One of the best sounding exhaust systems I have ever heard. I would get this exact set up in a heartbeat if it wasn't so damn expensive. Oh well looks like I will keep my straight pipes for now :)
I hear ya, yeah I thought that also but numerous people (including me) have bought the corsa black line on 2004-2008 silverados and they work fine. I just ordered mine not long ago and will get here tomorrow hopefully. Herd from numerous muffler shops and engine builders it will be fine because the corsa db is a straight through design. All you do is weld the factory pipe right onto the corsa muffler flush, no need for new piping or bs adapters. $20-$30 for a shop to weld it up for you.
The exhaust was a whole kit from the y-pipe back. Now Corsa sells a muffler seperate from their cat-backs. Albeit its not the same inlet and outlet of 3". But they are called the "DB" Series made by Corsa. The black being the loudest. But the high0-flow cats were in the kit with my long tubes and y-pipe. From what I can tell they are made by AFCO which is Dynatech. Magnaflow makes some nice cats. Both in metallic and ceramic substrate.
You can get them anywhere really. Magnaflow makes a good cat. Along with Vibrant. Thing I like about them is they have choice of ceramic or metallic catalyst. The metallic core cats will last alot longer though.
I have the 10s on mine and it sounds no where near as good as this. I just ordered the exact set up as this truck. flowmaster 10s are exactly what jtskier11 stated, cheap muffler. This truck has a high quality exhaust and it shows in the sound. love it
I agree with you, the 4L60E should have never been used in a full size truck application. They are fine for S10's Colorados & such, but not for a full size.
im getting corsa exhaust on my 04 silverado for sure. I might get the new corsa db black series instead though and save a lot of cash. You can now buy corsa mufflers by themselves.
@@marcosnacianceno3559 good luck I’ve been trying to buy just the muffler for some time now and no they want you to buy the whole damm It’s exhaust set up
Dude, you should be fucking thrilled. This sounds great, people will probably bicker all day about it being too loud, fuck em! Don't change this, at all, sounds fucking miraculous!
Yes you can... But they only come in 2.5". These trucks stock sit at 2.75". Had I kept the stock y-pipe... I wouldnt have wanted to choke it from 2.75 down to 2.5...
if you get a built 4L60 from a reputable company and stay below a certain boost range you should be fine.. Can get an sts turbo kit run 5-7psi on a built 4L60 with no probs at all.. $1300 for a built trans, cheap.. 575 HP rating Want to do better change over to a 4L80E but cost quite a bit of money though lol..
jtskier11, How much difference in sound do he Dyntech LT's make cause now I have a custom exhaust and deleted muffler and hi flow cats and looking at Corsa or another good full exhaust.
@Loadedglocks I guess if I had a big lifted, rusted out shitbox Silverado that I wanted to sound like a Mustang I would get Blowmasters. Evens till............ Your objections is duly noted and summarily overruled. Corsa owns! Just as every poster on this video has said........... Except you!
Andrew Brister Summit racing part numbers for the headers : DTC-715-84110. Summit part number for the Corsa system vary on your vehicle. Just use their search options. I dont know if Dynatech has a matching y-pipe for those headers
tbone0785 do you have some contact info? I'd be willing to compensate you for your time if you could go to their shop and quote me a price on a muffler direct from them please.
what motor is in this chevy and what year is the truck? this sounds insane for a truck. almost sounds like it should be a vette or Camaro so I'm guessing it's the 6.2L? what else is done other than exhaust?
It's just a stock 5.3 in a 2004 Silverado with a few mods. Dynatech long tubes with high-flow catted Y pipe and Corsa Sport exhaust. I tweaked my tune a bit with EFILive and killed the rear O2's. That's it!
even doing it our way, still out performs a Flowmaster any day of the week. Those Flowmasters are very restrictive vs other brands unless you get the race series. Had flowmasters in the past, never again. Corsa FTW. Thats our new slogan. lol
hollowpoint27 I have the same wheels on my silverado and this is the first time seeing these wheels on a different truck but they are gmc accessory wheels that as far as I know were a dealer option
There is no better catback for these trucks then a Corsa. Love the setup with the LTs and highflow cats. Good job!
Now THAT'S what a truck is supposed to sound like. I love the Corsa on my '04 6.0L GM
You ought to hear this thing in person. Sounds great.
I'm doin this to my Z71, you sir are an inspiration.

I have the same exact truck but in green but I haven’t seen one anywhere else

Carspotting Of South Carolina nope, no SE badges.

best sounding nbs silverado! Does your engine light stay on after the LT install?
where did you get those cats? and how much did the muffler cost you? thanks
Do you remember what the part number was??

+Andrew Brister Yes you can. Corsa is right down the road from me.

hollowpoint27 I want to say they used them extensively on the 03-07 trucks.
Thanks
