I'm glad I finally found this video. It is exactly what I needed. Everything else was leaving the plug in etc.. I have a Cloud Energy 60 Ah on the way. Thanks for sharing.
thank you I just installed mine yesterday and figured out what you were saying. Now I need to figure out how to do the 12v reducer so all my factory lights work
Mr. Dean,I have done exactly what you have done here but the cart still will not move, any ideas-only thing different on mine is the obc far as mounting position and shape still would think it works in same fashion-all trap controller high speed motor with lithium battery with onboard charger thanks for any and all help
I cut and hooked the yel wire to the B- and the cart runs great now. However the reverse buzzer is on in forward and reverse even with the key off. But not while in neutral. any ideas why
Hi Keith. I think the answer to your question is yes. It needs to be grounded. It makes the cart think it’s ok to charge without it. In my case I’m not using the charging port. If you take the fuse out by your charging port and leave the port in place it should be ok. But, if you remove the plug like I did you have to ground it or it won’t work like it should. I’m not sure what you are planning on doing for a charger.
@@DoItWithDean I did. It’s performed great. I do have an issue with it not showing the correct percentage left. The included display and the phone app will show 66% left but the cart loses all power. Then both will switch to zero. Contacted them and they said to do at least 5 charges and see if it corrects itself. They responded right away and told me if it didn’t they would send a brand new battery. Good folks to deal with.
At the end of your video. Your showing what is all connected to your negative terminal. Your linked video pops up with misic and blocks your audio. What were you saying to the negative? Main ground, battery charger ground, and what elae? Thanks!
@@tinysparky which connector do you mean? If you are talking about the plug to the obc then yes, you can leave it attached if you want. I leave the OBC in place and just clip that yellow wire then put a ring terminal on it to the b- on the controller.

I added a video of how I made 12v step down converter, check it out.
Thanks

It did help. Thanks so much.

Hi Dean, If I remove the OBC do I still need to put Yellow wire on B negative terminal. If I leave it in do I leave it plugged into other end? Thanks

Looking at adding this battery to my 2015 ezgo. Everything still going good. Looks to be a good battery
Yes. I have purchased a second one now for my other cart. Works well , great range, lots of get up and go.
@@DoItWithDean thanks for the response. Just ordered
Did you get your battery installed? How is it?

Sorry, the third thing is the negative for my 48v to 12v converter.
Message me on Facebook and I’ll send you a diagram of how I wired mine in.
Whats your FB, i'd appreciate the diagram if you willing to share! Thanks!
I didn't see your channel on Facebook. So you leave the connector attached and cut yellow wire before it enters the obc and ring it to the b-.
