Loving the review. Love Assad's performance as Armand. Fell in love with his portrayal. ❤
I also identified with Armand the most. His personality is similar to mine, so even when he does something wrong, I fail to judge or resent him for it because I understand where he's coming from. And yes, Assad is perfect as Armand. Absolutely fantastic performance and deep understanding of the character.
Louis is entitled to feel upset about losing his family, Claudia, and his humanity. If leatat didn’t like to be around that he should’ve just left. You can’t tell someone how to grieve. Or hurry up so we can be happy. That’s not how grief works
They made the rule no secrets yes but that changes when you realize Lestat lied about his affair. I feel you’re giving Claudia and Louis so much grief in an attempt to consider the other side which is commendable. I love Leatat with a wounded heart, but he’s a beat who always wants his way. And screw “well they’re vanpires” yes but they came from humans. And feel emotions and struggles like humans do.
Lestat is a hallucination right now
Fantastic discussion and analysis, as always, you guys! I agree with Albert that watching this wonderful show IS stressful (in the best way)! And I couldn't stop laughing at Baz's expression during the head-bashing scene - comedy gold! 🤣 Cannot wait to see you endure and survive the rest of the season! Great job!
You two should do a reaction to _Baby Jane._
Very different from the book here. I wonder what it will be when Lestat tells the tale. We have yet to see Lestat at this point.
I appreciate that they’re vampires and not humans but they still have emotions. Even more so than humans, arguably. So brush off Louis and Claudia’s abuse at the hands of Lestat and say ‘they brought that on themselves’ is victim blamey and really gross actually. I was enjoying these reaction but that attitude gave me the BIGGEST ick
FYI: There was a dedicated intimacy coordinator for this film and all the movements were planned and rehearsed.
Glad to see you come back to this series. Each episode is better than the previous, so keep going.
Watch Good Omens, it's amazing. My second fave tv show after Dead boy detectives. 💙❤
It's def on our list. Hopefully we'll get to all of Nell's works. That's the goal.
Niko is a good representation of someone who stays being a genuinely sweet and caring person even after bad things happen to you. All of them have trauma and all of them have reacted differently. Edwin closes himself off and try to stay on business, Charles fakes being a happy-go-lucky all the time, and Crystal tends to lash out or be sarcastic about it. Niko is the one who stays compassionate and open out of everyone in the group. It's because of it that you see Edwin open up to her more than Crystal even though they're all newly acquainted.
Have been looking forward to this! Great (if painful) episode. Since Edwin's classmates called him a homophobic slur while they sacrificed him, even before his death he was probably very aware how being attracted to other boys would get him into trouble. Even if he were aware of his attraction to Charles in the past, he wouldn't want to jeopardize their friendship, and it became one of the things that they don't talk about. I'm sure you'll love episode 4!
Love seeing you guys continue to watch this show! Its so good!
I was waiting for this one! Good video
Yes, I'm anxious to see more of Interview! This was a good episode.
yaaayyyyyy! i was waiting for this! i really really loved your reactions from the past two episodes and the show really needs a lot more viewership and promotion, especially with netflix being notorious for cancelling good shows after 1 or 2 seasons just because they don't have "enough" viewership.
❤❤
❤❤
Yeahhhh so happy for this video!
Dubai is heating up nicely, and the coven are indeed a scary bunch, particularly Santiago! The music this season, just like the last, is exquisite - and even I, a confirmed Loustat lover, was touched by Loumand's sweet beginnings! Only Lestat can hold me in his thrall though, and I'll savour every moment he appears, however brief and brutal! Great job, you two!
I do have to wonder if Albert actually ever read the books. He doesn't seem to quite understand vampires (let alone some of the characters) in this world. He doesn't seem to understand their motivations and he seems to really think that they should have human morality. Constantly shocked by everything. If Albert did read the books he would know that their inner monologue is far from anything human and wouldn't be so shocked all the time, like Collins isn't. Also Collins is the only one ever mentioning prominent things from the books. Collins will mention something from the books and Albert will just go along with it, never adding anything new to what Collins said or expanding on what Collins had just said, only saying "Oh" or "Yeah"... Just an observation.
