Another great DIY informational video . Thanks for sharing this with us. Jeff you and Keith are teaching us how to do all kind of things. Saving $$$$🇺🇸
Awesome awesome how to video buddy!! I think I might have to try and make my own molds now!! I just got to get my big floor drill press back from my buddys place!! I didn’t have a garage to keep all my stuff in so he has let me keep a few big items in is shop!! But now I have got my 60’x80’x16’ pole barn up and just got the concrete in so now I’m definitely ready to get my shop all set up for sure!!
Great video. Been considering making a mold for pouring weights verses buying one. This has given me a good insight into how to do it. Thanks for sharing.
Great video on DIY on how to make your own fishing weights there now it's something I'll have to check in own making my own here I'd say around here a person could sell them to people too cause they are always looking for someone who can make them too have a great day now and I'll ttyl now thanks for this learning video too
Thank you for watching and commenting I appreciate you subbing my channel. Trying to build a channel to help and educate and sometimes catch a fish lol. Share with your friends. Glad you got something from it.
Enjoy watching creative men do craftwork, but you can buy bulk lead spools in 1/4 or 3/8" diameters and just cut them to whatever length you want and use pliers to flatten and a hole maker to complete it. I expect the cost of the lead coil spools will be insignificantly more than the bulk lead you use to make these molded ones.
Lead spools are 5-8 dollars per pound. Around here I get soft pure lead for about .40 a pound. And it’s just fun making stuff lol. It’s about the challenge for me. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it.
The one I use I actually have spring pins in one side one on each end. I should have shown that. I drilled the hole for the spring pin through both sides. Installed pins in one side then over sized the other so it would slide on and off easy. then I use a spring clamp to hold together. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it
I’d just drill all the way through on first pass with a bit the size of the wire you want to use. Then do the rest just like in video. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it
That one is about worn out. Usually the stream is a lot bigger coming out the bottom. That one is a lee 10 lb. I have a Lee that holds 20 also. They’re worth the money. You can add lead as you use it up. Thanks for watching and taking time to comment.
Lol. Uses a table saw to cut a pilot hole so that way when he drills it’ll be “tried and true”. Then uses a hand drill to drill final hole! YOU DO REALIZE NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DRILL STRAIGHT DOWN BY HAND. THIS IS WHAT DRILL PRESSES ARE FOR. EVEN THEN IT COULD VEER OFF. YOU ARE BETTER OFF DRILLING WITH A SHORT BIT TWICE. ONE ON EACH END.
Usually the table saw slot works perfectly. But trying to do it looking through a cameras lens kind of screwed me up lol. Yes I use a drill press when I make them. But not everyone has one. I appreciate you watching and commenting I like getting feed back good or bad. I hope you choose to watch other videos I’ve made. thanks.
Thanks for taking the time to show how to make a mold! Teach a man how to make a mold and he will fish for a lifetime!
Very nice! I need to build a mold like that! Thanks for a very good video!

Yes sir that’s why I started making them. It killed my fingers and it was slow. I can pour a couple hundred quick.
Great video it might take a little effort but it beats paying $50 for a mold

What size drill did you use for the last drill to make the 2 oz. and 4 oz. hole?
I assume the length of the holes is about 3 3/4" long, correct?
Good dude! And thanks for the video!

Motorcycle helmet with visor, leather gloves, heavy coveralls, heavy jacket, boots.....or you may dance with the silver devil.
Lol. Been there.
@@bowl830 I've been lucky so far..
Beautiful bro
Thank you very much sir
Nice
Or you can pour some lead into a cold channel iron. Just pour it in and let it run down, solidifies immediately, drop it out and do the next one.
I would buy those molds from you.
Thank you for shows us how to make them. How many pours can you get out of one of those it gets to hot to handle?
Actually if you weld the nuts in a piece of pipe. I can pour hundred. I usually wear welding gloves for protection when using melted lead anyway.
good jobbbbb tks

Awsome 👍👍what blade are you useing on the table saw
It’s just a standard fine touch carbide blade.
Question: could you use a piano hinge to keep the plate aligned and a spring clamp to hold together while pouring?
The one I use I actually have spring pins in one side one on each end. I should have shown that. I drilled the hole for the spring pin through both sides. How would one make a mold for pencil style bottom bouncers with the wire through it
I’d just drill all the way through on first pass with a bit the size of the wire you want to use. Then do the rest just like in video. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it
Have you ever thought about selling these? I would be interested in a couple.
I wish I had time to make them. I appreciate you watching and commenting
What would you charge to make me a mold
number 30 drill bit metric
Old-timer I love your video Maybe some of these TH-cam idiots lessons from you how to make a video
Who you calling old😂. Thank you I appreciate you watching and taking time to comment. It makes it worth doing for me.
Yeah because everybody has a sick huge piece of 1/2” tick aluminum laying around
go buy it then , how hard can that be
Wow what kinda smelter do you have
I got a few of the Lee pots
I like the way your pot drips from the bottom. I have a hot pot and have to pick it up and pour it.
That one is about worn out. Usually the stream is a lot bigger coming out the bottom. That one is a lee 10 lb. I have a Lee that holds 20 also. They’re worth the money. You can add lead as you use it up. Thanks for watching and taking time to comment.
