Thank You, kinda. It's been forever since this steam, but I was talking with someone, and then they mentioned the idea of randomized. I agreed, followed by a wave of others saying it, and then... Vinny eventually picked up on it.

This edit of [Dead End] doesn't do it justice. That was like 20 minutes of Vinny helplessly flopping around while we all watched in absolute fury. The payoff was spectacular.

That line plus the ding dong sound at 17:30 when Link puts the master sword away is kind of sinister. Like is Ganondorf secretly still there, dinging the dongs?
I'm disappointed this edit left out Vinny spending half an hour in Ganon's Tower *clipping through the floor and walls* to try to get to the Light Room since he couldn't find the Golden Gauntlets. That was insane.
Also he spent hours searching through all the dungeons for the Light Arrows, only to find that they were in the Shadow Temple - the one he gave up on exploring at the very start - all along. He was pissed.
It also left out his many attempts to find that moving invisible platform in the Shadow Temple in the first place.

I love how Vinny has this really heartfelt speech about being younger and how the idea of playing a game and never beating it feels more special than beating it because, like childhood, it'd mean it's over, but then manages to fuck it all up by going into a 90 degree non sequitur in classic Vinesauce fashion.

I caught myself playing OoT back to back and the nostalgia is immense. The songs, the dialogs always feels like the first gameplay. I was enjoying the game so much that I didn't realized how happy I really was back in that time.
Yeah, that really got me too.
I got a similar feeling at the ending of Star Fox 64, that music and the orange sun view.

Dead End is one of the greatest moments in vinesauce history
Plot twist: Dampé is true Zelda who was transformed by a curse from Ganondorf. The Zelda you meat is just a puppet to trick Link into opening the door in the Temple of Time and pulling the Master Sword so that Ganondorf gains the power of the Triforce.

Now THAT would be a romhack and a half: a version of Ocarina of Time where Saria has attained CHIM.
Come to think of it, I'd like to see mods/romhacks that emulate "jvk1166z.esp", except not quite as time-consuming and not quite as likely to haunt you IRL. Being able to explore new weird creepy mysteries in a game we've played a lot of, that could be an experience worth having.
Also, 15:22, aaaaand the award for Most Kinky Gerudo in Ocarina of Time goes to her. And the fact that she openly admits that to Link, well... I guess she's a keeper?

Man, I love when Vinny gets profound like he did when talking about how we can't go back in time to our Golden Days. He's definitely wise, it's just that he's also a goof and uses that to entertain us which I also like a lot.

God, you HAD to watch the entire "Dead End" deku stick segment to get the fullest out of it. I was CRYING my eyes out at how hilarious all of the buildup was up to it.
Vinny's monologue at the end got me really emotional. I think a lot of us feel that way about Ocarina of Time

Everyone talking about the Deku Stick, I think the Light Arrow text was the highlight of this. Might be the funniest coincidence I've seen out of one of these.
I never knew about that Adult Link skip in the Song of Storms place until now. Glad to see that it paid off in the (DEAD) end though.

This whole stream was just chock full of amazing moments (read: train wreck) from start to finish. The first draft of this thing was over twice as long as it is now, and that was still not including everything!

18:00 vinny talking about having dreams about what zelda gaiden and his excitement expressed in having dreams about what he thought it would be like has practically returned a part of myself because i haven’t been feeling the same emotions after quarantine, i remember being so excited when they announced botw2 and my excitement was beyond limits practically, but when the second trailer released i felt sort of empty, i was really worried if i was just losing interest in the things i loved but hearing this about dreams just restores my hope that it’s still there because i have dreams about botw2 and other things i’m excited for like red vox visions and upcoming movies or tv shows

I understand the feeling of devastation after beating a game important to me. For me it was Secret of Evermore when I was a teenager. After trying to play it so many times as a kid, the day I beat it left a huge hole in my soul; My emotions at the time elevated by the beautiful/somber title/credits theme that played afterwards.

I must say that this game is really something. Playing it years back. I share the same sentiment with Vinny: I felt devastated when the game ended. I don't know why, you usually feel content when finishing a game, but when I finished this one, I just felt sad that it was over. Happened again with Majora's Mask but never after it.

It adds a bit more impact to DEAD END and all the blue Rupees when you know that he spent like two fucking hours trying to get each of those items.
In the case of DEAD END, most of that time was spent not understanding what chat was telling him to do. He didn't realize Link could clear the jump from the pillar directly to the center - he thought he had to jump up onto one of the rotating arms and kept trying to do that while chat shrieked at him.
By the way, you're supposed to get that Heart Piece by either coming in from Dampé's grave (which Vinny couldn't because he didn't have the Song of Time because randomized) or using the Boomerang.
I believe this is the first Vinesauce stream I ever watched. I'm glad I stuck around. Usually.
