Thank you for bringing up what the jet looks more like, and don't worry about the mistake. It's a very common thing for anyone outside of the Aviation fanbase to mistake two jets for each other. Good video too and I agree with your tierlist. Good thing about this "what's the best" is that none of these toys are objectively bad. They all have something for everyone
Well, by now everyone knows that the original toy for Jet/Skyfire was a Macross Valkyrie. The Valkyrie was not supposed to look any particular jet, because fictionally it was a new kind of jet, not a "robot in disguise." But you're right, everyone who was into jets in the 80s (I was alive in the 80s!) could tell that the Valkyrie design was inspired by the F-14 Tomcat. It's the variable-sweep wings. I actually love this feature, because it means the r/l F-14 is a teensy bit like a transforming mech (like a convertible is a teensy bit like a transforming car), AND because the wing sweep is an integral part of the transformation. The Valkyrie transformation is 40 years old now, and it's still the best jet transformation ever! It has zero kibble in both modes, a great silhouette as a robot, and it's all so LOGICAL. The jet engines end up in the feet, so the thing can fly in robot--sorry, Battloid--mode, the wings can pop out in Battloid--sorry, I mean Battroid--mode to deploy the missiles, and the pilot cockpit ends up in the front of the chest right where it belongs! Every time someone tries to explain away ugly, extremely non-aerodynamic robot junk on the bottom of a jet TF by saying you just have to do with jets, I think of this thing and say NOPE! This and Kingdom Cyclonus.
While I adore the design and aesthetics of Generations Jetfire, Siege is the best representation of Jetfire / Skyfire for G1 looks and designs, even when he deviates from full of accuracy looks. But my personal favorites are still the glorious fat space chicken that is Armada Jetfire that turns into a pair of skinny pants for Oppy Poppy and the absolute bro that is the Aussie accented Cybertron Jetfire.

It's T30 Jetfire for me personally, mostly on looks, as, when it comes to Jetfire, my brain tells me "Screen accuracy is stupid!", especially when it results in a toy way too big to interact with others well, that looks like a man in a cardboard box costume, that transforms into a cardboard box with the words 'jet plane' written on the side. ;)

Crazy Right? Just be careful if you try it, they are not the easiest things to get out, and I don't want people snapping them because of me bringing this to their attention.
I TOTALLY understand that your "the best" is based on the closest to G1 so I get & I understand that as I do, u choose Siege as the winner...I jus want to add that for me Siege blows the comp away because its actually based on SIEGE and nails that while also kind of nailing G1...that in itself amazes me because fans of both are happy...again, this isn't a dispute its jus my 2 cents on how much I LOVE Siege Jetfire...as a CHUG collector who only started collecting with Siege, Jetfire is my showcase figure...so it makes me very happy that he beat a MP scale figure in anyway lol...
Well it's typically based on what's the Classic interpretation of the character(Cause best is debatable) so for most that will mean G1, so it's just about the same. But yeah, I'm happy to have given him the win, I will say it's close, but I do think the Siege pulls it off. And the Siege does scale, acceptably to an MP scaled collection.
I have the FansToys Pheonix Skyfire Jetfire And it's built solid with ratchet arms and legs no droop and posable I Absolutely Love it!!!! I Love the weight of it !!! and also it's solid in Jet mode No complaints it looks to scale with My other Masterpiece Transformers Optimus Prowler Wheeljack Ironhide Ratchet BumbleBee Cup
I feel the smoothness of the Fanstoys is part of why the nosecone segmentation stands out so much more at a glance. It's the contrast. Here's a question given the parenthetical inflection on "that I own", are there any Skyfires in existence you wish you owned either for this The Best review?
I think the Iron Factory would be important. The G1 would be cool for propriety's sake. And the classics one is one a lot of people wanted to see. And this list will become out dated when the Official MP drops. So yeah there's a lot I wish I had And yeah I think you are right. The Fact that there's almost no texture on the surface of this doesn't help it.
@@PerspectiveEnd I totally agree with the potential masterpiece coming out after the Siege, it will likely be an improved design of that direction. I only have two masterpieces, and of the five characters I will chase any and all strong entries for, it's unlikely they'll ever get through the red tape to make an MP Jazz, since that'd involve getting licensing from Porcha and Volkswagen. Though aside from the underside kibble and shoulders, not sure what save a new head detailing they'd improve or advance.
I don't know Mirage is going to be a Parcha in the next movie, so who knows. And I don't think the MP looks like it's going to be an improvement of the Siege.
