IceCranberry yes, his videos are super short and to the point. And Bosnianbill is another good one. Warning ⚠️ after watching you will never trust another lock hahaha 😆
Here's the thing locks are a deterrent, that's all, when I was a kid my dad would tell me locks keep people honest, if a thief wants it bad enough they will find a way.
It depends on the lock. Some locks are so hard to open. Its not worth it to a thief. I own a lock that would require power tools to even think about opening. Unless you have the fancy lock pick that lpl has. Lol
I love how real your videos are man, it's like I'm watching my drunk uncle do magic tricks at Thanksgiving but its every week. I love blooper reels and this is like one big blooper.. actually I like the channel a lot, and have a weird sense of humor
I love your videos! This one was quite amusing since my kids and I are all into locksport. I was so happy for you when you picked that master lock in ~39 seconds. You could rake any Master lock like those open even faster using a wave rake or something similar with just an hour or so of practice. I've been making picks and things for over 30 years BTW. Keep the fun stuff coming!
Nope, 4:27 when he holds the padlock in his hand and goes after it with the drill. Not even thinking about safety squints when wrenching the locks, but that point I was oh hell no, bad bad idea.
@@elizdavidson And then firing the crossbow at a hard metal object from a few feet away inside his garage. That was was rather buttock clenching to watch too.
I agree. We may see a Part 3 when he's thought about it some more. I appreciate his lack of slickness. He may as well do a live show. Quote: "Oh come ON, man!" We don't get that from anyone else.
Wrench method: second method only. Drill: you've never done that before, have you? You're supposed to drill up the keyway in order to destroy the shearline. Also, the other one may have had anti-drill inserts. And even if you manage to drill out the core, you still usually have to turn the actuator. The fact is, you don't have to bypass a Master Lock, as you can generally pick them with a feather. The only thing most of them has going for them is they tend to be very **physically** tough. Just not terribly secure. Picking: do yourself a favour, use a rake.
I would have loved if you locked something up with those padlocks then tested the weaknesses, since locking them up would add extra obstacles with what's in the lock loop
the double wrench method works better if you go between the shackle and the body of the lock, most of these locks rely on a very small brass pin to lock the shackle in place and its way easier to overcome than the steel casing
Back in highschool (so like 2 years ago) I was entering the code on my combination lock and it wasn’t working. Luckily I was in automotive class so I pulled 2 wrenches outta my book bag and popped that combo lock open. When I opened the locker it was the wrong locker. Mine was next to it. I entered the code again and it worked obviously😂 in my defense it was the first day back so I didn’t have my locker number memorized yet.
I worked for a locksmith company for a bit. you're supposed to use a small drill bit drill through the pins, so the rest of it falls through and the Tumblr should just slide out.
There are some padlocks where the shackle is completely shielded inside a metal housing, meant to prevent anyone using bolt cutters. and generally pretty thick case. I think those would take a lot of effort to break. I have heard some a trick using duster sprays to freeze the locks and they break with a simple blow with a hammer. I've also heard that most padlocks can be defeated with a good strike with a hammer.
He was holding the lock with his hand. And all I'm thinking is "thats kinda dangerous, buddy." Also the reason the first one was so hard to drill through was because of what the lock was attached to.
I rested a big screwdriver (or use any metal object like a fork handle) across the lock under the hook and whacked the screwdriver with a hammer and the hook detached. Out camping with my kids in a motorhome and got a flat at the secluded site. My daughter had forgotten to replace the set of keys for the lock securing the spare tire mounted at the back door. Two good whacks and it released and this was not a cheap lock either. Locks only stop those without any tools with them.
Tyler, I'm cry for your concrete anchor :'( you had me so curious with the "speed dial" I had to watch this like 10yo video on how the mechanisms worked for it lol
I always find drilling out locks enjoyable. Idk why it seems to satisfy my inner cave man. If the pins are out and it still won't turn, jam a flat head in it and brute force the tumbler. Sometimes, a burr will hold a single pin in place, but it can be sheered with a little force.
So I've seen a lot of these wrench method videos...but usually theres a chain pr something going through it so theres not enough room to get two wrenches in. I'd like to see a video where they do it in a real life application instead of on a table
The one made of stacked steel plates can be defeated by nothing but a hammer hit down ward on the lock body and they pop right open done that when I lost the key to my shed
Ahhh man, those joystick locks. Back in highschool, I could open any locker with a joystick lock because they all came with the same code and most students didn’t bother to change it (if you even can). I believe it was double click, down, down, left, right? It’s been years but man that’s nostalgic. Edit: ah it’s in the video gg me
