    Just started watching and noticed the "get to SGN early!" advice. You're not kidding! And Hanoi is just as bad! Those two airports are modern, but one has to jump through two or three separate and time-consuming hoops to board. Example? Arrived at SGN for a flight to Singapore on Tuesday, February 14. Got to the airport at 05:45 and didn't emerge from "the hoops" until 08:05! Ridiculous!

      Thanks for sharing. Yeah SGN is way too small for the amount of flights they operate unfortunately

      @@aviation1337 btw, you had a typical experience with Priority Pass. I went with Dragon Pass last year after having similar experiences with PP.

    Very detailed video! I'm trying to determine if I want to be loyal and stick with SkyTeam or fly premium with Singapore Airlines.
    Was wine provided at least?
    Edited to add:
    If I go with China Air. I will stop in TPE with a terminal change. Would I need to recollect my checked bags before going over to DPS??

    • @aviation1337
      @aviation1337  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your comment. Wine is provided if you ask for it in their PE. Usually with a ticket like yours you don't need to recollect your checked bags if your journey is is 1 booking. Premium with SIA sounds very good, I'd go with that

    Nice review, I think I will skip China airlines, and fly with Singapore airlines or EVA air, you get much better service. Don’t think I will fly in or out of SGN airport.

    I know the flight attendants were wearing face masks, so how would you know if they were smiling or not? Perhaps they are not the problem.

    • @aviation1337
      @aviation1337  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Even if they wear mask it's not hard to tell if they are genuinely smiling or not

      @@TinnekeVDE you obviously don't understand service since you can serve your customers well without a fake smile. There's a difference between a cold stare and a gentle/subtle smile. If that's too hard then it might be a good idea to change career and do something else

    Why would the cabin crew close the window blinds on a daytime flight? If they close them on a night flight I open them right after so they can see me doing it. My seat, my window.

    • @aviation1337
      @aviation1337  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree fully, I think there are two possible reasons. 1, they want to keep the cabin dark so the pax sleep = less work for them. 2. The cabin would be very bright since the flight ETD was 11 am with no clouds.
      I've noticed that when the weather is more cloudy the crew tend to keep the blinds open , at least on VNA. In this case the weather was sunny and extremely bright though

    I don't understand why these seat review videos all begin with useless and irrelevant shots of the check-in area, the waiting areas, the jetway, and then more useless shots of the rollback, taxi and takeoff. All of that is the same everywhere and has nothing to do with the airline in question. That's not what we tune in to see. We want to know what the airline product is like! But this video takes five minutes to see inside the airplane itself. Thank God for the scroll forward function

      Hi Richard, I think most people including myself who make these kinds of videos love everything about aviation. I want to give the viewer the full experience of flying, not just filming the actual seat etc. It's to give the whole journey some context. Thanks for your input though

    Hi, I am also flying with China airlines from SGN-TPE in a few days. I also bought the premium economy class but mine is A359. I want to ask about, does the PP lounge pass comes with ur premium economy or is it sth else ?

    • @aviation1337
      @aviation1337  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Thanks for your comment. There's no lounge access with the premium economy ticket unfortunately. If you have PP, then you'll be using the Apricot Lounge. I can recommend seat 31K ( bulkhead ) or 32K ( normal seat ), since you'll most likely make a right turn after takeoff and you can enjoy the views over Saigon. It's also nice upon descend into TPE since you'll see the mountains etc along the way. Hope you'll have a great flight
