They’re getting the writers room together now, so I imagine a late fall or winter release next year, if not early 2026. But I hope it’s sooner! There was a rumor they were filming in November, but I don’t know how accurate that is, especially if they just started writing. I can’t wait for them to drop more teasers and crumbs. But even before that, I’m most looking forward to seeing the casting announcements! The Vampire Lestat is my favorite book, and if this teaser is anything to base it off of, I believe the showrunners are going to work magic on it. We’re in for a real treat! And edit: Louis is not going away! The showrunners have revealed that even while the focus shifts, they have big plans for Louis’ involvement in the upcoming seasons, which I am very much looking forward to. TV show Louis is such an exciting character, much more than the book counterpart. And I can’t be mad at seeing more Jacob Anderson on my screen! And as with all the changes, it will keep book fans guessing, which is part of why this show is so fantastic.

I know they will expand Louis’ part from the books, but I really want him on screen with Lestat and not in his own side storyline. There is absolute alchemy when they are together, even if they aren’t together together. We really don’t have time for too many invented subplots because they have already announced that we will have Nicki, Gabrielle, Marius, and Akasha next season.
Of course Louis will be there per Rolin and Sam. Sam who says he cannot imagine the show without him, neither could we. Plus Louis is very present throughout all the books, even if not seen. Anyway they brought a character to season 1 that doesn't actually show up in the books until the 11th one....Dr.Fareed Bhansali. They don't mind mixing the books for a fuller story. So we will see Gabrielle, Magnus, Marius and others added to our cast of regulars .....it's going to be fantastic 🎉🎉
Thought I'd missed the reactions to 6 & 7 when I saw this drop, and you confirmed you'd finished the S2 reactions!?! Love the reaction regardless! How can anyone not be spellbound by this beautiful, mesmerising, ridiculous drama queen! Sam Reid is going to KILL IT, living out his childhood dreams!! Glad you enjoyed it guys!
I think they're just behind on the TH-cam uploads of the show... I'm sure that they have the full reaction available on their patreon at this point. But yeah they have not uploaded all of their season 2 reactions to TH-cam yet.
The full "Long Face" song is on TH-cam. I've read some interviews and Rolin Jones spoke about Louis definitely remaining a top billing for the series and Jacob Anderson is absolutely fantastic. I think they will have Lestat's backstory, his band tour (Yes, TOUR! Not just one gig 🎉) alongside maybe flashbacks of Devil's Minion, and then Louis in present day Dubai and elsewhere. Another very important main character will be Gabrielle de Lioncourt. I really want to hear her story or at least a more fleshed out version of her through Lestat. Casting a non binary or genderfluid actor in the role would be awesome too.

Rolin Jones said that they are definitely going to keep Louis in the upcoming season and not sideline him like the books. He also said they were going for a glam rocker for Lestat, which makes sense considering the beginning of the song sounds like Jean Genie. Sort of sounds like Bowie and looks like Marc Bolan. I've been saying for a while that the third season should be Daniel joining Lestat and his band while on tour to write The Vampire Lestat. Eric Bogosian is uniquely qualified to play a writer touring with a band because he actually did used to tour with rock bands and hip hop groups.
I'm so HYPED for season 3. Divas are back, babyyyyy. Lestat is about to show all these duds what it's all about.
