Funny how most of the people who are labeled "unmotivated, lazy, having small dreams" because they work at McDonald, Walmart, ect...are now essential workers working at the front line to keep the economy going.
And the “motivated, hustlers, big dreamers” are unemployed, high schoolers, or pyramid scheme scammed people.

And also how a lot of them are also the ones who actually do end up doing something with their lives and saying things like "I started working as a frier guy in Mcdonald's and now I ended up here" like, I don't understand why they're belittled. A job is a job. All of them have perks and all of them have downs. I bet it's not fucking easy working at Mcdonald's: they work long hours, get paid little, have to wake up early, some have to do all-night shifts for those open 24 hours, end up smelling like shit all day, standing all day as well. Like, I bet if you put some entrepeneur who works in a fancy buisiness in ny or whatever, put them one day behind a mcdonald's counter and they'll be complaining about everything

Alot of these are witless, but I actually really like the "yet" one. I had a therapist tell me something of the sort. As a perfectionist with depression with the tendency to beat up on myself for not getting something right away, I recognize that it does take strength to walk away and return to the problem later. With less stress and a fresh start, you are more likely to succeed.
I say this to my clients when they start learning new skills like clicker training; it takes time to learn them so don't get disheartened if you don't get it instantly.

What motivational/inspirational posts are like: “Work hard and you’ll be a billionaire”, “Hustle hard”, Belittling minimum wage workers, idolizing and obsessing over billionaires who exploit the working class and were born with a lot of privilege

Yeah, they act as if what you get out of something is directly proportional to what you get out of it, while completely ignoring the nuance of there potentially being diminishing returns or some sort of plateau, not to mention how it affects every part of your life outside of your fiscal success. Also, it's not as if you can just keep putting more effort into something forever and get an infinitely increasing amount of profit from it as a result. It reminds me of the girl on twitch that said that, if you don't have five dollars, you should be working more, as if you can always just work more forever.

To be completely fair the whole "I can't do this....yet" is really useful when you have just all the ADHD and the sheer massive boatload of extra criticism and negativity dump on you. Definitely been helping me the past year or so with staying motivated and not getting discouraged or frustrated. Its not ground breaking even in the slightest but even that can be a game changer when you start framing things like that
Helps with anxiety too. I can't handle this... yet. But I am getting better bit by bit

Kurtis is right. My mom got a new tacoma in 2003 and that mofo is still driving great. Its got over 250k miles on it, and she drove it doing a rural newspaper route for like 5 years and hauled bulk recycling at the county recycling center for years after that. No major problems with the truck ever. That's the end of my Toyota rant lol

that frog pelican picture reminded me of how we used to have an artist come to my old elementary school every year for the younger kids. They would pack like 4 classes in the library and we would watch him make airbrush paintings for about an hour. Sometimes he would make a story to go with it or ask us what he should make but it was usually us watching him paint while he tried his hardest to say something interesting. One time it was an oversized bird eating a pizza and another time it was a human-bug hybrid thing. I vividly remember it because his style was so disturbing but I remember loving it when I was younger-
