    There are people that exist in this world that are REAL LIFE SUPERHEROES like this guy, that actually worry about the well-being of others. Thanks so much for sharing

    That man (the late Robin Mckenzie) has put a place in a map, He teaches me through this video on how to discover an uncovered knowledge, despite he was taught that flexion is the best movement but developed a self belief against the teaching that has surpass his teachers,I like this attitude of putting an end to the limit.

    I love this video. I am totally pain-free now. I controlled my pain through the mckenzie method.

    Wow what a great video! I love the simple analogy he uses about a cut on your knuckle. How if you had a cut on your knuckle you would experience great pain if you flexed it and it would never heal.
    This is gold right here and explains why I have had chronic back pain for so many years....I never fully heal...
    I have to learn to sit with my lumbar curve preserved and also learn to hinge with the hips so I can prevent back pain and allow my disc to FULLY heal...

    I have bullshit back pain for years like a lot of other people. Started doing Mckenzie exercises every day for over a month now, after about 3 weeks including better posture, the pain started going away.

      Let me ask you something, did you have symptons of inflammation? Meaning fever, cold chills. I am taking Ibuprofen (300 mg). Not sure what happened, I've been working from home/sitting down for what 7 years now, I rarely leave the house, and I think I got a bulged disc from merely supporting my own body weight? (I'm not obese) Things got scary.

      @@das8771 Interesting, thanks. Well, nevermind, I was worried that the inflammation meant that I had "broke" something real bad, but I just learned that if I'm not having leg pains it means that my case is in the starting phase, and it's easier to reverse it.

    I find it perverse that there are health care professionals (who have supposedly taken a vow to do what is in the best interest of their patients) that oppose a method as successful and non-invasive as yours just because they are greedy.

    Hi Tim. Centralization has been investigated primarily with pain response to repeated end range loading. Paraesthesia can change to tingling before resolving. However if one had it for a long time (year +) there is a good chance it will not change.

      What about herniated discs?
      Can it go away forever?

  • @Gorber
    @Gorber 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Is it adviced to continue doing extension excercises if there is still tingling in the leg or what if the pain goes away from ties but tingling starts it the foot? But also how fast the pain and tingling are supposed to go away or can those subside after or later in the day?
    Just talking about precaution measures within the first few times(days) doing extension.

    hello dr. suprun, thanks for a superb hope giving video. I suffer from tinnitus since last 22 years. it started with blocked eustachian tubes and recently after a bad ear infection my tinnitus which was minimal suddenly became a loud somatic tinnitus. do think it could be cured with mc kenzie exercises? I would be grateful for your reply.

    Are the neck exercises (retraction and extension) helpful in treating Cervical Spinal Stenosis? Can the exercises slow or stop the progression of CSS? I have had great success with Robin McKenzie's back exercises for my lumbar pain. I can't express how grateful I am to him. He has transformed the suffering of so many. Thank you for this video. I hope you can answer my initial question about the neck exercises.

    • @sobespine
      @sobespine  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you 🙏🏻. A mechanical assessment is needed to be done in order for you to know if the exercises are appropriate. I’ve had many patients that it did help and those who needed a different exercise. Best is if you find a certified or even better a Diplomate in MDT and get the evaluation done.

      @@sobespine Thank you so much for responding to my question. There are many MDT physical therapists in my area, but none of them accept my insurance and without that, they are unaffordable for me. $200 per visit is far more than I can afford at this time. Thank you again for your help.

    Hello Dr. Yoav.
    So, correct me if I am wrong, but Robin McKenzie's exercises do help and can even reverse (if caught at an early stage of developing) herniated disc issues and sciatica? I already started them and I believe the centralization has come. But it kinda feels now that the tingling has increased over my whole body, or it might be just paranoia from too much information. Is that a normal stage of the whole process?
    Thanks in advance!

      Стоян Гогов it will be best to have an assessment first to make sure you are exercising correctly and that the exercise you are doing is suitable for your problem.

    According to some physiotherapist doing leg to chest extension is wrong fo bulging/herniated disc.
    If it is wrong please explain.

  • @amana8319
    @amana8319 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Some physiotherapist says that chest leg extension (pulling both/single legs towards chest)is actually wrong exercise for herniated/bulging disc instead it worsens the problem.
    If it is wrong what is your explanation.

    • @dirtbagseth
      @dirtbagseth 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Knees to chest flexes your spine (similar to slumping) which increases pressure into the bulging disc

    I have a spondylolisthesis so extension doesn’t feel great, and not advised by PT’s and doctors. I don’t have a shooting down pain going down on my leg, but would like to prevent buldging disc. Should I stay away from full extension?

    • @sobespine
      @sobespine  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would be advised to seek the help of a trained MDT clinician (Diplomat preferably) to have a full mechanical assessment of your spine first.

  • @evemcardle8545
    @evemcardle8545 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Does not work for everyone you have to know we’re the disc bulge is before you start physio he just followed what a client did probably a very mild back issue

    • @sobespine
      @sobespine  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Absolutely doesn’t work for everyone and a mechanical assessment is key. The disc model is only a model Robin used to explain what he thinks happened with Mr. Smith but as we know with current research - NO ONE can tell what structures are involved.
