Thanks for watching, and good night. Tomorrow work continues with pulling the top triple clamps to change the Key Ignition, installing clipons, and handlebar hardware. Cleaning and installing race forks, race fairing stay, Power Commander map switch, Brembo master w/ remote adjuster, ECM w/ RCK3 plug in, safety wire drilling/ wiring, race subframe, race bolts hardware, bodywork prep, race stickers, kickstand engine cute rewire, etc.

Jesus thank you mother lord, I been trying to fix my false neutral and Quick shifter not working with the gas pinned and it was because the metal tab was bent. I straightened it and then permanently locked it in by turning the metal plate. Your the man. I really do thank you a lot for this and all your other videos.

What about cruise control?did it work properly after you do that?what happen when you have cruise control ON and press the clutch at the same time?

Can‘t wait to try it tomorrow, man! It took me ages of trial and error and yet the qs and blipper still do only work when they want to.

Haha hope it works for yah. See the wind was pushing on the clutch lever - disengaging the click out sensor. They have thr little "click" at initial engagement of the clutch, to stop the quickshiter from being active when you pull on the clutch lever
I am used tu pushing the clutch lever out with my fingers at high speed to make sure the quick shifter works. I am definitely doing this mod.

Omfg! You are a life saver! I took my BMW to track days and sometimes the QS wont allow me to go 4th to 5th....and yeah it would have been the wind! Tysm!!!!!
i've been fighting my 5-6 gear and getting desperate. just talked to a guy this morning after trying the 3rd brand of quickshift and we discussed if the wind at high speed could be causing an issue. thanks, i'll try this and see if it fixes it!

Primo advice!! After installing after market clutch lever I had problems with my QS. Once I moved that tab over to hold that switch in my QS works like butter again lol. Thanks👍

Great tip, my 2015 s1000xr quick shift was not changing properly in high revs, I sprayed a little Gibs on the switch and it works again. I think it may have got sticky after riding through a storm.

I was at official bmw dealer today there work guy I know him so I asked him... confirm me the cruise control will not work without clutch switch trigger. Regards 👍

Been having problems with my quick shifter due to some issue in the lever. Like sometimes it activates sometimes it doesn’t but might be this i only saw the bottom little metal activator and thought that was it so i changed out a part that was a little worn. But it might be that top piece. I have a 2011 bmw so ill check that out. I also have an issue where i cant turn it on in neutral and i feel like it might be a lever issue as well lol. I'm going to try this. Last few days I've been noticing my QS has not been working properly sometimes it would DS but no US (2015 model). hopefully this helps me out, thnx in advance for the video! and I also notice that my cruise control would not engage sometimes...

Yes OEM clutch cable.
Got one for you, i did that when i first got my bike and it fixed the Qs from 5th to 6th like a charm and made my cruise control work. But now for some reason my cruise control doesnt work i have to turn the bike off and back on with the key, while riding to get the cruise control to work, but recently that stopped working. I check the micro switches and they are still compressed but i can’t figure out how to get CC to engage. Some insight would be appreciated
But would it try to quick shift if you use the clutch within the rev range of the quick shifter?

What size torx does that little screw use? Smallest I have is T8H and looks like it's even smaller than that.

hey marcel i got a problem with my s1k 2010 got no gear indicator so also no neutral can not start only by pusch, how to get the gear indicator back working????
Will this affect cruise control? I have done this, but when I press the clutch in the cruise control is not disabled.
What about when you can’t shift down and stuck? Also converted it to gp shift

Question. By doing that on my S1000R, won't be bad to change the gears manually at low speeds? Since the QS will be always on, when i press the clutch to change the gears, the QS will come in anyway and it will be bad, since i will be at low speeds/RPM? Anyway, i will do this test tomorrow.

Does the cruise control work properly?
In theory it should as the action of locking down the clutch slight pull tab that when released means your pulling in the clutch, would also disable cruise

Won't the bike start and always be in gear??
Aggg it's not electronic shifting. It's just a signal switch measuring a closed or open circuit of the clutch is pulled back slightly

Hey Marcel. huge fan here. haha! i’m just wondering if you know a fix on the auto-downshift during hard braking. mine seems to prevent me from downshifting when during hard braking and i’ve done it with abs off, abs on slick mode and abs on race mode. i also did this tab rotation already which made my upshift consistent now. :) thanks Marcel.
You have a downshift issue related to braking hard? What are the variables?
Marcel Irnie so it downshifts consistenly smooth during light braking or when i just downshift with no brakes, but it was consistently NOT auto-downshifting in buttonwillow running clockwise from the back straight entering turn 1 when i’m downshifting from 4th to 3rd to 2nd while braking hard.
@@EEEeaAaRrRrLLLLL can't say without riding, inspecting your setup or seeing video of the issue. Could just be rider error, or shift linkage out of alignment. Maybe your shifter is setup all wrong for ergonomics

My S1000RR 2016 havn’t that switch someone took it off before I buy motorcycle two months ago. Launch control work excellent but seems to me cruise control don’t work. is that switch conneced to cruise control? Please answer!
The switch triggers when the clutch is slightly pulled in (which disables the quick shifter) and also another switch is triggered when clutch lever is fully pulled in. I never studied how it relates to cruise control.

2010 does not have the same dual clutch switch buttons. It just has the one button for full clutch pull.

Nice video however cameraman is awful. Very reluctant to do close ups so we can see exactly what you're talking about/pointing at.
It's pretty simple. Just deactivate the switch that activates when clutch is "slightly" pulled in.

This the best IDIOT solution: cancel a safety check (lever pressed or not) NEVER IS A SOLUTION.
Imagine press the lever and the controls related still working...
I've never wanted or needed to use Cruise control on track, and I always want the quickshifter to actually work on track. There is no downside to this fix.. If you have a problem with your quickshifter, your welcome to go find yourself another way to prevent the lever from being pushed in the wind.