I broke the rist guns for siege trying to separate them like you did the peg snap but its not a big deal I fixed it with super glue just can't separate it ever now. This happened 2 months ago so you are free from blame lol.
The siege/G1/classics jetfire are the three that are my top 3. This combiner wars one just doesn’t look like the character it’s supposed to represent, mainly because it’s just a repainted seeker.
@@PerspectiveEnd classics jetfire was years ahead in its design, the first to pay homage to both the toy and the cartoon character and used inspiration from the dreamwave comics that were part of the resurgence of G1 inspired designs in the early 2000s. The context of the figure adds a lot of value to it.
@@PerspectiveEnd say what you will about Pat Lee's business practices and how he treated his staff (terrible), I do credit him and Dreamwave for bringing back excitement around G1 characters. Well I know in updates there can put jetfire and what do you mean about “that was basically a dirty word to you”? And are you going to do a video about the new transformers like jolt and sidewipe and the others one
Finally got my hands on a siege Springer but I didn't expect the figure to be a fiddly mess of a transformation and the legs just are able to hold posses. I do love the figure but I just don't want to transform the damn thing.
I know exactly what you mean, the legs could have been cool if they were tolerance better, and they didn't have that hinge that gets in the way of the transformations.
Well, so that's how the jet/skyfire week end's.. Nice 😁 👍. And as for the question of the video.. Since the "insert this character name here" week is over. Did you ever considered maybe reviewing any older transformers figure that isn't from "recent" time?
@@PerspectiveEnd well, I was thinking about figures that are "more or less" older or relist before "Combiner Wars". Since those are the oldest figures that you had reviewed so far (minus the BW Mcdonadl's) Or put it better... If you had time to spare (outside of regular relisis), or been interested. Would review any official or 3thparty figure "more or less" from BEFORE 2015?
Well there should be a 2015 video actually comming this up coming week. And absolutely I'm not opposed to reviewing stuff from before 2015 it's just I've not collected much from before that Timeframe outside of my Childhood collection that probably stopped around 2003. Like I said at the start of this week, I don't know that I need to be doing a themed week every month, it's just something I was doing cause I wanted to. I'll be glad to just do what ever for a while.
Def time to update this "Whats the best Sky/Jetfire." video. :D
You are indeed right. Don't worry, it's comming.
Great video 👌👍🤙🤟✌👏🇲🇽⭐
Thank you very much.
JetSky FireFire Yesssss!
I suppose you can choose to read it that way.
Lol
The siege and fanstoys figures could have been it’s own comparison video, like when you compared the generations and earthrise arcee.
Yeah really they could have but I mean like 1/3rd of the video is basically that already so it might as well be.
Well yeah.
You know what's funny the fact that HASTAK as as of now technically capped off the week of Jet / Skyefires : (Shock wave and Dinobot) with the reveal of SG Skyfire
I didn't think of that, but you are right.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah all this really means is you still have impeccable timing good sir also you don't still do the whole birthday shout-out thing do you
@@fireninja1972 I mean I try not to since it the more I do it the more people will ask me and eventually every video will have like 3 at the beginning.
But then again I have very little will power when trying to resist my audiences requests.
@@PerspectiveEnd Sorry to ask man it's cool it's a bit to last minute and also I forget your will is as strong as that wall you destroyed so clearly it's not made of Sterner stuff. No offense sorry😅
@@fireninja1972 Thank you for being understanding.
3:58 love that transition!
Glad you enjoyed it, I was proud of the idea.
i just got siege jetfire great figure
I'm glad to hear I did not steer you wrong.
He's known as Jetfire, Skyfire, VF-1S valkirye, veritech fighter, Dirty wretched a** jetfire, half a safeguard jetfire, rivals with flying shark jetfire, Decepticon jetfire, G2 decepticon jetfire, Prime's pants jetfire, Australia- nebulan accent jetfire, SG starscream, G.I. joe plane with similarities at SDCC, and comic character who was originally controlled by a teenager jetfire
FREE ENGAGEMENT!!!
I hate Sundays as much as Mondays, yes no one asked but whatever.
But I upload on Sunday's. That has to make it a little better right?
Yeah it does.
@@jazajamaludin Glad to hear it.
2:19,u know I was about to read Transformers Stormbringer and I thought to myself for Jetfire design where did I see that ,here it is.
Yep the early IDW Jetfire stuff was based on this figure.
God don’t erase it it’s so humors that TH-cam couldn’t see the accident
I don't plan on it since you guys like it so much.
