I just used a jumper pin on my cart. Just unplug the wire harness and bend a paper clip into a U shape and plug it into the necessary holes of the carts wire harness. Been running my car like this for the last five years with no issues.
Indeed it will. It will work until the paper clip falls out. Also be aware that the paper clip is a conductor. If it arcs on anything it's not supposed to touch, it can cause damage to major components on your golf car. Our video covers a more permanent way to accomplish the same task.
@@RevolutionGolfCars I did put a piece of heat shrink on the exposed part of the paper clip to prevent any possible arcing or short circuiting. It fits in the hole quite snug. I've been running my car like this for five years hitting speeds of 50mph + and has remained secure. Just thought I would mention it if some people don't want to cut their wire harness to their OBC if it is still good. Happy carting!
David, I have a 97 powerdrive plus. I’m interested in converting to lithium. What battery do you recommend, and what do you sell the kit for? What is the easiest way to bypass the OBC on this cart? There is no plug near the OBC, so I am confused how to bypass the OBC. Thanks
@@douglasmorris2743 the cart will work if you do the bypass as shown in this video. The process where we connect the blue and white wire together is what makes the car able to run after removing the OBC. If yours still isn’t running, you’ve got a separate issue.
Yes, but it's an entirely different procedure because it's a series-drive system and not a Regen 2 or an IQ like the one in the video. Please contact us during normal business hours and I'll be happy to explain it to you. We do not yet have a video on this.
