Doesn't the major 3rds F# C# add D and A major to the minor 3rd down from G ( E) tuning? See acoustic tributes @ Barbara Salisbury 199vids@ TH-cam.com also Chris Young
Vicente Carrillo? He makes good guitars for the price. 10-string guitars are not chap, but Cathedral Guitars have the least expensive, I think, and they are quite good quality.
@@RobMacKillop1 well I meant to say Carulli style. I thought I looked back and checked it when I hit the post button. Smh.. sorry. I know nothing of the man you mentioned. I was going to hide one of the local people, save in shipping Anna making basically. And they are good from what I’ve heard so far.
Where do you get a good 10 string guitar? Seems impossible... Or sometimes you see something online but not sure if it's either a scam or if you can even try it before buying
There's a site called Cathedral Guitars, and they are sending me a $1300 10-string to review, which I should do in the next month. They are the main supplier for 10-string guitars that I know of, but I've never tried one. I hope the review instrument lives up to their claims.
Thank you so much for your response Rob, you're one of the very few people with a channel who actually reads their comments. I'll look up the website and see if they can ship it to Canada for hopefully not too much money. Thank you and keep up the channel your content and playing is amazing!
@@chiluditospro2 Thanks! If you do order one, do let them know I suggested them. That might help me further down the line. Good luck! Oh, yes, it annoys me when artists ignore their audience. I find the comments interesting and often helpful, and try to reply to each one, though I miss a few as TH-cam doesn’t always inform me. I’ll be getting a 10c again soon, so let me know if you want a Zoom lesson or two. Cheers, Rob
Hi Rob, thanks for this and all the other videos. I'd like to ask what camera did you use for this one. It captches well the guitar sound. Was the audio captured only by the camera? Regards.
Excellent playing, I'll have to do more research on the Russian guitar. I've recently tried experimenting with baroque guitar reentrant tuning on my six string classical. The lack of courses definitely makes a huge difference in the texture of the music.
It does. I don't think 5-course baroque guitar music works on a modern classical, even with re-entrant tuning - though I hope you can change my mind about that! :-) But baroque is all about the bass, so I prefer the lute music. Sounds quite nice on the 10-string.
Sounds great, Rob! This works better than I expected on the 10 string guitar.
Cheers, Wilson. I think the basses could be clearer, lighter. Not bad, though.
Well, that’s why you need to have a lute around as well. ;)
This works very well. Very warm and resonant.
Cheers, Jesso.
Lovely playing,sounds great!!!!
Glad you think so!
Just amazing!
Thanks, Evaldo.
VERY Beautiful !!
Thank you, Gilbert.
Great!!
Thank you!

Hi Rob, thanks for this and all the other videos. I'd like to ask what camera did you use for this one. It captches well the guitar sound. Was the audio captured only by the camera? Regards.
The camera is a Panasonic camcorder. I record the sound separately, with a Rode NT4 stereo mic.
Thanks a lot, it helps me. Best regards.

Only Franco Pavan and you could play this music!
And only you and my wife could say such a thing ;-)
Nice decacord! Unlike a double-neck guitar, the bass can even be tapped here!
Indeed! :-)