I did not know the sieges arm guns sepperated into shields and small guns that is awesome
Crazy Right? Just be careful if you try it, they are not the easiest things to get out, and I don't want people snapping them because of me bringing this to their attention.
I have a headcannon: Jetfire is the name of a set of drones led by Skyfire.
That would work yeah.
I don't know why hasbro didn't put this as a masterpiece figure
Yeah they should have just upgraded this and sold it as the MP.
Finally the skifyres war is coming
Only one shall survive.
PRAISE THE FIRE IN THE SKY
That was actually my mental logic for the praise the Sun thing.
I was busy yesterday but think that siege Jetfire comes out on top.
Yes, but it is a Narrow Victory.
Add it to playlist.
Can't wait to see who's the next review 👀
I think you will in enjoy it.
@@PerspectiveEnd alright 😳
I wish you got the Classic Jetfire as well. It may be outdated as all heck, but it's a fun toy nonetheless.
Alot of people really wish I had one of those for this video, so I wish I could have covered it for you guys.
I have the FansToys Pheonix Skyfire Jetfire
And it's built solid with ratchet arms and legs no droop and posable
I Absolutely Love it!!!!
I Love the weight of it !!!
and also it's solid in Jet mode
No complaints
it looks to scale with My other Masterpiece Transformers
Optimus
Prowler
Wheeljack
Ironhide
Ratchet
BumbleBee
Cup
It's definitely really good, I just think it has a few draw backs, that the Siege doesn't suffer.
It seems my predictions were indeed accurate!
I will say that it was closer than you might think.
Im happy that the siege skyfire is the better one because I really want it
I did win, but it was still very close. Even I didn't know the way it was going to go.
If you want the new Shockwave video to be watched but still have the old one there, you could unlist the old one but put it in a playlist
That could work.
So yeah there's a lot I wish I had
And yeah I think you are right.
@@PerspectiveEnd Don't forget about the X2 Toys one that's not only a Headmaster, it's also completely compatible with Titans Return stuff.
The Fanstoys Jetfire looks like Rita Tushingham.
I might buy Thrilling 30 Skyfire, customize it and make an awesome looking jet. If your wondering why, I am doin a shelf for vehicle scaling.
And you think this jet would scale well?
To be clear this was already retooled into the CW Starscream.
I don’t care how big they would have to be I just want a transformers line that’ll fit my 3.75 in figures so I can make a epic crossover diorama
I mean if your like me and you want Skyfire to be the Giantest of the Giants either of these will fit. You'll have to send pics of that Diaroma man.
I broke the rist guns for siege trying to separate them like you did the peg snap but its not a big deal I fixed it with super glue just can't separate it ever now. This happened 2 months ago so you are free from blame lol.
For a second there I was scared. I hope it doesn't happen to anyone because of what I just said in this video.
What I do unpeg the backpack from thrusters is I just do the legs first and when you slide them out it usually goes super easily
On the Siege? Yeah I try to do that as well but it doesn't work every time for me, some times it goes great and some times its stuck as can be.
I knew Siege was the best one!!!!
Yes but it was close.
If he looks evil the rumored sg version will look good
Going by the 86 Blurr that will be accurate.
Fantabulously AWESOME video, man. And you're right, FansToys just ain't that much better than the Siege...at least, not 3x the money and up better!!
Exactly. The Siege wins on value alone.
Nah fam we all know that ROTF jetfire was the best version of any jetfire
I'm not even going to play along with the joke. Saying ROTF anything is the best is like a dirty word to me.
Hey perspective they did it and I love it
The Shattered Glass Version?
@@PerspectiveEnd yes it looks so good
I'm waiting for Takara's MP Skyfire to, hopefully, take the win.
I don't see it happening, but who knows, MAYBE it could.
Been watching your channel since transformer siege is a mehterpiece
Really? That might make you my oldest viewer. Thanks for being with me so long.
Your welcome
And thank you for making my life better
If Planet X made a fall of cybertron sky fire would you buy it?
Maybe... I was never too enthralled by his design in those games.
Jet sky fire fire
You are not the first person to joke about that.
What are your opinions on Buzzworthy Bumblbee origin Bumblbee ?
It looks cool and I'm excited.
The siege/G1/classics jetfire are the three that are my top 3. This combiner wars one just doesn’t look like the character it’s supposed to represent, mainly because it’s just a repainted seeker.
Actually the Seekers were Repainted off him, also I don't see what everyone's on about with the classics, that thing looks like a Dinosaur to me.
