It's always sad seeing some of these old "end of life cars" on their way to be scrapped when all they need is a few hundred pound spent on repairs to keep them on the road. Yet folk are happy to spend double or three times that on a slightly newer, but equally old car that runs but could easily need the same money spent on it again by time it's MOT is due. :(
I agree i try and fix up and sell on some older stuff and make sure its still ok to stay on the road but so many people want to much money for cars needing work, then you get people scrapping cars in better condition, understandably because they dont wanna deal with all the messers trying to sell a cheap car, that golf was a shame probably a half decent car some theif has ruined
The last car I scrapped could have been repaired, but I was at the stage where I wanted something bigger. If my current 14 year old car develops a fault requiring a 4 figure sum to fix The factors against it are the high tax bracket and poor fuel economy.
@@cnevill2 because theres high demand for cheap autos last auto I fixed up and sold went a day after advertising it, low millage laqure peel on roof and bonet but mechanically sound
