    Thanks for sharing. Thinking about buying/using these however based on your information I would gauge 30'000 Miles or 50'000 Kms they will need to be replaced.

    You sure those are real denso? Iridium tips don't wear like that and just break off. Fake Machibed tips fail like that. I'm just curious where you got them from?

      Rock Auto. When I bought them they were touted as 100K, then soon after that claim disappeared (it now seems to be back). I have also read where they were considered performance plugs with a max life of 60K at one point. When I bought them the TT's were fairly new and plugs were reasonably priced, not sure if knocks off's were a thing yet for these. Perhaps they have since been redesigned as car manufacturers bury the spark plugs and need them to last at least 100k.

    Thank you for this video. I have an 02 and put these TTs in and yes they are "Genuine" lmao.
    But i have this very same issue in under 50K miles. I can say these 4th gen vans have dirty running engines to say the least. But i am definitely going to the Champ double platinum after this mess. Lol

      I have read that Denso says these are a performance plug and you should expect 50-60k from them. I also read there is a different series of TT that are the long life 100K version.
      Is there 2 versions?
      Have they since beefed them up?
      God only knows.

      I suspect they have since been redesigned. I should contact Denso and find out, maybe I'll get a free set out of them!

    I've been reaching for 60-plus years and I just took a set of original spark plugs out of an 04 Highlander the Iridium dances and they had 270,000 miles and we're still working they are completely flat both top and bottom I've never seen a more wore out spark plug

      At 270k I'm surprised they weren't worn out back to the wires!

    All plugs wear. The only reason why they have iridium etc etc. Is to last longer than Norma copper plugs. If you got 50-60k miles. That's pretty good ..
    Sense copper lasts about 20k

      They originally touted the Iridium TT as lasting 100k, as well as performance benefits, they don't print that anymore. I saw no benefit with these over the OEM platinum. My warning with this video is when that iridium is gone, that gap will quadruple in size in no time. The OEM plugs will not gap out that quickly when the platinum is gone.

    I put them in my T&C because in theory, it is a better mouse trap. I was not impressed. Idle seems like it should be smoother. Almost like it’s not the right heat range. Runs fine off idle. Had thoughts of swapping back to factory champions, but I have too much else to do.

      I felt the same thing, and sometimes the idle would be unstable. Since it swapped back it's been running great.

    How about denso iridium longlife, is it better than denso iridium TT?

    • @DIYBenzGarage
      @DIYBenzGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never tried them. Denso says 100,000 miles and the center electrode looks a bit beefier than the TT's. For my Dodge grand Caravan I'm sticking with OEM platinum Champions. They are not a fine wire plug and last much longer.

    are you sure you did not get fake plugs, I've had these on my 3.3L V6 toyota and after 60K they are still like new, alot of the parts on Amazon or Ebay now are all fake

      I got them when they first came out and I suspect they have since redesigned them.

    I have changed my plugs on my prius after 60k and i didn’t realise that i was scammed with fake denso plugs , same with you they are not genuine but chinese counterfeits.

  • @dmironyuk

    Never had issues w/Denso's; your engine must be overheating or you gapped them w/the wrong tool & strained/fractured the electrodes during the process. Must always use the wire gap tool & never touch the center electrode during the process, hey you live'n learn😉

    • @DIYBenzGarage
      @DIYBenzGarage  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pre gapped, didn't touch them, I knew better. I recently read that this plug is considered a performance plug with a expected lifespan of 60k as stated by Denso. The newer versions may be different. There is a lot of conflicting info on the expected life on the TT.

    That's fake Denso without Iridium.

      Fake wouldn't last 60k. Bought from Rockauto and I saw no indication they were anything but genuine.

    This is BS men, I've seen many used 80K - 150K miles Denso TT sparkplugs, both electrodes - 'center iridium and ground platinum' still in place and most still within factory gap setting. You got yourself 100% fakes regardless where you bought them from. End of story,