@@ericliu8488 I could say that the context also Detracts from it considering Pat Lee and all.
@@PerspectiveEnd say what you will about Pat Lee's business practices and how he treated his staff (terrible), I do credit him and Dreamwave for bringing back excitement around G1 characters. Times were different back then, no one had any good ideas on Transformers and he was definitely responsible for getting people excited about them again.
Yes. What i wanted to win
Glad I could make your hopes come true.
3:25 I disagree
All star is the greatest music ever created
U can fight me irl
It will be a battle for the ages.
You forgot the best skyfire the angry birds one one step trasformation and no kibble
I just tried looking up Angry Birds Jetfire and couldn't find any thing, but I will say that was basically a dirty word to me.
Well I know in updates there can put jetfire and what do you mean about “that was basically a dirty word to you”? And are you going to do a video about the new transformers like jolt and sidewipe and the others one
@@atomix4957 Yes I plan to do a looking forward video soon.
As for the dirty word. Angry Birds Transformers being included on a WTB.
@@PerspectiveEnd oh ok
Finally got my hands on a siege Springer but I didn't expect the figure to be a fiddly mess of a transformation and the legs just are able to hold posses. I do love the figure but I just don't want to transform the damn thing.
I know exactly what you mean, the legs could have been cool if they were tolerance better, and they didn't have that hinge that gets in the way of the transformations.
@@PerspectiveEnd I'm trying to get siege Springer just to have the original movie crew..
It's a good figure, it's just the legs are a mess.
@@PerspectiveEnd Rip. If I get it for my birthday I will be prepared.
I really wanted the fans toys Phoenix at one point while I already had the siege jetfire, glad I don’t pay for overpriced crap like that
It's not bad and I do like it. Just cause it's not best doesn't mean it's not good. But it has it's Faults.
How do you feel about the newly revealed Shattered Glass Jetfire?
Looks pretty good, like the new helmet, wish it had the Grey Chest though.
That’s some weird shit with the shockwave video
I know right, when I figured it out I knew I had to share what happened.
Those shoulder tho
On which figure?
Have you heard about the beast wars ravage 2 pack. And the cybertronian buzzworthy bumblebee
Yep, seen both those. Love the Bumblebee, am Really interested in the Ravage.
@@PerspectiveEnd the best bumblebee, better than masterpiece?
Well, so that's how the jet/skyfire week end's.. Nice 😁 👍.
And as for the question of the video..
Since the "insert this character name here" week is over.
Did you ever considered maybe reviewing any older transformers figure that isn't from "recent" time?
I mean didn't I do that last video? Or are you referring to something else?
@@PerspectiveEnd well, I was thinking about figures that are "more or less" older or relist before "Combiner Wars".
Since those are the oldest figures that you had reviewed so far (minus the BW Mcdonadl's)
Or put it better...
I'd be happy to review those too if I didn't have more pressing videos to make.
While the Siege version is pound for pound a better figure, I would never have it in an MP display, regardless of its height.
I think it fits an MP Display Ok, but I do get that concern. And to be fair it's not like the FT lost by that much, so if you are good with the cost of it, it will fit that shelf for you and only slightly not be the best.
like i said on the siege jetfire review he's legit a MP figure all hasbro would need to do is reduce some of the detail on the surface and increase his size just a tiny bit and boom and hell even now its a mp figure to the point i have it on my mp autobots shelf on my mp shelves and it scales perfectly in my opinion but thats just due to the original shows inconsistent scales (not talking about mass shifting) he's even slightly taller then my reximus prime which again i think is scaled perfectly
Yeah I totally get you, he was taller or shorter depending on the shot in G1.
And I totally agree as well, he would make a good MP if they'd just retool him a little.
I am sad that I did not see my name but glad that their is a new video hope you make more
Oh sorry about that, youtube never informed me of your response. So did you mean like as a image in the background or were you asking for a shout out.
Just a image that and your the best also I change my name to keep the joke going with all your fans doing stop motion but I do them now because of you so thank you again
@@colderthanice7457 Well I'm glad i was able to give you the passion, yeah I can fit you in the background of the video as an Easter egg.
I forgot to do it in Wednesday's video so I'll do it in Friday's video. Sorry about that.
Ooo I was searching and I couldn’t find it and got sad but okay
Yeah im going to get seige jetfire
It's a good one and I think you will like it.
JET SKY FIRE FIRE
I suppose you can chose to read it like that.
