Exactly, Kev seems to take on these challenges with a professionalism and skill that would put beemer boy to shame...
Those kind of lanes were a daily routine for me back when I was driving Skip wagons in Devon. I would often have both wheels both sides in the hedges never mind the mirrors! Especially on a particular job to a stables in a village called Ashburton which required the biggest truck in the fleet and a blind reverse up a dirt track with the mirrors folded in ! I once got a tree limb caught between the lifting arm and the cab, couldn't reverse out due to slipping on mud after heavy rain, so I eased the truck forward and tore the whole tree roots and all out of the ground !

Scrapping 10 year old cars. My "new" car is a 1994 Toyota Celica (Scotty says they are good). My old one is a 1972 Hillman Avenger.

I enjoyed your trials today. Did you know that the rally drivers call those roads with a green strip down the centre A DUAL CARRIAGEWAY.
Don't you get seasick bobbing about on your seat. I thought the idea of suspension was you stay still and the wagon bounces.

It'll be in a ditch at the side of the road when it rains a little when the driver thinks AWD can some how defy physics.

Indeed. At first sight of the truck I was like 😨...but then when it drove off to the right I was like 😌.
Driver in the Beemer thought that like Inspector Gadget you could say, 'Go, Go skinny truck mode.' and all would be well.
New(ish) subscriber to the channel, thoroughly enjoying it & currently working through the back catalogue. Did watch your cab tour on the Renault and noted your comment about the front suspension. Can totally agree as once spent an AA Relay back from South Molton to Leicestershire sitting in the back of one of their crew cab vehicles. It took about 3 days before the feeling totally returned to my backside. Was reminded of this at 4:10 into this vlog.

Thanks for the great video Kev I remember how nerve wrecking it is driving those narrow lanes used to do it in an 8x4 crane truck back in the day. Maybe you need to add a chainsaw to your arsenal, I know guys who carry one in their machines

How on earth do you back that truck with a car on the spec lift that you can't see? I don't envy you that job! We have 12 ton tilt and slide recovery truck at work with a spec lift, but I can't use the spec as I only have a class 2 licence. Can't say I'm disappointed.. :-)

I drive a Merchant lorry for B&Q/TradePoint and I get lanes like this on the daily. Never enjoy them though, I’m glad I don’t vlog otherwise I’d have to censor about half of what I say 😂
Hahaha yes I curse the 'idiot' who thought it was a good idea to send me down these lanes, but not going to lie I do get a slight buzz when I get through without creating too much mayhem.

Looks like you've you gone from the frying pan into the fire with your new job, get a straight trunk form depot to depot , easy a bit boring but no stress and probably the same money..I do Andover to Exeter 5 nights a week, takes 7 hours get paid 8 so loads of time at home.
To be honest mate I couldn't think of anything worse, variety is the spice of life and all that 😂

Not a bad bit of driving down them LARGE Lanes, you had plenty of room Kev, don't know what all the fuss was about, as always mate, Drive Safe, Stay Safe.
That large looking place before you got to the third collection was a golf course. I had a bad bike crash coming down the hill at 30mph just before that several years ago, front tyre blew and sent me over thankfully my head hit the verge side but was cut and bruised all over. Lovely little lanes around Brands Hatch/Sevenoaks but not in something that size!!!
You look almost like Paul Hogan from Crocodile Dundee. Name in part obviously Mick Dundee. & Dundee as a city isn’t a bad place to walk around in but my favourite City will always be Edinburgh. Brilliant vlog as always Kev & I’m already looking forward to next weeks vlog. Keep up the good work.

Apart from the Beemer, most of the Drivers were helpful and moved out of the way as best they could. I suppose it you live in those areas, situations like you encountered will be a regular part of their daily driving.
Good work on your part Kev, I think Trent have you singled out for the difficult jobs. When I was working I took pride in doing the worst jobs, who wants to just sail through every day without a challenge!!!

You know yourself how little trailers come round on you and get out of shape quickly, well I thought the guy with the Portaloos did a neat job backing through the gate with one shunt. There wasn't alot of room behind or in front. Plus he had the usual audience! 👏👏👏
Hi Kev, i passed my class 2 test in July and struggling to find an opportunity, I’m registered with many agencies, I’m told for insurance reasons and lack of experience being a newly passed hgv driver I’m not being accepted for most opportunities i apply for to get started as a hgv driver.
What more do you want on a Friday, tight country lanes and impatient BMW drivers. I personally love driving down these tight lanes I love the challenge, and you really seem to of got to grips with that little Renault, another great Vlog kev.

well done kev nice bit of driving, should have been a cycle path. when you are bouncing up and down on your sprung seat does it not affect your foot on the throttle.
