Lots of speculation in this review. Focusing on crazy things like having to remove feet, lack of track record. Don’t use OBS as it’s pretty naff. You should focus on the price point and consider that the price is good compared to say 790pro which has an older chip but I think does have occulink but is more expensive. In other benchmark comparisons this unit is beating out the 790pro so… it’s great value for money
Well, I think that when people consider this mini pc is not for an year or so, and the lack of track record for this budget Chinese mini pcs, is a concern that many should consider. We are not sure how reliable are these and how good is their warranty and support. Also, I think that the most damning for these mini pcs is the dust that can ghater quite fast, as the case for laptops. I tent to clean my laptop every 6 months to avoid dust build up, and this one is not that easy to do so. As for OBS,a lot of people are using it for streaming or screen recording, myself included.
There other options outher that offer Oculinkk port and the 8845hs at a lower price, although the price difference is minor, like the GMKTec K8 Plus, which makes it a lot easier to clean it as well.
I don't see the value of Mini PCs. These are like laptops, but not mobile due to the lack of batteries. And as for gaming, these don't have a dedicated GPU, so even worse. I do know that you can add a dedicated GPU by using Oculinkk, but it will be bulky
they can game reasonably well if you’re happy with using FSR and playing slightly older games. Cyberpunk can manage about 45 fps at 1080p which is plenty playable. You won’t need 60fps for most gaming - we used to be happy with 30fps. To get higher fps it requires a bit more tweaking of settings, ie disable motion blur. Start by using steam deck settings at 1080p and then tweak from there. I’ve just bought one of these and it’s fine for bringing my steam catalogue to the TV without bulk and unsightly noisy boxes. I may even try an eGPU via the 2nd m2 slot if that will work

The value of them is with the processor you get and the ability to upgrade for the price. How many laptops can you find with 32gb ram and ryzen hs chip at this price
It depends on the use. Myself, I do backend development (Docker, Java, etc..), and I have replaced my desktop for one of these. Upgraded at max, (96gb ram, 4tera m2)... No need of gpu. It takes very little space in my desk, low noise and good relationship prix-features.
What are yout thoughts about Mini PCs? Let me know in the comments below...
I consider buying MiniPC for FGC games. Can you perhaps include Tekken 8 benchmarks in your tests to verify if the device achieves 60 FPS.
I can tell you that it needs a lot of twerking, but I don't have that game to back it out. It is not suited for new games as the GPU is quite slow
