@@RobMacKillop1 If I had the funds, I would have loved to buy that Martin Shepherd lute. His lutes are so nice. Hoping to sell a David Rouse guitar to fund a new lute soon.
@@nealzshipe And on it goes 🙂 I couldn't sell a 7-string guitar, but managed to swap it for a Ramirez 1A. Now that is for sale to maybe go towards that 8-string Roudhloff model. The Shepherd 6c was swapped for the Roudhloff. And on it goes 🙂
Hi Rob! Excuse my english, Let me ask you, do you know if there is any album/ recordings of classical music played with plectrum? I've watched your videos playing classical music with a pick and I fell in love with that way of playing. Thank you a lot. Best wishes
A lovely instrument Rob. It’s very interesting that Roudhloff and Martin were contemporaries. I imagine that if one were to be aching for a fist fight , one could claim that one or the other was the “true inventor of the x bracing system” at a convention of Roudhloff or Martin devotees. I’m remaining neutral until worthy evidence is found.
@@RobMacKillop1 Wise choice. Have you peeked inside with a light and mirror? It would be interesting to know if there are transverse braces projecting off one of the legs of the X in the lower bout.
@@RobMacKillop1 Next time you have a string off, it may be worth a look. The Martin pattern ,thats been used in America for decades ,is readily available to see on TH-cam. It would be noteworthy if that guitar is braced similarly. Patterns for the earliest models are in the realm of occult information.
@@chopsddy3 If you send me an email address, I can send you a pdf of the article by James Westbrook which includes an x-ray scan of the body, plus lots of other info on the dawn of the x brace. robmackillop@gmail.com

Hi Federico. I don’t know of any album. But my book has sound files for every piece, so it’s kind of like an album…😎
cool guitar
It most certainly is ! 😎
On some instruments the sound seems to bypass the ears entirely and just go straight to the spinal column!
Lol. Glad you like it!
Interesting :)
Interesting! 😎
Lovely sounding guitar: and beautiful playing. Thanks Rob
Cheers, Mart. It’s a wonderful guitar.

I’m keeping out of that debate! I just want to enjoy playing it. 😎
