Fun fact: this mod was said to have 141 collectable stars, it was supposed to have 142 but a mips star cant be obtained because of one glitch, on the last stream snooplax did of this “build”, the dev officially said this was 100%, but now, EmanueleX said there are actually 145 stars because 4 are obtainable after the credits scene, so its like 102.84% if 141 stars is 100%, otherwise 141 stars would be something like 97.24%
Although there should technically be 141 stars that can be collected "officially", the real official total according to the dev is 140 stars as getting the Vanilla Basement/Uncanny Courtyard MIPS 2 is not required, only their MIPS 1 is required. However, the current known total of stars you can get is 145 stars. The 5 bonus stars are the 3 extra MIPS stars (Crimson Hallway MIPS 1, Wing Cap by the Rainbow Highway MIPS 1, and Vanilla Basement/Uncanny Courtyard MIPS 2), the TTM waterfall star that only appears after beating Bowser 3, and the TTM 100 coin star which can only be obtained with coin cloning. Note: The Crimson Hallway MIPS 1 and the Wing Cap by the Rainbow Highway MIPS 1 stars have to be collected BEFORE getting the Vanilla Basement/Uncanny Courtyard MIPS 1 star as it will advance MIPS 1 to MIPS 2 and it will make the Crimson Hallway MIPS 1 and the Wing Cap by the Rainbow Highway MIPS 1 stars impossible to collect. The reason why this happens is because both the MIPS in Vanilla Basement and the MIPS in Uncanny Courtyard are part of the Overworld and therefore collecting MIPS 1 for one of them will advance all 4 MIPS in the game to MIPS 2. The reason this doesn't happen with the Crimson Hallway MIPS and the Wing Cap by the Rainbow Highway MIPS is because those 2 areas are part of courses and therefore collecting those 2 MIPS stars will not advance MIPS 1 to MIPS 2. Pressing the Yellow Switch in Metal Cap under the Water will also give you the Vanilla Basement/Uncanny Courtyard MIPS 1 star so if you want all 145 stars then you do not want to press the Yellow Switch. So to summarize this, there are a total of 4 MIPS stars but only 1 needs to be collected for 140 stars. Also, the star in the Dark Hallway can be collected by triple jump hovering over the warp and landing on top of the star, however, collecting this star does not increase the star counter so there is no real point in collecting it.
Miyamoto send the copy to Kojima with a letter saying "DUDE! CHECK THIS GAME WE ARE MAKING! YOU WILL SHIT YOUR PANTS! LOL1!1" and then Kojima contacted Miyamoto via MSN Messenger and said "FUCK YOU MAN! THIS IS FUCKED UP SPOOKY SHET! I CAN'T SLEEP AND AND I HAVE TO GO TO WORK TOMORROW :((((( !"
There's something about this mod where, specifically in the castle segments, it always feels like you're not supposed to be here, like your time is limited, and like there's something pursuing you and you're just barely staying ahead of it.
i love how it gets scarier as you go further and further in. it starts off as just jumbled up bits of different castles, but as you go further the walls start to show literal cracks and the music changes more drastically. and then eventually, you get so deep that things become weirdly silent and everything is extremely simplified, its honestly really scary
I have a different view of it. I love this game because of the dream like vibe of it. Not due to the creepyness facto,r, but just how big and filled with secrets this game is, kinda like when you dream about levels that don't exist.
i love how vinny did the exact thing he was looking for in the easiest way possible, and spent the next 2 videos searching for it instead of actually getting there via video footage
There's a probably-unintentional shortcut to the vanilla lobby. If you go to the fear cave behind the castle and kill yourself on the fire on the walls, you get spat out of the bob-omb battlefield painting in the vanilla lobby.
@@8Kazuja8 Actually, the fact that it spits you out in Vanilla BOB PROVES that it is unintentional. This actually happens in a LOT of romhacks. The reason for this is if the creator forgets to bind a location for after you die in specific areas, the game defaults to the BOB painting. This is especially common in romhacks for areas that the creator did not intend for it to be possible to die in, and in this case it's probably because there are just so many different warps that binding a death warp location for every area properly is near impossible. This "default" warp has actually been used in many hacks as a speedrun strat, as being able to visit the original Castle (which a lot of hacks don't even have) ALSO means you can access _every other painting_ after that, basically providing you with an easy way to reach every course in a romhack even if the intended overworld is much more complex.
A shame he didn't come across the dark mario that can crash the game or the giant faceless mario head but it's hard to navigate this game in 3 streams anyway.
Has anyone else got to the part that’s room that LOOKS like the regular secret peach slide room, but it had the dry dry desert textures and no music. Instead of the stained glass it’s hieroglyphics, if that helps.
It's really incredible we got this game nearly a decade after James Cameron and his film crew found the cartridge near the bottom of the Mariana Trench. Its said the restoration of this game is the main reason Avatar 2 has taken so long to reach completion.

This has been one of my favorites among Vinny’s recent streams. This mod is just so amazing in its storytelling and sense of discovery amid a maddening never ending castle labyrinth. “There are so many worlds to visit within such little time”
I'm absolutely loving it. Feels like my childhood dreams of Mario 64 plus all the feelings from childhood that the game was way bigger than it actually was. I'd love it to get a compatibility boost in the future so it can work 100% on a legit N64, though I know properly finishing it is the priority.
I was so bummed that I missed all of the stream except for the ending! B3313 is perfect for those who like to explore games Yumi Nikki style. I can just imagine myself discovering a game like this at a young age while I was yearning for another Mario 64. The confusion, the dread, the nightmares; just for the pure thrill of it all! Also, congrats on your new album, Vin! 🎉 Nothing feels better than accomplishing a long and arduous task such as building a whole chain of songs! I heard a minute of it, and it feels like it’s perfect to just unwind to… once I’m done composing my own list of tracks first.
The one thing I like about this rom hack is the fact it squishes every single mario 64 iceburg thought and personlized experience videos into one hack. probably one of my favorite rom hacks in a long while. though i just wish some areas were a little more compressed since you have to long jump alot if you want to get somewhere fast. Spoiler on what happens near the end: Vinny: unfortunately Luigi died on his way back- *luigi dies ingame * the timing on vinny's narration, lol.
This game is like a dream version of Mario 64, as in its very similar to how the game would look like in my dreams the few times that it shown up and things being either slightly or greatly off, and how chaotic the transition from location to location is, like wondering in a dream.
The journey continues one final time! Yess! I couldn't catch the stream, but I'm gonna enjoy watching it here. I love this romhack and I wish there were more games that played around with sprawling, confusing room layouts and subtle moodyness like this one. Btw, I nearly died when I came across the eel room yesterday. Did anybody else find that during their playthrough?

I don’t know if this could be possible but I bet it would make an incredible live show if there was some way to hook up an instrument to an animation of an ai building an image from a prompt. Whenever the instrument is played, it plays the animation so that it looks like the ai animation is slowing down and speeding up to the tempo of the song and building as the song progresses. It would look cool on a guitar I bet if you added overdrive and had the animation pick that up so it oscillated with the sound of a long note being held.
I kinda wish vinny didn't rush through this, he should've just saved it for another part instead of asking chat where go go for the last half of the episode
