I think the Ōmi Rengō is the equivalent of the Yamaguchi-gumi in the world of the Yakuza games. They're a big and powerful syndicate from Kansai, always looking for opportunities to expand into Tokyo.
The Tōjō-kai is the equivalent to the Sumiyoshi-kai, the second biggest Yakuza syndicate and native to Kantō.
