When I sat down to watch TV she would crawl up on me and take her little black hand and pat my face and snuggle me. This made me cry and smile at the same time. So precious. They are much more intelligent than you would think. I loved her so much.
Saw a skunk following a little boy while me and a group of friends were chilling at the park. We were watching to make sure it didn't hurt the little boy, and then he turned and picked it up. We freaked out for a second before realizing it was a pet. We all relaxed after that and enjoyed seeing the little cutie, it was a fun experience.

I love this, reminds me of when I was in high school I had a pet porcupine that lived in the house. He was potty trained and had his own bed area. I remember him being so playful and so much fun. He eventually moved out to the wild once he reached adulthood and would come back to visit once in awhile and eventually just stayed gone. Mr. Prickles was a great friend.
My family did this with a squirrel when I was young! His mother died when he was a baby so we took him in and raised him until he was an adult, then let him go. He lived in our big front yard tree for a while until he eventually left for good. His name was Mr. Giggles

It was on a hill in the springtime, in the most picturesque meadow with all sorts of colored flowers and bushes surrounding it. And you could just see this little black and white fluffy animal with its tail up walking through. ❤

Another most case scenario is that you have to have an exotic pet or rescue license for exotic animals. a lot of states won't allow anything crazy as a pet for no reason. Monkey being an example. you can get them as support pets, but unless you have insurance, they cost upwards of $30-40,000.

They're usually fine. Skunks can be quarrelsome with each other in family groups. Lots of drama. By themselves they're often affectionate. No spray danger as long as they're comfortable with you and the other household animals. They're not looking to spray noxious chemicals where they live.
they're basically a mini dog. extremely social, intelligent and clean. there are some channels on here with their pet skunks. if I lived where it was legal to own one I would. they also are de-musked so they can't spray you lol

I agree. Animals are just a different kind of people in fur, feathers & scales. Just watching them interact with each other shows us they have many of the same needs & cross-species love & friendship is a very beautiful thing. She's not tame, skunks are just chill animals overall for the most part. She's still a wild animal. Even skunks bred in captivity for several generations, even a hundred years, are still wild and not domesticated.

My two brothers and sister had one way before I came along. I am 10 years younger than my next oldest sibling. Anyway, my Dad and Uncle found an abandoned baby, and had it's scent glands removed. All three of my siblings said it made a great "pet"... Growing up around them, they became it's parents and it was never aggressive.
When I worked at the animal shelter, an officer was called out to get some newborn kits that the mom had been killed. When that officer showed them to me, I was racking my brain to figure how to take them home. But I was not in the best situation for them, so logic won out over emotion. They went to wildlife rescue.
My daughter rescued two babies just this spring she had them in her care for 2days until she found someone who could care for them, she couldn't with two babies of her own and work and all but she was hellbent they were going to live 🤗.
Literally every single pet in the known and unknown universe does this. Animals don't just eat for luxury. They eat because their survival instincts tell them to.
Skunks are adorable creatures. This reminds me. My cat Ginger Beans is like a second shadow. He's also a trained ninja but bad at being stealthy. He appears out of thin air and hides in plain sight. He thinks he's hidden but you can see his wiggling butt poking out. He purs so loud he can wake the dead. He's so spoiled he doesn't do anything but nap and cuddle with me. He's only active from 5 am to 11 am, he sleeps through the night too. He doesn't eat a lot of food. He ends up wasting food if I give him a a whole can of wet food. I have to split a can a day. He is trained to do tricks too. We have a treat table that he chose for training. He sets and rolls over, also he poses for photoshoots like a Vogue model. He loves kisses and nuzzles me all the time. I love animals and I would have more than a cat if I could afford it and had the space.

That's my cat with a bowl and spoon. Usually means ice cream or milk leftovers, but now he comes around even if it's spicy chilly or chips!

My two brothers and sister had one way before I came along. I am 10 years younger than my next oldest sibling. Anyway, my Dad and Uncle found an abandoned baby, and had it's scent glands removed. All three of my siblings said it made a great "pet"... Growing up around them, they became it's parents and it was never aggressive.
When I worked at the animal shelter, an officer was called out to get some newborn kits that the mom had been killed. When that officer showed them to me, I was racking my brain to figure how to take them home. But I was not in the best situation for them, so logic won out over emotion.
They went to wildlife rescue.
My daughter rescued two babies just this spring she had them in her care for 2days until she found someone who could care for them, she couldn't with two babies of her own and work and all but she was hellbent they were going to live 🤗.

Literally every single pet in the known and unknown universe does this. Animals don't just eat for luxury. They eat because their survival instincts tell them to.
Skunks are adorable creatures. This reminds me. My cat Ginger Beans is like a second shadow. He's also a trained ninja but bad at being stealthy. He appears out of thin air and hides in plain sight. He thinks he's hidden but you can see his wiggling butt poking out. He purs so loud he can wake the dead. He's so spoiled he doesn't do anything but nap and cuddle with me. He's only active from 5 am to 11 am, he sleeps through the night too. He doesn't eat a lot of food. He ends up wasting food if I give him a a whole can of wet food. I have to split a can a day. He is trained to do tricks too. We have a treat table that he chose for training. He sets and rolls over, also he poses for photoshoots like a Vogue model. He loves kisses and nuzzles me all the time. I love animals and I would have more than a cat if I could afford it and had the space.
