent machine to hit that little chain link. Good detecting Rich; hit on that, and cut s q's are possible. That NJSC is cool. Good area you guys have dropped on.
Charlie Charlie Charlie Wow. Congrats on the three Coppers in a row. That's awesome. Rich love the Silver Chain piece hope all of you were able to find more of it. Congrats on all the Coins and Buttons to everyone out there. Take Care all of you. Looking forward to seeing what else you find in that field.
The return of the Hob Goblin. Even know he did,nt get a cob Leroy had some good fines. But the man of the hour, Mr. Charley wow I have never seen 3 😮 large cent in 3 holes in a row. Very fun to watch dig Jason.I am ready for Thursday!!😊
Another great hunt from you all!! Nice chain link Rich and an awesome “Hat Trick” on the coppers Charlie!! Someone else suggested Button Glutton as another name for you Jason which I thought was very fitting! I was just wondering if on one of your videos you could explain Doug’s various titles please Jason? I look forward to the next video, fingers crossed that new field is as giving as its neighbour!! 😊🇦🇺
31:34 Every episode I just find amazing at the finds you have in your areas. We just don't have the old time period here in N. California. My oldest coin is 1888 and same for detecting buddy 1890's as well. We work hard hard to get Merc's. We are in a current dry spell for the last 3 months. No gold rings or silver for that matter and not a single silver coin in 3 months. I dug silvers all summer long almost getting 1 every time out. But now nothing. I actually got a little down 2 days ago. Sun broke through the storms so I headed out to tromp through the mud. Few hours in soaked and muddy and nothing but some clad. Not sure how to break this spell. Thought well I need to do some door knocking and I was turned down with a No. Its been raining hard again so I been hitting the research to find some old locations to go prospect. Maybe one of these will turn things around and kick out a silver or two. Great finds fellas! Keep it up! Maybe one day I can take a trip east and give it a try out your direction.
Well done gentlemen, congratulations to Charlie on his trifecta of coppers! Now that you have access to the other property, I'm sure there will be tons more amazing finds. Good luck on your next hunt!..👍
Man you guys live in heaven for old coins. The people in Georgia lost a coin they would hunt that sucker for days until they found it. I have been around old houses down here and have not found anything but junk. So bad we stop going. And most of the people here want let you hunt there land. they don't want no one digging up anything off of it.
You can cut the horn’s off and use a hot branding iron to cauterize the blood flow tag them, then also deworm them while you have them in the shute, then let them out. Then you don’t need an ox-knob.used to do it to the cattle back home in Kansas 😊
Love watching and learning about all your cool finds! I got cold chills when someone said the family that gave you the new permission has been there since the 1600s! Wow!
Charlie was knocking 'em off rapid fire, just unbelievable finding those coppers and the tombac in succession like that!! You all did great and I imagine you'll all do even better in the next vid- that site is an incredible score!
Yeah, sorry about that. I was watching another video before yours..thought I was posting on it off to the side while simultaneously watching yours...but nope, didn't work.😊
All this talk about shanks, knobs & busts... Makes me think of Thailand! Nice copper hat-trick Charley! That's what they get for taking a break 🤣 Hope to see you all on the live stream!
Congratulations to Charlie on a great copper day! I have been compiling data for over 20 years on ground found NJ coppers and would love to add any NJ coppers your group of friends have found and have not previously been in contact with me possibly from some of the other FB detecting groups. I can ID by variety almost all ground founds if enough details show and than enter that variety into my circulation study by STATE and COUNTY found in. Charlies NJ Copper appears to be a 1788 Maris 67-v variety, a rather common variety and it would be when entered the 51st of that variety in the survey, which has 90 varieties in it and over 1370 ID'd by variety. The 1788 Maris 67-v is the 8th most common variety reported to me found in the survey. So I would gladly see any and all of the NJs found by anybody reading this who has not previously reported their finds. I need a photo of both sides and State and County found in. My last report was published in March 2022 and will be putting out a new report this year since the numbers have increased dramatically. I can be PM'd on Facebook with the data and photos. Thanks, Don Hartman, Mays Landing, NJ
I think Ms. Lynn is a very nice person to stay out in the cold with you guys.
Somebody has to keep these guys straight.
"The family has been here since the 1600's" "They must look really bad" LMAO. Good one QH !😂
I LOVE THE LONGER VIDEOS....30+min IS SO BONUS...TY TY TY 🙏
Let’s go let’s go treasure and adventure 🇺🇸🌎✌️🌺🎉👵💕
This site is such an inspiration for up and coming detectors to keep digging even at questionable metal indicators.😊
