I own the white variant of the C30s and I shared the same hesitancy because of the glossy design, but honestly I find that fingerprints don't really show up much? It's so glossy that even when they're full of prints (given you don't regularly have your hands dirty ofc) they still reflect almost perfectly clear unless you look real close. Definitely nothing a split-second wipe down can't fix. Not sure if the experience is similar for the black and purple variants, but just speaking from my own. I love using these while at the office. I don't like the feeling of occlusion I get when using transparency mode on in-ear buds (I have the Liberty 4NC), so I looked into these. I can watch youtube or whatnot when I'm alone, then don't have to constantly take an earbud out when someone comes in to talk to me. For the battery life, I don't consistently have videos playing for hours at a time so these easily last me 7-8 hours of casual use. I know the use-cases for these are pretty niche tho, that's why most people are probably just better off buying traditional buds at the same price. 😅 But I personally love them and would highly recommend them for those looking for a pair of open earbuds while on a budget.
The one thing that makes me hesitant about getting these is the glossy look. You're spot on with that take. Thanks Gamesky QCY is stepping out as a player in the budget range. 💯👍🇺🇸
Great review as usual, Keith. :) I'm not a fan of open ear earbuds, but I do have to say that these have my respect, particularly for what they *don't* include. Hi-res codecs and ANC always seem like a joke to me on open ear earbuds. If you're buying them specifically to let sound *in*, ANC (and particularly *charging* for ANC) is ludicrous. The same holds true for hi-res codecs. So this company has my respect for not including them, and for not charging for the earbuds as if they were included. < $40 is a reasonable price for these types of earbuds. It would be nice if the battery life were longer, or at least fast charging were included, but I give them credit for not trying to rip people off like I've seen so many companies do when they sell open ear earbuds.
I got based on your review specifically for the gym and running. They didn't disappoint, staying in my ear secure and offering an impressive sound, and just enough noise blockage (not cancellation) for me to focus. Contrary to most people's opinion, I like that they have the shiny finish... as they garner a second look from people as if I'm wearing earrings. The Pixel Buds are my daily driver, but these are an absolute steal at the price and will be my go-tos for activities.
I got these this week and really like them. Love the form factor though. I am returning them though Because I am getting the Soundcore C40i. Everything I wasn't happy about on the QCY seems to be dressed on the Soundcore. I should be getting them tomorrow. This style of earbud is going to be so popular in the next few years. So many more are going produce the style of earbuds. I'll be getting plenty more as the years go by
are they good for running / workouts involving a lot of movement like calisthenics? i am curious to see if any of those work effectively and not fall off. how sweat resistant are they ?
only white on amazon, bought them. still thinking of the bose ultra open. but cant beat the price for what these do. I dont want them to fall out, and definitely want to forget that they are in.
these have potential ... the only big thing (and i may not want to wear them out for this reason but i still would want to try them) ...isn't even the glossy look ... it's the potential "ear ring" look that I do agree with. Though I applaud QCY for trying something different...I never had any pairs of QCY earbuds but people i trust seem to like them. Never saying "They are the best at this or that, but they are just a solid value for the price vs what you get"
Jut bought these for 21 dollars in discount, I hope they work for running since that's what I'm looking for and I don't feel comfortable with normal earbuds.
Solid video bro so what would you call this style of earbuds cuz I'm actually interested in picking up a pair I don't know if I want to rock with these though but the microphone performance seems good I'm not a fan of the glossiness of the earbuds and the battery life but let me know have a good one and keep up the great work bro
So I own probably 35 or so sets of earbuds, from all the usuals. You name it, I have them. I bought a SHokz Open Fit set about a year ago and have really liked that open ear mode now, much better than in-canal mode - when Jlab came out with their earring style like these in this video, I bought a set, to try that style Maybe it’s just my vanity speaking, but I cannot get behind the look of this clip-on style. The Jlab ones do sound fine - not awesome, but ok - and for $35 it wasn’t really much of a risk. But I just cannot make myself wear them, simply because…well it looks like I’m wearing dang earrings! I’ll say though, I tempted by the units in this video….but that shiny look….hmmm…
Absolutely buy them. Nobody is going to care or barely even notice them. The form factor is the reason you'll love them. I love mine for that reason. For $36 you can't go wrong. They sound fine, get sort of loud enough. Touch controls hold them back a little. I've been spoiled with the touch controls on so many earbuds that these just aren't as good. So I'm sending them back and getting the Soundcore C40i. They improve on every aspect of the QCY. Yes they are more by over $60 but if they work better and I know they will be louder, just as comfortable. So I think they'll be worth it. This style earbud is going to be so popular in the years to come. So many companies are going to sell a version of these.
These are great headphones, I have the expensive Bose Ultra open earbuds as well and the qcy’s are on the same level as far as I’m concerned. So if you are on the fence GET the qcy 30’s and SAVE your MONEY👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I got the Bose versions and they put caused ear fatigue and skin irritation. The Monster versions are pretty good but are quiet. the Soundcore ones are my fave's in this style
For a pair of 40 dollar buds, i think the specs out donthe price in my opinion. I could deal with the lower battery life and no wireless charging in return for what they still offer for the price.
Your review of these is dynamite!!! One question: Amazon only carries the white version and I only want it in purple. What's up with that? Why do you think that black and purple are missing from the QCY mix at Amazon? That's odd! Thanks! 🏹♐
Guys i just made my own Bluetooth earphones at 16 beacuse i love things like making Bluetooth things and i maked my own UFO 1 Bluetooth earphones, i just put it on charger and one of them the left one just melted and i fixed it but the small module had a crack and its not working now 😢
6:59 who in the right mind is listening to music and or podcasts for 8 plus hours and day? This seems a bit excessive and probably even a little unhealthy for your ears
@@specularog524 even the marketing info from QCY website is straight a copy paste from Huawei Freeclip website. Huawei released the Freeclip a year ago, so I am calling the QCY a copycat version. Still, the cheap price makes the difference, since the Huawei is 3 times as expensive.
Trust me you won't. I'm a 53 yr old factory worker and I have these. Nobody thinks they look weird. The response when they find out they're earbuds is always "Wow, that's pretty cool" or "I like that". This form factor makes them so great to wear. For $36 you can take a chance and see what you think. I pretty much guarantee you like them. I'm getting the Soundcore C40i because they improve on every thing the QCY isn't great at. They are more expensive but I think it's worth it. Getting them tomorrow
Trust me nobody will laugh at you. If they say something and you show them the buds and tell them what it is. They will say "that is a great idea or that's cool". This for factor is the best thing to happen to earbuds in a long time. More comfortable. Nothing jamming in your ear. Safer when wearing. Earwax isn't an issue. This style of earbud is great. $36 makes this an easy reason to try them out. I guarantee nobody will think they look weird

