    Got it 2 wks ago.
    It was great.
    But it seems to be defective.
    Devices connected to the USB4-C ports keep disconnecting any of the different USB4 external SSD drives I've plugged into it but only with the USB4 ports. I'll return it for a replacement. Sucks after I spent about 5hrs setting it up the way I liked it with Launchbox.
    I can't wait for the UM990 series if they have plans for that with the next 880M or higher chipset.

    😢 Its only problem is the same as all mini PCs: Its integrated GPU is still stuck at the 780m and no matter how powerful the CPU is, as long as they don't improve that, these mini PCs will be stagnant. 😢

      Agree with u, but this mini pc has oculink, anyway some of these mini pc's performing better with 64gigs of ram, more ram you add more power you get in this case, but of crz they are stacking with 780M so differencies are really relatives!

      780m with dual channel DDR5 is plenty powerful for many older games.

      @tebin That's been my pet peeve.

      ...And no, I don't buy these mini PCs to be connecting external GPUs to them or anything for that matter except for the minimum requirements such as a display, & a power supply to them. All else is a wireless device for me. I want them to keep the footprint as small as possible with the most built-in exceptional working internal devices without turning these mini PCs into a small fire hazard brick when gaming with AAA titles.

    @Retro Gaming Guy What about Switch, PS4, XBOX and 360 performance? Would love to see a longer more detailed review. Were the PC games being played natively or streaming? If native, what kind of settings were used on those games shown? What kind of fps were you getting on each of the emulators? Would love to see this kind of info in your reviews as it's a better indicator of performance.

    • @lexlopez15
      @lexlopez15 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Can you elaborate? What is wine and why would you need it? These PC's come with windows 11 normally so you wouldn't need anything else to play windows games...why would you need a partition or external drive to run any games? This is not a Linux machine... You simply open your games in windows and you're done. Provided you have enough space on your internal drive...which could be anywhere from 500gb to 1tb...that should be plenty for 10 or 12 modern triple A games at least.

    • @OfficialChaseBrogan
      @OfficialChaseBrogan  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Not really. It depends on the game. Some Xbox will work off moderately powerful PCs and some really need the high end option. Early og xbox games like halo combat evolved aren't difficult to emulate but some later titles can be way harder to get running smooth.

      @@OfficialChaseBrogan wow. I didn't realize how varied the requirements could be for the library of 1 console.
      Then again back in the day I imagine there were SNES titles that were more difficult than others to emulate. The last time I was actually into doing this stuff Napster hadn't been sued yet and Emulation was just a novelty due to how cheap actual hardware was. These days it's Far too expensive to do something like rebuild a stollen collection that started over 30 years ago. Thanks for the info \ response.

    Another expensive bottle neck useless mini pc. Man people r really pushing these things when the viewers don’t know they can do the same performance for 60-80 now. Let alone most of these other games and systems will require a dedicated video card to run other games. U can get a full desktop with dedicated gpu for $400 and get more out of it. Why encourage people to buy something that’s a pointless bottle neck

    • @lexlopez15
      @lexlopez15 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What do you mean by 60-80? Dollars?? Highly unlikely...the reason mini PC's have become so popular it's because they don't take up a lot of room on your desk...I for one avoided buying a PC because of the mere size of them. Whether it was on top of the desk or underneath I don't want a behemoth PC just to surf the net and play a few games every now and then...
      when these mini PC's started popping up I immediately gravitated towards them. 1st with the raspberry pi and now with mini PC's....they are getting better and better every year as technology improves....
      now, I won't even consider a desktop PC even for $300...I just look at the latest mini PC's should I feel a need to upgrade...and should i require more power than I look for one with an oculink port...mini PC's are the future...if you don't think so then just look at the sales numbers compared to full desktops...not everybody needs or wants the raw power they provide. That's where mini PC's come in.

      A typical desktop computer consumes 40 to 50 watts at idle. A mini PC consumes about 5 to 10 watts at idle. In summer, all the heat generated from electrical devices, assuming you use AC, it must be removed by an even greater amount of energy from the AC. If you do not use AC, then your gaming PC will make the room hotter.
