When I feel depressed and always listen to this soundtrack and everything is okay. I was 7 when I played this game and it taught me how to read better. They just announced the remake and my son is turning 7 in October. Life comes at you fast. Damn.

The most exciting part of the new announcement for me is the fact that every single one of these gems is getting a totally new high quality orchestral version. For 27 years I've been humming these tunes to myself. I love this OST so much.
I’m hoping they don’t go the orchestral route for the whole soundtrack. The instrumentation is such a huge part of this SMRPG’s unique flavor. It just won’t feel right without all those iconic xylophone trills!

Raise your hand if you have never heard the Game Over themes all the way through before. When all your characters are KO'd you usually don't just let the game sit there, so it sounds like the game is just adding a "minor key fade out". Nope. They are fully fledged tracks.
Man, 1:45:24 is so beautiful. I love in the game how you get the little flash-forwards to show how all of your party members' lives went on. Wonderful way to end one of the best games ever.

Just a constant reminder that, no, we don’t need many “mature” games anymore. Admit it. Being aimed at an older audience isn’t an excuse. It never was. Think about it. Even more so when you realize how they're just as violent, shocking, gory, and disturbing as possible with very hateful disturbing characters that don't deserve to live. Childhood innocence is a key part of our lives, as it helps us stay positive, even in the most dire situations we face in the world. This soundtrack is so catchy and upbeat, but mostly peaceful and serene, which is something more people really need to appreciate. It’s the smaller, simpler things that matter the most.
I'll be honest, LotSS got it all right -funny moments -great soundtrack -nostalgic -great "lore" -great map I'm really happy you've done an OST on that one, but it'd be hard to miss!

this will easily remain one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. not often is there an OST I would willingly listen to in one sitting with my full attention but this OST just does it for me. it's just unbelievably charming and has a special place in my heart (along with the game, of course!) thank you so much for uploading this :) edit: wanted to mention as well, "Let's Go Down the Wine River" will always be my favorite, or at least top 5. it's just full of energy and always puts me in a great mood, as does "Grandpa and the Delightful Tadpoles"... the bassline really does it for me.

i just now realised that the first song in the game is called "Happy Adventure, Delightful Adventure" and the second to last song is called "Happy Parade, Delightful Parade". a nice little detail and it brings the end back to the beginning
No disrespect to Paper Mario cause it's an entirely different kind of RPG and it's awesome but... Nintendo can't do much to this game since it was a joint effort between Nintendo and Square Enix. Square Enix owns the rights to the Geno character and half the rights to the game. You'd die of old age before Japaneese copyright lawyers could hash out a deal to re-release this game.
I kinda forgot how sad the ending themes are. Not just bittersweet; heartbreaking. No wonder Geno got so firmly cemented into everyone's collective hearts. I'm not crying, you're crying!
I'm in the middle of "Margarie Margarita" and it's pretty cool how Shimomura pulls off the Baroque imitative counterpoint for a little video game villain theme.
I have this game coming in the mail for my snes and I couldn't be more hyped. Tried to beat it quite a while ago but couldn't get into the rpg aspect but this time im ready 100%
So nostalgic. One of my first RGPs I actually played through back on SNES before Chrono Trigger when I was a teen. Regret selling my SNES collection with this years ago. Had completed game with stats for all characters maxed out.
I remember the parade song one time made me cry and I didn’t even know why. I was a kid & I really enjoyed the game and seeing it end was so sad to me.

This Mario game is my #1 favorite of all time. I love it so much. I now play it on an emulator on my phone and I'm loving every second of it. I feel the child in me get excited every time I play it. The soundtrack is amazing and fun to listen to. Thank you so much for uploading it.

This is still one of my favorite OSTs of all time. Yoko Shimomura is a master composer, and her work is incredible here even though it's one of her earlier projects. I listen to this when I need some help with motivation, and it never fails to give me a little energy boost. Thanks for posting.
It's funny how much this game influenced the original Mario Party on the N64, the music, the mini games, even the boards. Makes me wish Geno survived the transfer.

I just played this game previous month and seeing remake out of this made me burst out all my lungs. This is nuts.
Everyone who spent weekends devouring this game in the mid to late 90s are here again 20 plus years later. This soundtrack is remarkable.
Listening to the soundtrack again made me remember just how special this game is to me. I can’t believe I’d forgotten.

1998.- después de llegar de la secundaria, lo primero era prender mi supernintendo con el Mario RPG puesto mientras me cambiaba, decirle a mi hermano vamos a seguirle donde nos quedamos, creo por ahí tengo el cartucho de Mario entre mis cosas.
Gracias Nintendo por permitirnos conocer mas personajes como Mallow y Geno de ese maravilloso mundo de Mario Bros.
