Very good quality video. I want to resole some of my shoes for the first time, but I struggle to figure out how to find a waffle sole similar to yours that would work for my style of shoe
Man this is amazing! I have a pair of rowans that have the sole slick. The shoe actually does not have any signs of ollie or flip wear... A-ma-zing!!!!
They look absolutely mint well done thank you for sharing the process also a really beautifully edited video. I’m not sure this is something that I could do at home though
Your work on the shoes is impressive, and so is the video. I would like to resole a pair of Adidas Gazelles I own, but not sure I have the patience for it!
Great job. I have a favorite pair of Sperry leather sneakers that Id love to re-sole. Unless you have a watch or two which needs fixing, battery, and you'd care to do a trade for services, any chance we could get links to materials sources in the description below the video? Would be so appreciated, thank you!
Unless your contact glue/cement is different from the ones usually used you need to hammer a lot hard and more on a suitable surface (shoe anvil) or it will not bond so well.
Hi mate! I need some help. I have right now a ORIGINAL pair of soles which I want to put on my oldskool vans (I want to replace it), what is the best glue to use? I would glue the WHOLE sole at once.
How can a regular Joe do this at home? I have so many sneakers with perfectly good uppers that have split the soles. And where did you get the replacement soles?
So I have a pair of Vans that are slicked on their waffle and I'd rather not get rid of them. Is it more effective for me, someone who has no experience or tools in the cobbler (Shoemaking) trade to purchase a new pair or simply try to pick up the tools, items and find the time to attempt a resole like this? The work looks well done but I fear that the amount of money it will cost to simply buy the repairing tools would end up costing more than simply purchasing a new pair.
Is there a company that will actually do the restoration for you out there? I have a pair of vans that could use some repairs and I hate to let them go to waste...
Would you be willing to resole a pair of limited edition vans on video for me? I can't figure out the website where you got all the materials and also i want them to look as close to a factory finish as possible. I'm in the USA but can ship and will pay for your services and all materials.
@@andrewwilson9353 Did you end up getting him to do it? I'm on this video because I spent $400 on some rare vans and am scared to wear them/planning for the future lol

Amazing! Your join lines are cleaner than on my pair straight from the Vans store! 😂
Comfort, the one thing Van's never had, but should.
I know it's a little late but the SK8 or the BMX vans are extremely comfortable.

Where do you get the soles and the side walls to relate them?
That info is confidential and proprietary, this guy just makes the videos, according to him. So it is really not at all helpful.
can you put the link where you bought material?
He does not offer that information, making this video less than helpful.
Talcum powder or a couple thin produce bags around it might help the last slide in.
They look absolutely mint well done thank you for sharing the process also a really beautifully edited video. I’m not sure this is something that I could do at home though

Honestly.. I don't know all brand or variant of the glue from every country.. but try Google rubber sole glue and rubber primer..
How can a regular Joe do this at home? I have so many sneakers with perfectly good uppers that have split the soles. And where did you get the replacement soles?
Search for the materials nearby, i provide the how to video
@@shoemakerpenni great, thanks for that. 🙄

Hard to let vans go..

Do you have a link to the materials? I don't think anywhere.
Nope, no help from him on any of the actual necessary information. Total click bait.
Dude I'll pay you to do this to a pair of my original Chima pros!!
Lets go!
Is there a link for the rubber soles?
Not that he would share, no.
What kind of glue do u use for combining foam insole with fabric?
Lasting glue, the yellow kind of glue
Hey man, can I use hair dryer to warm it up?
It will do, only take longer

I can resole the waffle but I can't finish the midsole like the factory does
I dont mind if it's finish with glue instead of the vulcanization process. Sent you a private message on instagram.

Try the glue thinner.. prebond liquid
Try an electric heat gun to warm it up as you are pulling on the midsole
What vans are these?