🎉❤ I get so excited for these reactions. 😊 Happy Pride!
Same! I start looking for them as soon as I finish an episode.
I effng love this film. One of my favorites.
Alex is resentful of elite, esp Henry, in the beginning; b/c he gets a lot of criticism for being multi-racial and thinks Henry (being white, blond, & British) has it easier. Eventually, he understands that Henry just has different pressures (centuries of family) weighing him down.
Top tier acting by Jacob Anderson and Delainey Hayles killed it!
Delainey Hales has a very raspy voice, I think. It's interesting. I thought there should have been Emmy nominations for the first season, but I guess horror just gets ignored.
Lestat was created in the books in 1781 (born 1760) and created in 1794 in the show (to accommodate Sam Reid's age). He makes Louis a vampire in 1791, when Louis is 25 in the book. In the show, he meets Louis in 1910, I think. Lestat is already made at a later age and has been a vampire for much longer on the show than in the books. I know you don't believe what he said on the show (or what Louis said he said), but I don't think there would be any reason to change Lestat to the 1500s to match Armand.
Lestat was born in the 1700s in the book! And Armand during the Renaissance. It seems they have kept that true for the show as well. Glad to see you guys reacting to the second season! Each episode is better than the last!
Lestat was made in the 1700’s
I'm going to sound like a broken record in this comment section... but I, too, am also extremely happy that you guys have decided to watch season 2 of this show! It's so so good, so far!
So happy to see you back for S2!!! I loved hearing your thoughts on S1 and, once again, I'm really enjoying the contrasting reactions you both have! Albert's endearing sensitivity being balanced out by Baz's pragmatic excitement is EVERYTHING - and I can't wait to see you both enjoy the rollercoaster ahead! Great job, guys!
love thisssss!!!!!
Yeeeeees, I've been waiting for this comeback 💜💜
Armand said he was 514 in present day Dubai (or 2022). In late 1930's New Orleans, Lestat said he was a few months short of 180 while Claudia said she was 36 and Louis said he was 61.
Lestat was made a vampire by Magnus in the winter of 1779. Armand was made a vampire in Renaissance Italy.👍🏻
Extra fun note: Don Giovanni the opera premiered in Prague in 1787 so it's possible Lestat is telling the truth as he was a vampire at the time. There's an Easter egg later in the season that I won't spoil, but definitely keep watching the episode insider segments.
@@psychedelicpegasus7587yeah The Insider segments are absolutely a must watch! It gives little snippets of character motivations from the actors and writers and stuff. Very cool!
New season! Can't wait to see it all :D
🎉🎉🎉 I'm so happy! 😊😊😊 I love your reactions.
You do know the rest of us have watched through episode 5 and 6 is just 5 days away. 😊 Love the opening marquee, pay attention as you did and you will know where they're at. This season is brilliant. Enjoy 😊
I am happy you are watching this season because the first season was amazing but this season is so good can’t wait to see more reactions especially for episode 5.
You're back!! Happy Dance!!!
So happy you’re getting back to this show!
When I was 6 I was obsessed with this film and watched it all the time. No surprise I came out 10 years later 😂
Ever since Claudia was introduced, I did not like her. She caused so much upheaval in Louie and Lestate's relationship. If she was not brought in as a vampire, Louie and Lestate's relationship would have flourished. She was the poison in their relationship.
I think those pixies are my new favorite characters in the entire show.
The 3rd season will be coming in October 3 2024.
The Cat King definitely awakened something in Edwin. Funny that some other reactors assumed that Monty would go after Crystal or Niko, and you realized right away that he’d go after Edwin. Definitely a bit of a proxy war between the witch and the Cat King.
The station they were at was called "School of the Heart".
Debacles and catastrophes -- like Watson mentioning cases we never get to read.
I don't think Anne Rice's son, Christopher, ended up not having involvement in the show. He and Anne Rice had executive producer credits, but he has told people asking about the show on his Facebook to contact the showrunner, not him. Take that how you will.