I just got them for 28 dollars. Couldn't pass up that deal.
I thought you were gonna give a genuine reason but its stupids whats wrong with glossy?
Great review !
But do you have any idea about the QCY Crossky C30 vs Soundcore c30i
Great review as usual, Keith. :)

My Wife cannot use standard earbuds so I am curious if these will work for her. Thx for sharing and I'm sure she won't mind the shine factor 😂
Dang. Only available in white on Amazon. 🤔
I am ordering a pair. Thanks for breaking down the features
are they good for running / workouts involving a lot of movement like calisthenics?
i am curious to see if any of those work effectively and not fall off. how sweat resistant are they ?
Nice. Mic sounds pretty good with ENC. Does it has multipoint connection feature?
Yes
I actually like the style, unfortunately not yet available in germany
I have been DYING for you to review this new style! I know that there are few styles out there, but nothing reasonably priced. Thanks!
only white on amazon, bought them. still thinking of the bose ultra open. but cant beat the price for what these do. I dont want them to fall out, and definitely want to forget that they are in.

I got one pair from ugreen, but the only bad is the low volume. End up going back to normal earbuds

So I just received my pair, but can not find an app anywhere on the Apple Store? How did you find it?
I figured it out! These DO have great sound, even being open ear.
KZ made an iem style earbud and it has very good sound too
Thanks for the review. If they weren't glossy I'd probably give them a try.

Thanks for the great and unbiased review.

I would never consider them ,the only good think I heard its microphone is pretty decent ,no idea for who it is
I’m not a fan of open ear buds,
Pls review Fiio ft1
Well I mean it looks something ... that not gonna put in ear 😁
Word. Shiny.
Good one

Some people hate their their jobs. Earbuds help ease that
Copu of Huawei freeclips
No they arent. Not everything revolves around huawei

Looks like jewelry. I’d look silly in those.
