    That is insane to change a belt. I won't be doing one of these for anyone as a private job 😂

    Thanks for all that information, what condition was the belt in, surely they must last longer than 4 years??

      Thanks for watching. Yes belt was just fine. I daily my car and haven't tracked it. So no crazy stress for long periods

    Looks Like A Huge Headache To Work On, Comparing To The Simple Old 2.0 BIalbero Engine's.

    Thanks for the video but it's missing essential steps unfortunately. I'm not sure why cutting out the part where the bracket/plate was removed and the actual belt removing (the whole point of this video) is missing as well.

      Thanks for watching, it wasn't intended to be a step by step tutorial. Just a bit of an inside look at the job. Couldn't capture everything unfortunately. Appreciate the comment though.

    How many miles were on the engine, and how many on the belt when you decided to replace it? How did the original belt look once you got it off? What prompted the decision to replace it? Was it done at a recommended interval? Was it showing deterioration? making noise? Thanks for the great video! At the moment, this feels like the serpentine belt might be the Stelvio Quad purchase deal breaker for me!

      Recommend interval is at 36k miles believe it or not. I did it at like 40k. Everything looked fine. Waist of time and money in my opinion. As well as my mechanic.

      Yikes! 36k? Even at 80k miles a maintenance project like that sounds ridiculous. 😥 Thank you again for the great explanation.

      I’m doing one at the moment how did you get the tensioner back to get the belt on

    • @alphaautoadventures
      @alphaautoadventures  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@birchy_94birch20 I was just filming while my mechanic was doing the work. I remember it being a process. Had to bent the tensioner back or something to slip the belt over....but I don't recall 100% sorry.

    I’m not doing this again in 4 years. The belt looked new. This is Alfa being way too cautious. Plus they designed this engine very stupidly for maintence. Would love to speak to the engineers and bean counters and ask why. Poor design . An exotic design doesn’t have to mean completely expensive maintenance that could have been avoided by spending another 10 minutes on design

    Hi, i heard that you need a special tool to mount the belt? is that correct?

    • @ceo20561
      @ceo20561 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is a special tool available but you really don't need it
