Going by the air vents on the building, you was next to a data centre and the system you set off is a Vesda system they are very sensitive to smoke a regular system wouldn't have went into alarm. They are so flipping annoying lol
School i went to had some dodgy fire alarms. A bit of steam or dust would trigger it

I do like the different camera angles and positions Kev, nice touch, also, you can tell the difference between the road friendly suspension on the Scanny and the road unfriendly suspension on the Renault, I felt them pot holes and speed humps sitting on my settee 😂

why would you pick up a vehicle, bring it to your yard, then bring it back to the person you originally got it from
Insurance may have refused the car because of defects that could have caused the crash. Such as tires below legal tread depth.
108K end of life??? WOW some cars these days must be made of tissue paper. I know Vauxhalls used to die after 55K back in the early 80s but most cars should easily reach 150.
Those Astras are quite dreadful, I don't think it's wholey a fault with the cars but more to do with the type of people who own them skipping oil changes or any repairs. I've had to transport one to auction with rod knock at 50k miles.....
@@wetlettuce4768 Sounds a bit like my father. He had company cars for some years but took pride in never having them serviced. After three years they were more or less junk but he boasted about all the company money he had saved by not wasting it on servicing. These were otherwise nice cars as in Alpha Romeo, Lancia etc. He would not listen to anyone.
End of life vehicle at 108000 mile my Vauxhall Zafira petrol is running like a new car at 217000
It depends on the economics of it all. At 15 years old, it simply isn't worth doing anything more than basic servicing and MoT because the value of the vehicle is so low. At that age, a major service plus the need for one axle of brake pads or a couple of replacement tyres might be uneconomic even at an inexpensive garage compared to the cost of a newer car with no faults and perhaps more life remaining. Annoying faults such as broken air conditioning are certainly not worth repairing in such an old vehicle.

Virtually every last one of the cars i see you pick up for scrap I see here in used car yards for anything up to $15k AU
The used car market is unbelievable in the UK. Cars get scrapped because they need £400 of work. Cars with new mot (1 year inspection) are sold for £5-600. I think it's the cheapest in Europe
They do drive some pretty awful cars in Australia though.
We don't get salt on the roads here so cars last a lot longer and stay in better condition.

Did your paper work say not to start it lol..i think your yellow sheet did..However,i would not have started it but pushed it or got people to at least move there cars so you could load the car without a smoke alert...
The other thing i noticed the 1st car you started unloading with checking if a customer was about to tell you where they was happy for you to leave the car..
No, nothing on the paperwork and we don't have a yellow sheet. I wouldn't of pushed a mpv on my own and there would of been no way of finding who owned the cars nearby.

Great vlog as usual Kev, loving that MK2 Golf just before your drop, I vaguely remember you collecting from there so pretty certain the collection is in one of your vlogs. As for the length of the vlogs I am happy either way as long as I get a fix of KevTee, all is good haha ;) Didn't look to be anything wrong with the Prius? Great video, but crumbs I can hear it now "I cannot let you out of my sight for 5 minutes...". Those smoke alarms must be sensitive for a smokey vehicle to set them off.

The smokey Ford was that from Chelsea Bridge ?? those flats looked familiar, near to the Evo center. Drove once through the big smoke to deliver a car now i leave the driving in London to the train or tube driver. Cracking video thanks again

Wonder why they wanted rid of that Ford... Was thinking, in the olden days when cars rusted a bit, the body showed the age more. These days the body corrosion protection is much better, so cars look great from the outside but are falling to bits underneath... Breaking a Prius must be a bit of a challenge.
Once the battery goes bad on an older prius it's often not worth repairing, that's why they get scrapped
I love the scania but can u have a Volvo truck or a man truck daf or a Mercedes Benz please get back to me soon as witch truck u want to to have

The over day I was walking down the road (the day I first found your channel) and a scania came up behind me and scared me to death and it was the one u had and that made my day so much happier.

Can I just give you a little bit of advice? I'd suggest that you always take the key out of the car while reconnecting the battery. It's unlikely but the central locking could activate and lock the keys in the car. The hassle it would save out ways the slight inconvenience of taking the key out of the car with you.
You came close to the area I used to live in when I lived in London.

When you do the London pick ups I find myself trying to pick out the route numbers of the buses to see if I drove them. You have a masochistic like of tight squeezes our Kev,
